I'll own up to it. I enjoy Barry Manilow as much as I do Green Day and Guns N Roses! And, I know I'll catch a lot of flack from *ALL* sides for this: Barry belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
Barry is in that small elite group of Top Superstars that have a secret following like The Bee Gees and Abba. People love them and they sell millions and millions of albums but a lot of people will simply not admit that they secretly love their music. Barry is in that small group of Superstars. He has recorded and released 57 Top 40 singles on the Adult Contemporary Chart, and 36 in the top twenty. He has had 15 Number 1 Hits on Billboards' top 100!. He has made 31 Studio Albums, and 6 Live Albums! He has 13 platinum and 6 multi-platinum albums! Barry has also written and performed songs for musicals and films. He has also produced Grammy-nominated albums for Bette Midler, Dionne Warwick, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan, and on and on. He has 2 Emmys, 3 AMAs, a Tony, and a Grammy, and is in the songwriter's Hall of Fame. He has a musical on Broadway called Harmony. Manilow has sold nearly 100 million records as a solo artist worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time! Barry is a Singer, Piano Player, Song Writer, Composer, Arranger, Producer, and Showman, If ever a musician belongs in the HOF, it's Barry Manilow! Abba, The Bee Gees, Neil Diamond, and Dolly Parton are in the HOF but not Barry Manilow! Shame on you Rock and Roll Hall of Shame! Shame! Shame!
@officialmanilowbarryWow I can't believe Barry replied to my comment! How cool is that!☺ Yes Barry I have been well entertained by your music! I went to see you at Western Kentucky University in 76 and once in 85 and once in 2006. You are the only artist I have gone to see 3 times. Well, you and The Rolling Stones that is, but you are the only solo artist LOL! You and your band and Lady Flash🥰 have always been so amazing! I'm a drummer and I play This One's For You and Bandstand all the time when I practice🥁. My friends, family, bandmates, and some girlfriends used to laugh at me growing up because I played your music but I didn't care. Songs like Mandy, Looks Like We Made It, and Somewhere in the Night touched me deep in my soul as a young person. I can remember I was 18 years old driving to my terrible job in my $400.00 Opal Kadet🚗 and me and my roommate were singing along with the radio as loud as we could to Can't Smile Without You! We had the windows down and people were staring🤨at us at intersections, but we didn't care, it was hilarious and wonderful! The funniest part was that my roommate didn't even like your music but he knew all the words because it played on AM Radio every 41 Mins😂🤣 Anyway, I could go on and on. Thank You 🙏for being a big part of the magical 🪄music of my life! My friend Barry Manilow! 😊
Ya know... Why doesn't Barry Manilow have a broadway show? A movie with all his music? Every one of them would make an awesome showtune! I just wish I'd live long enough to see it. HIs music has always been there playing in the background of my life. I"m sure it's the same for many octogenarians.. Wow! Did I jus spell that right the first time! That's a good sign! 👍😎
I love Barry Manilow so much! I have come to the conclusion that he was the greatest love of my life even though I never met him in person. He's my favorite singer and musician my Mental Health is terrible and he's really saved me many times. I'm 61 years old now and in the nursing home, but listening to Barry on my smartphone and seeing his videos really keeps me going. Love prayers and blessings to you always, my dear Barry. Let me speak about this particular video. I had two copies of the CD I loved it so much. I didn't buy it until after I saw him in person in September 2004 at Madison Square Garden in NYC. I am not musical but I have always admired musicians the most since I was a toddler and Barry Manilow ❤ is at the top of my list! After I bought the CD, I would relax after a long day at work I would relax by listening to Barry❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤
His medleys never cease to amaze me. They are sheer perfection! I used to love to sing along with Barry after a long day at work and a long commute home and I would frequently sing along with Barry , often to this CD. Anyway I can't sing and have asthma but I was able to build up my breath by belting along with Barry ❤.He is definitely the greatest entertainer of his generation, as Rolling Stone stated and I would add the greatest American musician of his generation !
I've taken my mother to the airport three times this year so she can see Barry in Vegas. Barry. retire already. You're so talented but I cant handle this anymore.
Thank you for posting brought back some great memories . Took my mother Anna Marie Anderson to see Barry Manilow years ago . She loved Barry Manilow Julio Iglesias and Michael Bolton. I took her to all three concerts . She passed away sadly on Nov 28 2021 . We use to sing Can't smile without you together. I miss you and I love you Mommy
Barry is the type of singer.you cant just listen while cleaning. You have to stop and truly get in the moment with him. Some songs and music we can do house cleaning. But Barry has a magnificent appeal and so I have to actually stop and be a part of the concert. Dance, sway , sing along. Just enjoy him!!❤❤❤❤
Hello 👋 you have sure a wonderful and lovely impact on Barry Manilow’s ❤️ career with your comments, love and support . A big thanks to you, text wouldn’t fail to express our gratitude to you, we love you . Thank you. My name is Garry Kief and I happened to be his personal online manager. Thank you so much 😘
Watching this again of course Barry's talent is amazing but let's also appreciate the talents of the musicians and backup singers. So seamless from going song to song and great sound. Kudos to all.
BEST TOUR EVER - LOVED this Medley of Hits - Shea's BUFFALO - I Write the Songs - you could NOT hear Barry singing - due to the Screams and applause of the Crowd - So WOUND Up from this concert - did not go to bed when I got home that night
I have loved him since early 70's and I am 82 now..and I play his cd's and sing along. Most of his love songs make me tear up because he reminds me of the love of my life and a lost love.. 💝😢
That was incredible. It’s 40 years ago today since my Mam took me to see Barry at Blenheim Palace. She passed away 5 years ago but I’m sure she’s remembering too. ‘Can’t smile without you’ Mam ♥️

Comes alive on stage. Great performer. Still remember goung to see him in the outdoor theater in the round in the South Shore of Massachusetts in college 1978. It was thrilling. I saw him in his limo after the show. Got front row tickets my ftiend s dad owned the venue. No cell phones then but the memory is forever burned into my memory. The thrill of my young life.
I had the pleasure to meet him twice as part of his charity. He donates all the money for the meet and greet to schools in the community that he performs in. He buys new musical instruments for schools in each city. Over $10,000 of musical instruments to middle and high schools.
Wow he’s amazing entertainer donates and buys musical instruments for schools he’s alright buy me to make it possible for students to Pursue music that’s what I believe in that gives to dreams.
I was lucky to see him live twice in the U.k where I live . He is a truly wonderful performer I have loved and followed him since my teens in the 70's and now am 64 his music still thrills me! Xx
Barry I have loved you what has seemed forever. I once drove two hours all by myself to go to a Book Signing in Dallas. That book is one of my most treasured things along with many BarryGrams from the International Fan Club. My younger son was 13 and went to a concert in Oklahoma City Concert... he stood up in a chair next to us and danced with you! We both had a blast!
Why is the music of today so dull. When I listen to this music I hear a melody and decent words not disgusting verses. I like the Song that makes the whole world sing
That was the best Barry. Boy that brings back memories of your concerts. You're so very talented. Love your music and songwriting. And you are better than Nelson Riddle. And God Bless you. You have had a very busy year receiving accolades and prestigious awards. You put so much into your performances. And now you have a Broadway Show. Harmony! Love you, Barry!
Barry is probably the most brilliant singer-songwriter of our times. He’s written countless songs which not only became very popular but had become part of our souls. This 22-minute medley already included most of his songs that became very famous but a lot of others have not even made the cut.
Marlene I don't disagree he's a brilliant musician all around. For people like me now in my 60s, the musician, artists, from this generation is incomparable in my opinion. But if I had to pick the most brilliant, it would be Paul McCartney! Guinness book of record's agrees. But these are great memories. Studio musician is one of my favorites that didn't do as good on charts. But he performed it so well. And to think he started by doing jingles for commercials!!! 👍🎶☮️🎹🎼
I lost a bet with my wife ( ex wife) and she chose a Barry Manilow concert as her prize. This was around 1995-96? One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Amazing songwriter and performer. We lost our beagle to cancer 3 days ago, I haven’t laughed or smiled since, until now. Thank you, Barry!!
i’m so sorry about your beagle. i have two and know what that loss feels like. i lost one in 11 years ago and still feel the loss everyday. i’m so grateful for the two i have right now.
@@josettemonachino4162 thank you. My phone screen saver is a pic of him. His name was Bagel. Bagel the Beagle. Lol. That was his name in the shelter and we kept it. We still have his bed and blanket in our living room and our chihuahua, they were best friends lays in it.
@@josettemonachino4162 no, I didn’t know that. That was his name in the shelter. We have a chihuahua also. Found him shivering under a car in freezing temps. Took him to the vet to see if he was chipped, he wasn’t. Took him to police station to see if anybody reported him missing. Nobody did. The cop said don’t put this on social media, there’s a dog fighting ring in our area and he said this little 5 pound chihuahua would be fed as a treat or sparring partner for one of those vicious dogs. People can be so cruel!! So we held onto him, named him Lucky. Found out a month later that a tenant moved out and left him behind. He ran out of the apt when maintenance went in to paint and turn the apt over for the next resident. He’s been with us for 3 years now. He misses his buddy Bagel, as we all do.
Barry is the best male vocalist/musician/songwriter/performer of all time. Barry's songs move even the most hardened heart. His music will live forever.
23 songs in 21 minutes and that doesn't even cover half of his great songs. Went to quite a few of Barry's concerts back in the day, and they were the most entertaining shows I've ever been to. Mr. Manilow is a hell of a singer/songwriter/arranger and entertainer. One of a dying breed unfortunately. I'm glad he's supporting music in schools. We need more proper musicians like him.
I recall seeing this show when it came to NYC. Took a couple along who were Barry non-believers who were 'converted' by the end of it all. Having seen him at least a dozen times (last in 2019) he never disappoints. He's immensely talented and puts time and effort into his shows...which is why he is still in demand at arenas around the world in 2022
That was one hellava compilation of songs! Rehearsals must have been incredibly exciting. Remembering which song was next omg! The standing ovation at the end well deserved. Barry forever the showman and one of the last crooner pop music artists from the 70 left. Thank you Barry Manilow. It's 2022 & we love you ❤💯
I appreciate your great love and support you show me as a special fan of mine🌹🌹. I hope you won't stop listening to our music, and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards our music 💞🖤 may god bless you guy. Have you been to any of the show?
You sure do ,"write the songs". My sister and I enjoyed your show in Atlantic city. Our dear Father had dementia and passed away recently, today for the first time in a while, you made my whole world sing! ❤
Watching this on New Year's Eve 2023. Having a father who played piano I've always loved piano music and about 6 years ago I said I want to see Billy Joel, Elton John and Barry Manilow live before I'm gone. Saw Billy 5 years ago, Elton twice in 6 months on his farewell tour last year. Now this makes me want to see Barry even more. Simply amazing medley. 🎉
Good for you! I decided to see him on my 58th birthday on 3/8/24. After Mr. Manilow, has written the soundtrack to my life. I skated to his music. My son wouldn’t let me go to Vegas by myself, so I’m taking him . 8th row center. He is learning Manilow now by watching. 26yrs old and “ Manilowed”❤🎉
@@dottiee1596 Nice. Yes I will be 59 I n 2 days. Glad I have got to see some of my favorites like Billy Joel, Elton, The Scorpions and Duran Duran in the last few years but Barry is at the top of list of bands or singers I still want to see.
I’m 61 yo but still feels young when I hear his voice , his songs! When I am emotionally down, his songs soothes me well! Will always be Barrys’ big fan! Hope you will have concert here in Japan!
A 22-minute medley at one go. Who does that?! Such a stunner in voice, music, face, and physique. What a wholesome package! God is good to Barry Manilow.
Again as I've posted in comments before I've always wanted to see him but he's pretty much been in Vegas the last few years and occasionally in New York. Now finally this summer he's doing one little mini tour of about 20 cities in the central United States. He has about five shows in different cities in Texas, and I think a couple in Oklahoma, and one each in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. I'm going to the one here in August in Fort Worth Texas. Maybe you can get to one of these places. Again it sounds like this will be the last tour of any kind that he does before he goes back to Vegas and plays and sings until he decides to retire.
Thank you for the information and updates. Unfortunately I'm not residing in the US so be difficult for me to catch any of the performances.. nonetheless thanks for sharing 🙏
I was a 15 year old in the mid 60's when I used to watch your shows while babysitting and your voice and songs were amazing...I became an instant fan and loved all your shows...you are as amazing now as you were then and your voice is such a pleasure singing your beautiful songs...you will be 80 years young this year and I hope you continue with good health and bring us your beautiful songs and your amazing voicelove always.. Monica ...June 2023...❤❤❤❤ 12:38
Saw this concert Twice. Absolutely amazing. First time on Broadway and then at the LI Forum at the time. I screamed so loud at weekend in New England that he stopped playing and said “ Someone knows my songs in the rafters. Lol
Thank you, Barry for making my mornings so enjoyable. I listen and watch this each morning and it just brings smiles to my face. You’re the best entertainer on Earth. So much talent! I saw you in Las Vegas and it just brought tears to my eyes. I never wanted the performance to end. Keep singing 🎶 Sir and maybe you’ll come to Seattle so I can experience another wonderful concert again! My best to you‼️🥰❤️❤️
Barry, I will forever be in love with you. You've been in my heart since the very beginning. I've been to every show you've ever performed in St. Louis and in 1988 I had a dream come true when I got to go up on the stage with you at the Fox and sing Can't Smile Without You - I will never forget it. You should receive a Kennedy Center Honor. Love you always.
I love this Medley on Broadway no less. Barry, is there nothing you cannot do at the highest level of anyone. Thank you for giving this one to us....................Love ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Betsy Blue-Eyes
I don't know Barry, but this Medley may surpass the one from LA in 2002. It is really breathtaking and all songs are my top favorites. You do such a perfect job in anything I see. Take care, Barry...We need you around until at least 100...........Love......Betsy
The older I get the more I recognize that he rates as one of the greatest songwriters in the history of time alongside Cole Porter Lerner & Lowe Irving Berlin yadda yadda yadda.
Except he didn’t write a BUNCH of the songs he performed. He was a master at choosing great songs written by others and then arranging them in ways that were all his. Not to say he couldn’t write songs because he certainly could and did. But much of what he did was written by others like “Mandy” and “I Write The Songs.” Kudos to him for giving those songwriters a shot to have songs performed by him.
@@Tbird2191 about 30-40 % of his work is by others including his biggest hits Mandy and I write the songs . I like his work but he’s not up there with a Porter or Berlin.
Mandy was the first song I heard from the wonderful Barry and I was surprised I could understand the lyrics (I'm Mexican and I was 13), later it was the same with "I write the songs" and many others. I'm so glad to presenced his performance in Mexico city 2 years algo. He still sings very well.
Been fan since I was little n I'm fifty nine but saw him Atlantic City just keeps my heart going the best can't find music like this great person n gentleman god bless him
Barry, love the, have only been to one concert that my late partner took me to, I was totally in awe, will eternally be grateful to him for doing that, wish so much that he was still here. I have been diagnosed with a brain tumour, so doubtful that I will get to see Barry again, but like my partner he will stay in my heart
I was watching your shows and it brighten up my day. You always have a way brightening peoples. Lives. Just like my new guy I have been talking to. Happy BIRTHDAY. LOVE YOU!!!!!
I really am glad I found this Medley and on Broadway. You really can do whatever you want to and you are better than anyone else. Barry, don't know what I would of done if I had not found you in 1974. A very special year for me. Love you................Betsy
How I love Barry Manilow. My older sister was a fan and I use to play all her vinyls over and over in the 80's. His music awakens something so deep in my soul. I was fortunate enough to see him a few years back with my sister. He was phenomenal.
The songs sound as good today as they did when they first came out. Barry has a way of giving us permission to be honest and vulnerable. His music appeals to people of all backgrounds. For example, I have an Aunt Carol who I love and admire but who couldn't be more different than I. She loves Barry's music too! I love Barry. Prayers.
This medley brought back so many memories. I saw Live on Broadway in NY. Barry sounded AWESOME and looked so handsome in the black and white shirt. I wish he could sing for us forever! We (and I) love you Barry STILL!
This show I just watched from Broadway was so magnificent I almost cried, just something about the entire medly was so genius because iI have seen Barry everywhere 50 times or more but he is just the ultimate voice ,singer and person in the world. 💯❤
This man knows how to write a song! Late to the Manilow party (40+ YO) but love the stylistic melodies, lyrics, and music.... He is a true jewel and rarity! Long live BarryM!
Barry is the best singer and lyricist in my lifetime. I’ve never heard even one song 🎵 I dislike. Saw him in Las Vegas in the ‘90’s and it took me weeks to get over that performance! What a wonderful and brilliant man! Love you, Barry‼️🥰🫶
Who are the idiots that give this a thumb down? Ugh. I LOVE BARRY. he is music and he sure did write the songs. Seen him many times in concert and he doesn’t disappoint. ❤️❤️
He is the most incredibly talented singer, songwriter, arranger. I have seen him in concert too many times to count. I love all his songs, especially the ones that never made it to the radio. I've been on a Barry kick lately and they always bring me back to the time when I was totally obsessed. I still appreciate the fact that he wrote songs with a beginning, middle and end. And there is nobody better at adding modulation into a song. Thanks, Barry for all of these great years of music!
Amen to that! He is my happy place! Was supposed to see him the year of the pandemic again in Vegas! Was soo disappointed. But, maybe this year! We stay in our time share next door to where he performs there. He will go down in history as one of our best songwriters ( composer really)
I don't think to this day there was anyone that ever was more talented in writing and singing beautiful love ballots the way this man was truly go down in history is one of the all time greats
That's 100% correct‼There has never been and there can NEVER EVER be another even remotely close to him in this world....just look at this Magnificent and Grande performance‼He's totally unbeatable ‼ 🥀⚘🌹🏆🏆🏆💯🎵🎼🎶🎺🎸🎆
I LOVE YOU BARRY! I've been away from Las Vegas for 20 years. I grew up there. I hope to go back to see you one more time. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ME AND MANY!❤

Again how can you dislike this song. Its performed by a great singer and you can actually hear the words
Hello Marlene! How are u?
I love listening to your beautiful voice. Mandy is my most favorite song.
I live in Las Vegas and I am hoping to be able to come and see you perform
Marlene I don't disagree he's a brilliant musician all around. For people like me now in my 60s, the musician, artists, from this generation is incomparable in my opinion. But if I had to pick the most brilliant, it would be Paul McCartney! Guinness book of record's agrees. But these are great memories. Studio musician is one of my favorites that didn't do as good on charts. But he performed it so well. And to think he started by doing jingles for commercials!!! 👍🎶☮️🎹🎼
I can think of one... Like a good neighbour...
Everyone forgets about *THAT* one!
May your life be blessed with the same blessings you have shared with us,thank you!!we love you!❤❤❤
I lost a bet with my wife ( ex wife) and she chose a Barry Manilow concert as her prize.
@@paulseigeldorf9461 aww that is beautiful. did you know that was barry manilows beagle name? he had one named biscuit and one named bagel. ❤️🐶

I saw him on my 21st birthday at Resorts in Atlantic City. One of the best shows I have ever seen.
Understatement❤
23 songs in 21 minutes and that doesn't even cover half of his great songs. Went to quite a few of Barry's concerts back in the day, and they were the most entertaining shows I've ever been to. Mr. Manilow is a hell of a singer/songwriter/arranger and entertainer. One of a dying breed unfortunately. I'm glad he's supporting music in schools. We need more proper musicians like him.
One of the best Medleys Ever! X
I recall seeing this show when it came to NYC. Took a couple along who were Barry non-believers who were 'converted' by the end of it all. Having seen him at least a dozen times (last in 2019) he never disappoints. He's immensely talented and puts time and effort into his shows...which is why he is still in demand at arenas around the world in 2022
He is in Manchester U.K. Tomorrow May 18th 2024😍
That was one hellava compilation of songs! Rehearsals must have been incredibly exciting. Remembering which song was next omg! The standing ovation at the end well deserved. Barry forever the showman and one of the last crooner pop music artists from the 70 left. Thank you Barry Manilow. It's 2022 & we love you ❤💯
❤ you Barry Manilow
I wonder how he remembers all the lyrics, and which song comes next. 21 minutes of pure magical singing!
What a stage presence and what a singer the best!!
"I made it through the rain" is like a gay anthem to me " thankyou for this gift ,Barry" ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🌈
I remember as a kid in the 70s,my mum loved Barry,we used to go to his concerts in Birmingham UK in the 80s,this is a great trip down memory lane.
I have been a fan for over 30 years
Thanks what a great set of music. You are so entertaining. All of your music has a special place in our hearts.
Nobody does a medley like Barry Manilow. Timeless!
I appreciate your great love and support you show me as a special fan of mine🌹🌹. I hope you won't stop listening to our music, and thanks for your sincere
Compliment and love towards our music 💞🖤 may god bless you guy. Have you been to any of the show?
You sure do ,"write the songs". My sister and I enjoyed your show in Atlantic city. Our dear Father had dementia and passed away recently, today for the first time in a while, you made my whole world sing! ❤
Hello ! Barry Manillow this is your one of your fans. from Philippines with love
@Nekofficial. I am 78 years old, and I love his music since 1975
A 22-minute medley at one go. Who does that?! Such a stunner in voice, music, face, and physique. What a wholesome package! God is good to Barry Manilow.
The best for love songs
Barry you're the GREATEST ENTERTAINER of our time! ~ Much Love Barry!
I had the opportunity to watch 2 of his concerts.. I'm really hoping and wishing to catch 1 more
Again as I've posted in comments before I've always wanted to see him but he's pretty much been in Vegas the last few years and occasionally in New York.

The older I get the more I recognize that he rates as one of the greatest songwriters in the history of time alongside Cole Porter Lerner & Lowe Irving Berlin yadda yadda yadda.
how many of these did he write
Except he didn’t write a BUNCH of the songs he performed. He was a master at choosing great songs written by others and then arranging them in ways that were all his. Not to say he couldn’t write songs because he certainly could and did. But much of what he did was written by others like “Mandy” and “I Write The Songs.” Kudos to him for giving those songwriters a shot to have songs performed by him.
@@JimmyLeeHook I think you are right
@@evans54 pretty much everything he sang,.he wrote.
You could close your eyes and think your on Broadway with him, sings with no effort at all,one of the best singers ever ❤
