Dear Jaskaran. Not all universities or trusts offer clinical attachment. You are not paid for it. And they are jobs , basically you are shadowing and learning under guidance. After satisfactory completions of clinical attachment and being signed off you usually get a job in the trust. Even if you dont get one, they give you a reference letter using that you can apply for a job. Best wishes.

I’m unsure as to what the question is. But if you are asking about giving PLAB exam from India then yes you can book for a location in India while booking the exam.

You can mention it. Usually, they provide you with 6 months tourist visa so potentially if there is a place available for PLAB2 then you can appear for it while you are here. All this depends on PLAB2 places being available once your results come out as you can't book it without passing PLAB1. Hope this makes sense. Just for you to be aware of the timeline: Your PLAB1 results will come out a little later than a month after you exam. You would require a month(at least) or more depending on how confident you are to practice for PLAB2 to then appear for the exam. Maybe while you are waiting for PLAB1 results start looking up for an academy and start practicing/preparing. Hope this helps!

I don’t know how agents work as I’ve never consulted one. What I can say is, I don’t have relatives in the U.K either. I applied for tourist visa for PLAB and showed bookings of my accommodation(which was via AirBNB that I booked myself), return flight tickets, account statements, exam booking and letter from my parents suggesting they will financially support me during the trip. PS: You don’t need agents when it comes to visa for any country. At least that’s what I believe in.

1. Can apply for visa without exam confirmation however I would suggest you apply for visa after exam confirmation as it supports your case for visa better. 2. Again.. speaking from experience I showed them exam confirmation. You could try the method you are suggesting but I can’t vouch for it. There is no point of having visa before booking exam as visa arrives soon anyway. Main thing is to find exam slot. Hope this helps!

For someone to work in USA you need to clear the USA licensing exams.. USMLE. U.K. license is valid in obviously Ireland, Scotland, England and also in.. Australia and New Zealand.

if i understood your question correctly, you do have a period of 2 years for doing your PLAB 2 exam after PLAB 1. So yes if you wish to work in your country / get your internship done that can be done. i would recommend that coz after internship in your country you can finish your PLAB 2 and get a FULL registration which will qualify you for FY2 jobs.

1. No, you can’t convert visas. 2. Post PLAB2 exams you need to return to India to apply for tier 2 visa for the first time. 3. You can apply for Tier2 visa while your tourist visa remains valid. But geographically you need to be in your home country to apply for it(for the first time). Hope this makes sense.

As an FY1 , yes it is quite tough the best thing you could do is come back to your country do internship and then apply for an FY2 job which is more widely availble . Hope that helps.
When applying for tourist visa? Yes. When applying for tourist visa (for PLAB exam).. all you need is exam booking confirmation like I’ve mentioned, bank statements to support your duration of stay, letter from the person sponsoring the trip (if anyone) etc. Please watch the video as I’ve clearly explained the requirements. Again a very subjective question.. it depends. I am sorry but I can’t give a generalised answer. If you feel confident then by all means go ahead. I wasn’t sure of what was expected of me in the exam, how the system works, what are the guidelines, what are the layers of care that one can provide, what exactly are the options I can be giving when doing safety netting etc etc. I wanted to be safe rather than sorry by not doing the course. Also, we should be mindful that we weren’t born, raised, educated or lived in this country and our first language isn’t English. You learn a lot with regards to bedside manners and how OSCE works in the course. We haven’t learnt shit(sorry for my language) with regards to OSCE in our home country. I’ll be making a video very soon about this.

Yes you can , but i would advise you not to. This exam is costly, its costed me approximately 5000$. So its best to just pay for all the necesary things coaching classes, materials etc etc and get the best chance to pass this exam in one attempt.

It varies from speciality to speciality. What you need to remember is in U.K. post your core training (3 years) you need to do higher speciality training (varies from speciality to speciality) for you to become a consultant. Higher speciality training is what you call super speciality in India which isn’t compulsory back home.
Hey hi, I will be taking the plab 2 exam soon and have to apply for the visa before that. My question is that, my name on the passport does not match with any other Indian ID proof documents, due to the fact that we are allowed to put "just" initials for surname in every indian document like aadhar, but not in the passport. So how do I deal with this issue? Will there be complications regarding this when I apply for the visa?

3 Simple reasons for me being: a) UK route is cheaper compared to US path b) All UK exams are non competitive. You just have to pass them. But usmle until recently needed good scores as well as passing. 3) both the UK and US qualifications are valid almost everywhere, albeit UK being cheaper . But MD/MS from India is going to hard to show as "qualification" elsewhere.
After PLAB2 you either have option to apply for a training or a non training post. Like I have mentioned in my video I’ll talk about other visas in a separate video. It’s a lot of information to be crammed in a single video. ☺️
You don’t have an interview but you do submit a ton of papers to support your case. If things aren’t crystal clear then U.K. is also very notorious for visa rejection. Canada on the other hand is as simple as it can be to attain a visa.

MRCP is a membership exam. You could then apply for speciality training in any of the medicine specialities after clearing the exams.

If I were you, I would show both. I had showed savings, fixed deposit and property papers of my parents even, for the visa.

When applying for tourist visa (for PLAB exam).. all you need is exam booking confirmation like I’ve mentioned, bank statements to support your duration of stay, letter from the person sponsoring the trip (if anyone) etc. Please watch the video as I’ve clearly explained the requirements. Hello. Can we clear PLAB 2 exam without joining any academy in UK?
Again a very subjective question.. it depends. I am sorry but I can’t give a generalised answer. If you feel confident then by all means go ahead. I wasn’t sure of what was expected of me in the exam, how the system works, what are the guidelines, what are the layers of care that one can provide, what exactly are the options I can be giving when doing safety netting etc etc. I wanted to be safe rather than sorry by not doing the course. Also, we should be mindful that we weren’t born, raised, educated or lived in this country and our first language isn’t English. You learn a lot with regards to bedside manners and how OSCE works in the course. We haven’t learnt shit(sorry for my language) with regards to OSCE in our home country. I’ll be making a video very soon about this.

Yes you can , but i would advise you not to. This exam is costly, its costed me approximately 5000$. So its best to just pay for all the necesary things coaching classes, materials etc etc and get the best chance to pass this exam in one attempt.

You can’t work on a tourist visa. You need Tier2 visa(work visa) as a doctor to work in the U.K.

Yes. Also, PLAB2 results takes over a month anyway. So, you would be going back regardless. And you need to apply for jobs and get jobs offer etc to then apply for Tier2 visa.

It varies from speciality to speciality. What you need to remember is in U.K. post your core training (3 years) you need to do higher speciality training (varies from speciality to speciality) for you to become a consultant. Higher speciality training is what you call super speciality in India which isn’t compulsory back home.

Hey hi, I will be taking the plab 2 exam soon and have to apply for the visa before that. My question is that, my name on the passport does not match with any other Indian ID proof documents, due to the fact that we are allowed to put "just" initials for surname in every indian document like aadhar, but not in the passport. So how do I deal with this issue? Will there be complications regarding this when I apply for the visa?

Btw I'm only an Indian citizen I don't have any visas
3 Simple reasons for me being:
a) UK route is cheaper compared to US path
b) All UK exams are non competitive. You just have to pass them. But usmle until recently needed good scores as well as passing.
3) both the UK and US qualifications are valid almost everywhere, albeit UK being cheaper . But MD/MS from India is going to hard to show as "qualification" elsewhere.

You don’t have an interview but you do submit a ton of papers to support your case. If things aren’t crystal clear then U.K. is also very notorious for visa rejection. Canada on the other hand is as simple as it can be to attain a visa.
