I forgot to list the pouring medium! The PM is Sherwin Williams HGTV Ultra Deep Base untinted house paint mixed with Minwax Polyacrylic varnish in Gloss. It’s a 2:1 ratio Paint to varnish. Since I’m using Golden Fluid Acrylics, I add several drops of color to approximately 3 oz. of PM and mix. No water added. If using tube paint you’ll need a tiny bit of water to get the same consistency.
Of all the people who post pour art on youtube, you are my favorite. I love how you keep it real and have no problem showing mistakes. Your results are always great and inspiring. Please keep the content coming.
I like how you aren’t afraid to show us to scrape away anything we’re not happy with. You share what you like and don’t like about a piece. Then scrape and start again. It shows us that even a professional artist isn’t always happy with the creation, and not afraid to admit it
That big BLUE blob was DOPE to me, just STUNNING, I would have stopped, it turned out great, but I really liked that...I always ENJOY your artistry. Thanks.
Hi Karen, This is the 1st. time I watched you. You have a very calm teaching style (that's a gift). I have been trying to learn how to paint feathers, all my life. You made a 78 year old "kid" happy.
i love your videos. I have learned so many things that I never gleaned from watching countless others. Some people are just natural born teachers!! Keep up the good work, and putting a smile on our faces too!!
Talking about your tub that you have your spinner in. I’d like to share with you and your viewers what I use. Here in Aus ( and probably over there) you can buy a little wading pool at Bunnings for $20. I pour in it , place my spinner in it and when my paint drys, it peels right off, just like a silicone mat, only cheaper!
I have it sitting between 2 tables because it doesn’t have to take a lot of weight. One table was a little shorter but I just levelled it with some wood. The upper lip of the pool is 3 ft x3 ft . The base is round with 28 inch diameter
I suppose I could have just sat it on top of the table but I prefer the height how it is , just over 30 inches. I use my spinner on top of my bars, on a small piece of plywood
Love it that u take your time, sharing with us like friends in yr kitchen ;-) yr beautiful arts and smile feed our souls as well as our eyes n hearts 💕
All three were lovely. You were using my fav colors today. Very much enjoyed the whole 45 min. I paused a few times between projects to take care of my household chores. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Hi Karen, You don't have to be sorry, it didn't seem long because we were very entertained with what you were doing. You ended with three absolutely gorgeous paintings. You are worth every minute. Keep up the awesome work. Love, love , love it.
You continue to impress and gain confidence in each of your paintings! You have established yourself as a truly unique artist in the world of abstraction! I hope that you continue to inspire others with your future projects and keep up the momentum of your art and your style! I admire and respect your creativity in how you mix your colors. You always have a keen sense of choice when it comes to your painting style. The round canvases and the square pieces that you use always turn out to be awesome in their composition! Great work and great painting as always!❤❤❤❤
Beautiful flip cup! ❤️. That bloom is so pretty that I bet it sold within 15 min of the end of this video! Wow! ❤️❤️❤️. The third one reminds me of “Islands in a Stream.” I think it’s cool. ❤️❤️
They're all beautiful, but the last one is my favorite. Glad you changed your mind about it. Not too long at all for 3 (really 4) pours. Great to see all the different techniques. Inspiring! Enjoy your stories, too. Thanks for all the fun :)
Karen you are such an inspiration for me and others. I simply adore your work! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. You provoke me to try harder. You explanation for getting the feel for paint, and the pool made a lot of sense! Great work! 🎨🌹🥰
This is one of the best, perhaps the best pour design I've seen so far, colors are beautiful too. And thank you so much for all that laughs, laughed with you. You're very talented and fun at the same time. Much love.
Wowie! They all turned out well. The first one looks like under the sea plant life. The 2nd painting was so stunning! It had a little heart near the center. Sweet! The 3rd elongated bloom was like a little babbling brook working it's way through the boulders.
This is amazing and my favourite colours. Haven’t tried this yet. I’ve been doing fibre arts for the past several years but I need to get back to my true love, paint/sketch.
And you know what makes it such fun to watch your videos - besides the beautiful results - is that you always look so surprised that they came out so perfect ☺😉 Love your skills! From Holland with love.
Regarding your second pour that you labeled 'FAIL' - I loved it; it made me think of looking through a crashing wave to the sky. I also loved how it looked when you 'redid' it.
That first one you showed off in the beginning it reminded me of the inside of a jellyfish, or something reminiscent of a sea creature. Then the second one looks like a beautiful Forrest to me ❤️ so awesome!!!!

what do you use to make it so shiny? also, do you seal the canvas when done? If so, with what?
Tammy H it’s just wet paint. Once cured I Resin them.
What do you use to create the cells? How much do you add?
E Pierce watch at 4:13; cell activator recipe comes up in the screen.
Hi just confirming you have house paint, gac800 and varnish in the pouring medium? Thanks. Love your results.tganks for sharing😀

Awesome analogy (swimming/stirring) for mixing paint! Very useful! Thanks!!
Turned out lovely. Good combination of colors. Blues & green looks good together.😃😃😍😍😍

elizabeth challis but you need a pretty good size base?

Kiddie pool. Easy to find in several sizes. You can get solid plastic or inflatable ones.
I used a base that you can buy to place your washing machine in to ensure you have no water leakage should something go wrong
I love blue combinations, thank you
That was beautiful I have to watch it again and writ it all down...beautiful
The 1st one of the best pouring acrylics I've seen.
