- UPDATE: As of October 2019, you are no longer required to sit for a separate test for UKVI IELTS if you have already been registered with GMC(Post clearing PLAB). If you have GMC registration in place then that is considered satisfactory to be granted Tier2 visa.

After October 2019, you are no more required to sit for seperate test for UK VI IELTS, your GMC registration will be considered enough to obtain a tier 2 visa. Please correct this info.
From their immigration website: "You do not need to prove your English language proficiency again for Skilled worker visa (previously known as Tier 2 visa) if you had already taken some exam for GMC registration purposes."

Please clarify my doubt about scores for ielts. I heard that we need a score of 7.5 in each module to apply for the UK Foundation programme. IS this for IMGs writing PLAB ? If so, then should I score 7.5 to apply for jobs as an FY2 after GMC registration ?

I saw a similar video on Road to uk channel on UA-cam and Road to uk website where she said gmc reg will vouch for tier 2 visa and that we don’t have to sit for IELTS again. How true is that or has gmc given out new instructions, kindly respond.
You are correct. She has posted an edit in her description box and pinned a comment that says GMC registration is enough for tier 2 visa application. You do not need to pass Ielts again. Best regards.

Depends on how long you take to get your GMC registration, how many jobs you apply, how many offer you a post, how long you take to get your visa work sorted.. etc etc. I can’t be putting a number on it. Sorry!

Highly trusted sponsors are big companies who have an arrangement with HOME OFFICE to sponsor. Such as British Gas and NHS.

For GMC registration ACADEMIC is required which you can simultaneously use for visa purposes if still valid. But it is not the other way round. So if you have a valid IELTS of general training you used for visa purpose it will not be usable for gmc registration purpose.

IELTS academic. The reason is the standards and expectations for someone doing training in medical field is higher. IELTS UKvi as the name suggests is for visa purpose , not training and education purpose.

It should not be problem getting a non training job. It is not heard of generally. Not get into training is heard of especially if are looking for a niche specialty.

NHS is the one of the biggest sponsors of work permit and tier 2 visa should not be a problem.
I think you are referring to other categories of visa where the individual does their own visa.
So visitor visa may become an issue but in general a visa rejection for appearing for PLAB2 is not heard of commonly.

There is no institute list. You apply either for non training jobs or for training programme. Both of which I’ve covered on my UA-cam channel videos.

For Tier2 visa? Yes. Only thing acceptable is UKVI IELTS for Tier2 Visa.
Hey Pooja. I just checked and I need to correct myself here. If you have GMC registration then you don't need to sit for another English test aka UKVI IELTS anymore. This is the latest update by Immigration office. I didn't want to leave you hanging with the wrong information. Hope this helps!

You need valid UKVI/IELTS/OET for GMC registration.

Dear Darshana.
I do not think it should be a problem getting a non training job in surgery or orthopaedics if that's what you are looking for. You have an ⭐advantage that you dont need to be taught the basics of surgery and pre and post operative management. In fact you will be an asset and consultants and registrars love such candidates because they can leave pts with you without keeping a close eye on you. You might even get RMO jobs which pay well. The disadvantage is they are not training jobs so if you are happy with it , should be fine.
