This is stunning! You came up on my timeline. Subscribed. Top tip for masking tape. Heat it with a hair dryer. It will activate the adhesive. Rub down firm. It will still be low tac & remove exact same way. But with a clean line( Old House decorators trick) Hope this helps?
Yeah that’s a good idea! I just did another seahorse last night and used your hairdryer-on-tape trick. It did improve how well the tape stuck to the canvas, so thanks!
Love this. I never fully copy another person's art work... just 'borrow' concepts or composition. I left the eye white & hand painted in 7 hyper-realistic bubbles of various sizes in desired places. I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing & for your time!!!
I love that you figured this yourself and are sharing your experience. I also love that you make little mistakes. It makes you relatable. Thank you for this video. I can't wait to see more.
You are a great teacher! I love how you explain not just how you are creating the painting, but why you are making your choices. It's really helpful to understand your thinking process.
I was so thrilled when I stumbled upon this video today! I had done exactly the same thing, seen this picture and looked for some information on it and how to paint it! You did an incredible job painting it! Yours is stunning!! You have an avid follower! Teach me!!❤️🌸Oh and, thank you!!
I just had to add that I love your style, quite apparent knowledge of your own art and your very genteel fashion/touch, which I envy, but do not possess. Thank you again!
I LOVE the decision to pull little wispy bits along the front edge- looks like tiny spikes, which a seahorse might have! Gorgeous! My parrot (in my pic) loves your voice & comes running when she hears you 😆
Really quite beautiful!!!. I am very impressed with your beautiful, accurate frontal shape and how the back wisps away… love your color palette, and your explanation was very well done. I think if I were to make this, I would put bubbles coming from it’s mouth only. Thank you very much for sharing your experience and talent with us. 🙏🏼💗💐
Absolutely beautiful! I’m not a paint pourer, but this has inspired me to have a go. Could you do a tropical fish pretty please? love watching your creative process.❤️🇦🇺

This popped up in my feed today; WOW, such a cool technique! I'm fairly new to the acrylic pour community and have definitely caught the bug! Cant wait to see, find , and learn more...SO overwhelming!😁
Thanks so much! Yeah it is definitely addicting. If you check out my playlist “31 Paintings For The New Year” I demonstrate 31 different techniques, most of which are able to be done by beginners. Good luck!
Thank you! Have you been pleased with your seahorses? If not, I would recommend trying to get your paint mixtures and swiping perfected before doing a complicated shape like this.
@@AnnaBlountArt everything was perfect until last part, when I add white on the front side it ruin my hors shape. Next time it will be perfect I’m sure
This was amazing!! So beautiful. I'm in West Virginia as well, but lived my whole life in Florida where people decorated their homes with pictures of marine life and different types of coral. I am new to this type of art and looking forward to trying it for myself. Thank you for sharing your artwork with the UA-cam community. I just subscribed to your channel due to how much I loved your Seahorse tutorial. Have a great day.
Thanks! There should have been a link that popped up while I described my paint colors, but I’ve added that link to the video description along with what colors I used. It’s a floetrol and water mixture. Let me know if you’re still confused!
This turned out just gorgeous! I love the ocean too! But I live in Vegas now, so I really miss it. I'm doing my large master bathroom ocean/underwater themed, so projects like this are perfect for me to add my own art. Plus these are my favourite colors-especially teal. I think instead of the polka dots, a heavy splatter coming off the back in all the colors would also look really cool 🌊
I've only used wet paper towel and old gift cards, only because i haven't had any luck with anything else. I love some of your techniques, especially how you didn't add silicone to your dark blue.
I should make a comment every time I come to visit this specific painting I simply love watching you make it, you are a great teacher. I'm still waiting on my products that I have ordered. I'll try and find you on Facebook once I do my first painting be it good or bad, I'm going to upload it on Facebook, to share it with the world. Thank you again!
Might I suggest using a pipette rather than inhaling the chemicals? I know the actual paint isn't going into ur lungs but the fumes are not designed to be inhaled in this way. It's only because I care ❤️
Most popular video almost at 500K views even though this video is 2 years old love how you use micro swipe technique to create this seahorse looks pretty cool where you made the background polka dot type using the leftovers colors you have will watch more of your old tutorials to see how much growth you made since the start of this channel
@@AnnaBlountArt oh bummer. Too bad. I'll keep watching your videos then. I would have loved to taken a class from you. Keep up the amazing art. I actually paint on ceramic tiles. Majolica style.
I really liked the bumpy, organic belly side after you pulled the tape away. Then I watched the rest and saw you added spikes. I 💕 seahorses and your finished painting and technique are both stunning!
Hello, great to find your channel. I’m from small town WV also and do pour painting on everything for cups to canvas to furniture. I simply LOVE your style and presentation.
You are a clever girl! So beautiful 😍. If I may, you can press down the masking tape then paint the line to seal it before you lay the paint down. Let it dry first of course. And I use those cheap pipettes to pick up excess paint. I'm not a fan of using silicone in my paint because it makes the table drips unusable. I prefer using a bloom swipe mixture so I'm gonna try that. You are amazing!!

AB Creative dabs a little paint over the tape as kind of a buffer. Never tried it personally though. 😅

Awesome tip thank you🙏
I use a 10ml syringe to sack up paint! Gives a lot of control. Glad we're all finding our own methods in adjusting our art . Just love this piece!

I think I've seen Olga use a pippett to remove paint.
OMG! Such a perfection! Anna, you need to do the whole series like this!

This is high praise from the acrylic queen herself! 💜
