So to correct the erroneous narrative- Penske & Donohue did not "dominate" for "four years" after '67. '67 & '70 championships were won by Mustang. '68 & 69 by Camaro. '71 won by Javelin. A nice mix.
It would not.matter..a.68z car 302 cross ram 2 4bbls 600hp motor will take over anything on that track.esp.a penske car with Mark Donohue. Very famous camaro.
randy jones, The Camaro cross-ram dual quads were not allowed in the Trans-Am series. No Chevy 302, with dual quads, ever had 600 hp, either. You're obviously delusional.
@@shelbyavant5081 No Chevy 302 engine ever came from the factory with the cross ram dual quads intake manifold. SCCA T/A rules were that the engines had to comply with what was available from the factory. Same applied to the Ford Boss 302 inline 4bbl carb. Dealer, or customer, installed option ONLY ! NOT factory production. Thus, you're full of crap.
I know this is late coming, I just saw this video today. Beside winning in 1970, the Boss teams would have won in 1969 if Harvey Firestone could have produced a quality race tire. Evidenced by the number of pole positions Ford got that season. Trois Riviers race didn't help.
My grandfather Roy Gane, was Roger Penskes head mechanic, and built this car, he just passed away a couple weeks ago RIP Axlerod
I know Roy
'67 vent windows, '68 standard grille and '68 standard tail lights. Interesting.
Love that car
I Just saw it in Sioux Falls SD

Ok, so in 67, 68, 69, 70, and 71, Penske and Donohue won races. Of those, they took the championship 3 times with two makes? That's not domination?
why the '68 lights
to report the action that the other motorist is turning left or right to avoid accidents

@@sergeantmasson3669 The cross ram setup was developed SPECIFICALLY for the trans am series. Do more research.
