Smash 3DS is the one and only game that I ever pre-ordered to date. That game was not only my game of the year in 2014, but my game for the rest of that system's life. I put so many hours into it, and heck, I still play it every now and then. It still impresses me with what they were able to do with the N3DS.
Before the switch this was our first time being able to take Smash Bros on the go! This was our back door and there are some stages that I wish was on the Wii U and also wish was in Ultimate Wii U and 3DS are one of the best because no character is too overpowered or underpoweredm Both 3DS and U are underrated
My Super Smash Bros for 3DS story: Super Smash Bros for 3DS was absolutely amazing and I remember playing the living crap out of that game whenever I go to my youth center and school field trips as well back in middle school. (Yes Surprisingly, there was allowed one time I actually took my 3DS and my amiibos with me on one of my middle school trips) But perhaps my number one favorite part of the game is the amiibo support, during the time I was unable to take my Wii U with me wherever I go and yes I do take my Wii with me but the problem is I can't carry the entire console all the time with me but I mainly did it so I can play with the amiibo feature everywhere but now that is on the 3DS during that time, It was a whole lot easier and I can finally leave my Wii U at my home as told to. Still to this day I still play on my 3DS along with Super Smash Bros for 3DS and take both my Mario and Luigi amiibo (Smash Bros edition) wherever I go along with my switch lite. I'm planning on getting a new 3DS Black Friday edition and I'm going to be doing it on boxing of it later in January or February Hopefully once I save my cash, I can also sponsor your UA-cam channel and give you a shout out if you're interested. Overall, I absolutely loved this video big time!
I've never played Smash Bros I'm nearly 32 years old I've had a GBC, DS, GameCube-compatible Wii, Switch.. and now, a 3DS XL I was always a Tekken guy, but maybe I'll give this one a shot tomorrow Mine's jailbroken, so I'll be getting all the characters for the price of free fifty
Smash for 3DS has a special place in my heart. I was a senior in high school when it came out, and I remember being so excited that Smash was finally on a portable console. It felt so unreal. I would always go around the school during lunchtime and make Miis of my friends and put them in the game.
Omg I literally did (and still kinda do haha) the same! I swear Smash 3DS, especially Smash Run was the best, the custom moves and equipment with the Miis felt like I was making my own characters with special abilities and attributes. It was the best!
I love Smash on 3DS too because I felt it was just a taste of what's yet to come when the Wii U comes out. Plus Classic Mode for it is really good. Smash Run though. Divine. I wished that Smash Run was expanded to make it feel like an actual story mode or something.
I bought my 3ds with my own money when I was 12 and I bought smash bros along with it and 4 weeks ago I decide to open it up again since i hadn't in a long time and I looked at my stats... I HAS OVER 400 HOURS PLAYED
Smash for 3DS broke my 2DS's circle pad, but the game has given me so much joy over the past 6 years that I can let it slide. Making Miis just to make them fight, the colorful aesthetics, reading trophies's descriptions, endless fun in battle... Sometimes I watch some of the old trailers for the game and pretend the game hasn't come out yet and get hyped and stuff bc the trailers go SO hard, and I love them. Anyway, yay. Smash for 3DS. One of my favorite games of all time
I remember this was one of the first games I ever played on a 3DS! Long before I owned one my cousins did, and one day I borrowed one of theirs so that I could play Smash against the other one! It was so cool playing it portably.
One thing i will say is that i always felt jealous about Smash for wii u because that was the one that everyone else played and generally seemed to have the cooler stages like gamer
I love this game. I can’t stand the Wii U version. I played this game everywhere back in the fall of 2014 and the winter and spring of 2015. I have great memories of this game. I played Smash Run so many times. It’s what made this game so great. I barely have any good memories with the Wii U version. That game is the most boring game in the series. It has this awful Smash Tour and a terrible classic mode.
Wow, I'm not sure if I somehow subscribed to you through CND, but it was nice seeing that clip of you two together in this video! I also went up to meet him sonce I've been a subscriber of his since soon after he started his channel! Took the bus up from Philly. 😅 Anyways, this was a great video! I didn't show Smash for 3DS enough love since the Wii U one came out. I don't think I played the single player modes very much, but they seem fun!
Honestly, the only Smash games I've enjoyed were 64, 3DS, and Ultimate. I hated the GameCube version despite enjoying certain stages and the character roster options, and completely skipped the Wii version because a lot of the vocal fans who liked the GC one said it was even better then the one I already didn't like. XD Wii U was decent, but something about the 3DS edition was just perfect for me.
I think Smash Ultimate is ultimately (ya see what I did there) the best smash bros game overall. Melee was the first game in the series I played and is my personal favorite. But I also grinded the heck out of the 3DS game for a good few years. Playing Smash on the go at the time was just so cool.
Modt people start off woth brawl or melee or the original or the wii u but my first time playing smash was brawl but i didn't even know what it was so o didnt count it. But smash 3ds was the first smash bros that i owned and its the game that made me fall in love with it so much that i forced my mom to buy me a wii u(in 2016) just to play the wii u version 😊
I remember asking for this for Christmas as a kid with no idea what Smash Bros actually was, I just thought it was some kind of game series compilation. I was surprised but not overly bothered to find out it was a fighting game, and I spent a lot of time with it. I was so disappointed to learn that they didn't have Smash Run in other versions of the game. I also loved the soundtrack feature in this game; as a kid with almost no Internet access, my music choices were limited to the handful of rock CDs my parents had given over to me and my siblings, but eventually I was gifted an AUX cord and could play songs from the Smash Bros soundtrack on my radio. That I spent a LOT of time with. The Smash 4 theme is still my favorite game theme of the series, I like it better than Ultimate. I had a lot of nostalgia for this version too, glad to see someone covering it.
I've always played Smash Bros. on my 2DS every single day, even with other people online or go solo for regular Smash, Smash Run and the Street pass. Yep, the 3DS version of Smash is my most favorite game on a 3DS comparing to Mario Kart 7 and Pokemon, Smash Bros has always a awesome place in my heart and I'm still keep playing it now. 😊🤗💕👍🏽🔥🔥🔥 Good content BTW
I'm so surprised somebody else loves the 3DS so much! This handheld was the reason I survived middle school and high school! And yes, my most played game was Smash 3DS. There are still days where I polish off my 3DS and play some Smash, not even for ol' times sake, but because it was *so* well made. To this day, I feel it was the superior version of Smash 4 opposed to Wii U. Smash Run was the reason why I put so much time into it, as well as the fact that Classic mode was better in this version. That, and it had a vibe that felt like a succession of Brawl, and as you mentioned, it's probably because of all the single player content. It also had a Melee vibe going on where each stage only had 2 songs, which was a really cool touch. Compared to Wii U, Smash 3DS felt like a complete package where it felt closer to the other Smash entries in terms of overall content and replay value. Funny enough, the only other instance I can think of where the handheld version is better than the home console is Sonic Colors. I love Super Smash Bros as a whole where I consider every entry as "the best" in their own right. But my favorites are 3DS for the reasons listed above, and Brawl for all its music, the SSE, and the modding community which keeps the game alive after so many years. I just wish Smash 3DS got the same love and dedication to modding. Imagine playing some kind of Project M mod for Smash 3DS. One can dream... Sorry, I know this comment went on for too long, but it feels so good to see somebody else who loves the 3DS, and Smash 3DS for that matter. You definitely earned a subscriber for how engaging your content is.
This game is officially GOATED. It's between this and Melee as to which one's my favorite (although I played this one first), but I've easily played this more than - not only any other Smash - but any other game ever made. The character customization is arguably the best of any game I've ever played. There's SO MANY custom characters I have and SO MANY themes for those characters. I could go on for a long time, but I have a fast Ganondorf, a tanky Captain Falcon, an air fighter Little Mac, about 15 unique Miis, a few characters based on OHKOs, a Wario that plays semi-similarly to Wario Land, a Lucario that's a paper-thin nuclear warhead, and a Pac Man and Villager that make obstacle courses for their opponents, just to name SOME of them. It's also the most play-able Smash Bros, IMO. All of the modes are short enough that you can knock them out in a limited time, but they're quality enough that you don't have any major downsides to deal with. It's all just solid and to-the-point. Except Smash Run's Ornes. Those things were my childhood trauma, and I still yelp as an adult every time I hear their music.
Played the hell out of the Wii U version back in the day, but I didn't bother with the 3DS version because I viewed it as inferior when I was a teen. I got it with all the DLC when they announced the eShop was shutting down, and got addicted to Smash Run.
I Remember playing This games, I had a 2ds(and still have) and I was bored because I was just playing mariokart 7, but my cousin gave me a copy to try smash for a while and I love, even if I have ultimate on the switch, I still play this game that was my first smash(if you dont count super flash 2 that I played on the 2gb ram computer and the school computers on A10) of my life.
I may own Brawl, Wii U and Ultimate alongside 3ds, and Ultimate may be my favorite game in the series. But 3ds was the First game in the series i bought and it gave me so many memories

Ngl, I’ve bought a 3DS and starting to regain my collection and forgot about this game. Gonna get it
If you can’t connect to internet then saving is now impossible on smash 3ds
@@ralph7015? It litterally saves to the system.
Don’t take your your games for granted. It’s a lesson I learned the hard way…
@@chrisjohnson9542 you probably have the update installed witch will soon be impossible as 3ds is going offline soon
I am doing the same
I remember playing Melee at the house of the girl I liked
She rejected me but it was still cool
Smash 3DS is the one and only game that I ever pre-ordered to date.

Another Laiyenz video? How rare?!
I'm a handheld gamer also. Super Smash Bros 3ds is my favorite Super Smash game out of the series!
Smash 3DS was amazing. playing it everyday on the bus to school and smash run was amazing
I would always prefer for 3DS over for Wii U.
It had the better stage selection, better classic mode, and Smash Run.
Before the switch this was our first time being able to take Smash Bros on the go! This was our back door and there are some stages that I wish was on the Wii U and also wish was in Ultimate
Wii U and 3DS are one of the best because no character is too overpowered or underpoweredm Both 3DS and U are underrated

Brawl and 3DS were always my favorite smash games. Subspace+Boss Rush and Smash Run make them the best

Thank you LaiyenZ this was so informative, I heart Smash 3DS
It’s insane how most people forgot this version existed!
I've never played Smash Bros
I'm nearly 32 years old
I've had a GBC, DS, GameCube-compatible Wii, Switch.. and now, a 3DS XL
I was always a Tekken guy, but maybe I'll give this one a shot tomorrow
Mine's jailbroken, so I'll be getting all the characters for the price of free fifty
I’ve been playing this for a long while now and I love it despite it being a bit slow at times.
I got all of the trophies though.
LETS GOOO MY FAVORITE SMASH BROS
If only it had a GameCube to 3ds controller adapter
This was the first Smash game I played.
i still play smash run weekly
The best smash bros game will always be MEELEE!!! The first smash for N64 is legendary! It’s where it all began. Ultimate comes in third!
I to am a fan of smash bros 3ds
1:08 bro lost his voice out of nowhere
I threw mine in the trash.
this is so gang
thank you my slime
And now its dead
The 3ds version is OK but it will not compare to ultimate
Ultimate is complete trash it was good at first but they ruined with dlc because they made them overpowered
Yeah I do agree that some characters were overpowered but the overall gameplay and modes you can do is what make it great

Smash Run is still one of the best modes! I sunk so much time back in the day and uploading on my B Day makes it much better!
I will never forget these 3Ds memories
I'm glad Smash For 3DS is getting the love it deserves, it has better single content than WII U version, and Smash run was peak
LaiyenZ you upload like once a month but the content is PERFECT!

Smash didn't invented the genre, it popularized it. There's another platform fighter that predates Smash Bros.

The developers didn't bring back Smash Run for Ultimate, WHY?
I will never forget these pee pee S memories
I’ll take Smash run over WoL 9 times out of ten due to it being closer to Adventure Mode and SSE from previous entries
Lowkey I love the black outlines and the whole artstyle so much more than ultimate
Fun Fact: there was was a homebrew smash game for the DS (2,actually)
My favorite smash Bros game is smash Bros Wii u I still have a Wii u and smash Bros Wii u
I was addicted for playing Smash 3DS online match after Smash Ultimate is released.
I remember playing the 3ds version even more than the Wii U version
He will talk about smash run I know that for a fact
In my top 5 3ds games, I spend so much time on playing it

I main Kirby and I beat some teen at smash at a convention
Around a minute into the Tomodachi Life OST for Smash Bros 3DS, the Tomodachi Collections theme will start to play.
Fun fact: My first (non-emulated) smash game was the 3ds version! I thought everyone hated it lol
Everytime I play Smash Bros on my 3DS, I get paranoid that I'm going to snap my circle pad off of my system
I hope Napoleon doesn’t come and see this or he’ll say “LETS SMASH!”
