I am stunned at the news of Debra's passing. This is my all-time favorite duet. One of the best voices ever. Heaven has gained a powerful voice with the choir of angels. RIP, Debra Byrd. ❤

I can't believe it's been thirty years since I saw this tour.
Hector Rivera What a nice memory! I saw him live in concert at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles in ‘93. Then I saw him at the Paramount Studios during a taping of the Liza Show when he released “Singing with the Big Bands” in ‘94. Then Vegas in ‘95 and back to the Universal Amphitheater on New Year’s Eve that same year. Sitting there listening to him sing “It’s Just Another New Year’s Eve” live after having seen him sing that various times on Dick Clark’s Rocking Eve on tv was quite the treat! A friend of mine treated me to the first show since her boyfriend was an usher at the Universal Amphitheater. Come to think of it, I saw him at each of those appearances with her except for Vegas. Anyway, he was singing Weekend in New England during that first concert. When he got to the lyric “When can I touch you?” My friend and I yelled “RIGHT NOW” as loud as we could. We were seated somewhere in the back of the venue. First of all, it was completely spontaneous. Neither one of us knew the other was gonna do that. He moved us during that song. Secondly, it was hilarious because Barry reached for his ear in a comic attempt to unplug it because we left him deaf! The audience roared!!! Yup. We were THAT loud! 🤣
I was in the audience that night. It was so very special. I went to that tour 10 times

I love her! I worked with her in 1984 Andre De Shields show “Harlem nocturne” at the Latin Quarter. Every night I would wait to hear her wonderful voice singing, “say it again.” she was always so nice to me. May she rest in peace!

Barry Manilow has been an incredible influence in my life for many years. I remember my parents playing his music ever since I was a child. "This One's for You" album was just coming out then. Even as a kid I loved his voice and how his heartfelt songs made me feel. He comforted me, nursed me through my first broken heart as a teenager, and now sings to my soul helping me reminisce of days and people long gone. Thank you, Mr. Manilow! - A LONG time Fanilow ❤❤❤❤

Barry Manilow has no idea how much is has helped when I was young and my life was down. Because of his beautiful music he pulled me up and made me realize l'm not alone in this world with the same sad feelings. I will always be greatful for him and his music. She was in my homeroom at John Adams High School in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a talent then too! Mrs. Christy's protégé!Our homeroom was in the auditorium. She would sing all the time. One time she stood on stage and sang Summertime (from Porgy & Bess) for us, she was so talented! I always knew she would have a career in music. The last time I saw her, she was backup for Barry Manilow. RIP dear Debra. You will missed by many!😢

I had to play this one again as it is enchanting, but I will say what I really like about this duet is when Barry, you sing the line once and then Debra sings the same line and then the two of you sing it together. The way Debra walks so slowly across the stage to the steps you can tell that she is upset and then both of you singing just makes my heart beat faster, because I know how this one is going to end. I have this as a solo, by him and by Streisand. This arrangement as a duet is definitely the best. Tugs at my heartstrings every single time.
