Bryten, the jewelry convention for measuring necklaces is 16", 18", 20", 24", etc. There is no convention for example of a " 7inch wearable". That is a meaningless measurement. I have over 40 books on jewelry making and none of them use a "wearable length" measurement. If you Google necklace length chart, you will see many charts, all use the entire measurement of the necklace. There are also names for the lengths, like collar, choker, princess, opera and matinee. BTW, vermeil is pronounced VER-MAY. There are no guarantees with Zell. It is a risky platform to use. Not a bad box overall. The necklace towards the end with flag like pieces may be horn.💖🌹💍💎

@@BrytenYourDay Bryten, not sure which of my points you are disagreeing with. If it is concerning necklace lengths, then I know the source of your confusion. Yes, we can agree to disagree on necklace lengths, however, most women do not know where a 7" or 9" wearable length will fall on their body. They would know where an 18" or 24" necklace would fall. Just as you use a ring mandrel with a standard US sizing, there is a standard for necklace sizing. I've had this discussion with other jewelry resellers and they use the industry standard which is the entire length of the piece. (BTW, my first name is FaithRobin.). 💖🌹💍💎
You are 100% correct@FaithRobin. “Wearable length” has no meaning and when I see a Seller using that wording it’s a red flag for me and I avoid the auction. I’m a jewelry person and I’ve been buying for 20 plus years online and everything you said is factual and you are using accepted standard terms in the jewelry “biz.” Sometimes too many facts are confusing for folks, but I hear you loud and clear.

it is bone. Ivory is much finer and almost white, but not quite white. ivory does not hve pitting. bone has pitting.

When i get goodwill blue boxes they were all junk. No gold, no silver, no makers marks. It was all garbage.
Lots of broken pieces. Low quality. I have yet to see a Goodwill product worth anything
