My timeline : 2016 Completed Graduation 03/2016-03/2017- 1 year Intern-valid by GMC 03/2017-03/2018- Did 1 year House office job 03/2018-03/2021(3 years gap) Preparing for entrance exam here in my country and Had to look after family business (non medical). 03/2021-At present(about 9months) Working in hospital as House Officer and planning to give PLAB. I guess completing PLAB would take about 1 to 2 years from now. Will my 3 years gap affect on being register to GMC, finding a job and later getting into training? Hope your answer will help me and others having similar queries. And again thank you for all the informations.

One question doc , what if one has completed one year rotatory internship but hasn't worked as a medical officer instead applied for PLAB and cracked it. What document to send for Employer References considering the person hasn't worked as a MO ( Medical officer). Does he have to work as a MO for 1/2 year just to get that employer reference and than apply for PLAB or is it possible to do that in UK itself. And many say that it's not necessary to pass the license of the country where you have done mbbs from like it's not necessary to pass FMGE/MCI for Indians and still can apply for PLAB. Good evening, I am doing MD program in a Bulgarian Medical Univeristy. After finishing MD, we'll receive a diploma but no separate internship certificate. May I know if I will be able to register with GMC after completing the MD program and doing FY1 and FY2 in the UK or will I have to take PLAB and then register with the GMC?

greeting , i do have two questions if i may ask, i did set up gmc online account and booked plab 1 and waiting for the results .my question is : how can i edit my passport number as i just got new passport ,because previous one got expired this month (1 year after creating gmc online account) my second question is : how can i edit the year of graduation on gmc online ,as i set the graduation year by mistake a year later than my degree certification ? your help is much appreciated .
1. Your passport number is the same and doesn’t change with renewed passport. I have never heard of that. 2. Please email or call GMC. They will be able to guide/help with IT issues like changing details on GMC account.

1. I think I would email GMC (already) even if it’s too early to clarify about needing translation with the certificate. Just to be safe. But that’s just me. 2. You can’t do ID check (apply for GMC registration) when you haven’t cleared PLAB2(received your results). I have described the entire process step by step in the video AFTER you pass PLAB2.

Hi Doctor. I am texting for my son. He got a date for Plab 1 in November this yr. No other dates available early. So if he clear this exam , then to get a date and visa for Plab 2, I think it is taking a long time now due to the pandemic. Is it possible for him to join for some 1 year diploma courses in any of the Uk university and during the course , if he could appear for Plab 2 there , it would be much easier than waiting for Plab 2 exam visa in India. Do they allow students to give this exam there during their study period
Hello. There is no such prohibition from sitting the plab 2 exam whilst they are doing a 1 yr diploma in UK. The only requirement to sit the Plab 2 is, having cleared the Plab 1.

Is it possible for him to join for some 1 year diploma courses in any of the Uk university and during the course , if he could appear for Plab 2 there , it would be much easier than waiting for Plab 2 exam visa in India. Do they allow students to give this exam there during their study period
Hello. There is no such prohibition from sitting the plab 2 exam whilst they are doing a 1 yr diploma in UK. The only requirement to sit the Plab 2 is, having cleared the Plab 1.
