They are releasing a new album called Human:Nature in 10 days, with a world tour to follow, but it is yet to be seen how the Corona virus will affect it, so far they have cancelled all their China dates. In 2020 there won't be that many dates, they are looking to 2021 for a majority of the dates.
They are 6 of the most talented musicians around and take their job seriously, they live to preform, When they do a tour it is a major production, with weeks and weeks of prep, that usually starts before the album they are touring for is even recorded. They have their major promoters around the world securing venues and dates, and then start announcing dates. They they go to "The Cabin" for a few months to rehearse and record the new album, then it is time for rehearsing for the tour. It is a major endevor, with musicians, road crew, and family. Their road crew has been with them, some since the beginning.

The band on fire ,the crowd screaming like crazy and overpowering all of that the voice of a godess . I know ,i was there , one of the 82000 lucky ones.
It’s so crazy to see this band that’s incredibly talented, been around for so many years and most of the US and world hasn’t really ever been exposed to their intense, emotional song with Floor as the most amazing voices I’ve ever heard. Why aren’t they more popular??

There is no resisting Nightwish. I just discovered them a few months ago. I’m a 48yr old American man who has cried more than once during Nightwish songs. They are so powerful.

@@PowerfulReactions song of my self is a very intesrting song, Tuomas wrote it as he overcame his deep depression in the dark passion play days (the poet an the pendulum deals with that phase)
its inspired by a poem from Walt Wittman with the same name
IF you wanna dive deep into it, and epireience the emotional level of it i would highly suggest you do the studio version of it, it contains "Diary" entrys of Tuomas spoken by friends and familiy members

I love Nightwish. I’ve been listening to this band my whole life and they are absolutely the best band out there. And Floor is just so versatile.. a QUEEN!! I love these reactions. I remember how i reacted the first time i listened to them and believe me, it only gets better from here. #floorgasm

If you want to see Marko sing some more, try The Islander - Live at Tampere. If you feel like you're ready for a monster of a song then go for The greatest show on earth - Live at Tampere. It's more than 20minutes long so.. just a heads up.

Relatively new Nightwish fan here (1yr.). Your reactions are exactly the same as mine were 1 year ago. Nightwish is now my favorite band. If you love music and appreciate musicians who put the work in to stay at the top of their game, this band excels to heights I've never seen before.

And besides Tarot he often appears with the band Delain. As for Floor you haven't even begun. Beste Zangers 2019 or when she sings with Simone Simons of Epica (Sancta Terra for example). Also there is an annual Heavy Christmas show. I especially liked when Floor and Marko sang Ave Maria... LOL anyway, that could keep you busy for a while.

This was also the song for me in my early NW journey when I realized just how incredible Marco is. On a song where Floor shines like the sun, Marco shows just how amazing his voice is as well. If you want the full power of Marco, check out "High Hopes."
Ever Dream has been my favorite Nightwish song since the Century Child album came out. I heard a couple of their songs before then but Ever Dream totally sucked me in and I became a lifetime fan. Even though they have a huge catalog of wonderful music, there's something special about this one that still resonates with me 20 years later.
I grow with them. I listen them since in 2003.

Ahahhahaha... for some reason it's extremely satisfying when people are blown away by Marco's voice. Especially when Floor is on stage.
I love it when people realize Marco is an incredible singer in his own right. :D Fun fact: he was already a Finnish metal legend by the time he joined Nightwish, in fact making it something of a supergroup (which it's even more now with Troy and Kai). And he joined mostly to play bass, not even to sing lead. The guy can do it all from tender and angelic to demonic screeching and everything in between.
They actually have a third singer now too, in Troy. He's not a vocal acrobat like the other two but he has a lovely, warm baritone that complements them very well.
So truly awesome 👍. Your reaction is true and from the soul ! Tears, laughing, chills, ALL are normal for Nightwish !!!! Heavenly

If "Ghost Love Score" is the song that leaves someone speechless then "Everdream" is the song that makes you cry! On the same path lies "She is my sin" (from Wacken again). Of course an idea would be to react to all the songs of the concert. It is a lengendary concert after which Nightwish decided for Floor that "She is the one" and announce her that she is officially Nightwish lead singer.
Before reacting to The poet and the pendulum | LIVE AT WEBMLEY ... do some research on the meaning behind the music and the lyrics. You will appreciate it more.
I love the bridge leading into the final chorus. It's like Marko is just baiting the audience like "Hey you thought THAT was cool? Then check out what's coming up next". It's perfect because it uses the audience to add more atmosphere and intensity to the buildup and then the final chorus is just godlike.
As for the rest of Wacken, I would recommend Song of Myself for something slower but still heavy. Ghost River is also great as several comments have mentioned :) But if you want something lighter then I would say I Want My Tears Back. And since you love Marko you definitely have some great stuff coming up. He's a legend.

I'm following nightwish since their first album and I saw them growing over every other band and becoming the absolute role model of symphonic metal. Ever since Floor joined, I have goosebumbs moments all the time, with every song she sings... and live... wow, that is an experience! You should check them out later this year live, you would be Floored! And that is a good thing! :)

Some older stuff you surely want to listen is High Hopes (Pink Floyd cover). More awesome Marko!! :) Other recommendations is to listen their first singer Tarja Phantom of the opera End of an era concert. After you have gotten familiar with the band's history the poet and the pendulum Floors version.

Yea, surprise! Marko is an amazing singer as well. He has a some songs as lead with Floor as backup (While Your Lips Are Still Red & The Islander) and by himself (High Hopes - Pink Floyd Tribute live End of an Era Concert). Now that you have discovered his amazing voice I am sure a number of people will be requesting his songs from the various concerts with Nightwish and his previous bands/solo tour as well. Let's also not forget, they now have Troy as a singer who also has a lovely voice and is now being utilized more. (My Walden he sings the intro and does backup vocals, and The Carpenter from Buenos Aires he does lead) They all harmonize amazingly together. Enjoy this ride!
Edit: I would be remiss if I didn't mention also, Troy sings lead in the new single Harvest just released with Marko and Floor doing harmony/backup. It's quite something.

Oh, April 10th they'll be releasing their newest album. They've released two singles from CD1 (Human) and a part of a 30+ minute long instrumental song (using orchestra and Floor's vocals) from the CD2 (Nature). "Noise", "Harvest" and "Ad Astra" in release order...

I relate a lot to the "flying into the sky" part, bc that's exactly what the energy Floor's vocals are sending to the audience is making you feel like. Can have the worst day ever - listening to Floor's incredible singing always saves the day.

Especially try 'The Voice of my Father' or 'Stones'! But the whole album is worth a listen, actually.

That climax at the end. They throw some of what they have at you. Jukka's speed, Floorgasm, Marko hitting high notes, Thoumas going nuts on the keyboards and Emppu adding some seasoning to everything with his chords.
Can't wait for the day that you react to "The Greastest Show on Earth", but that man is something that you need to wait to experience. It's like edging so far.
Hahaha, helplessly happy. I have found, that even if I don't care for one of their songs all that much, if I hear it later it can sort of grow into something amazing anyway that I end up loving.
But I guess that can be true for all types of music... Have a great day either way.

I was there that evening - it was pure magic! The first time ever being in Wacken - first time seeing them with Floor - being with my hubby - what more to wish for?

Yes, they are going to be touring again for the new album. I saw them live for the first time in Albany, NY in March 2018, after discovering their music in 1997 when I found a free song they put on MP3 dot com. The are still, by far, the best band I've ever heard. Of any genre. You can bet that I'll see them again on the new tour, even if I have to travel 1000 miles.
Come over to Europe, seriously. We should try and get a few people together for a show., 😉
This was Floor's first appearance with nightwish. She a couple days train practice the songs so even Nightwish fans at the concert were in for a surprise.
When the Floorgasm meter goes up for... Marco Hietala (Pyre of the Black Heart, anyone?)... I can only more appreciate the group itself, and the friend who introduced me to them 15 years ago. Seeing other people react to what I've lived with. I now understand what UA-cam is.

If you want some"NIghtwish merchandise", go to the Nuclear Blast website or the official Nightwish site and buy the live DVDs... The audio and video quality are much better than crappy UA-cam videos. Totally worth it. This band deserves to be seen/listen in good quality.

I have been a Nightwish fan forever and am always trying to convince everyone and anyone I know to listen to them. I love seeing someone getting as excited as I always am! These guys create experiences, magic, not just music! The latest album - OMG! Everytime I think it can't get better, they are like "hold my beer"...
