My son experienced identical google account hacking today, two minutes in and out, all credentials and recovery details changed, despite of 2-step verification. I found this video when I was looking for help. Google assistance pages and recover forms are useless, or at least not designed for this type of incidents. As he does not have similar popularity for leverage as you Joe, I think there is very little chance to get similar support. I am happy for you getting your account back though.

This happened to yesterday today. They stole all my data. And it went so fast. I'm not even bad with computers. I'm sure that my data being sold on the dark web right now. It feels horrible. And it was a struggle full of sleepless nights to recover my account

Hi Joe Ritter I watched this video for the first time on this channel. I'm also terrified after what happened with you and your account. But I want to tell you about what I faced in this week. I purchased a new phone of OnePlus to play one of my favourite game Asphalt 9 but this game got hacked even after 2 step verification On... I don't know what to do... So I changed my account but the same thing happened again... Don't know if it is the game problem or the google. I talked with the game developer they said that protect your account. But the 2 step verification is already (On) in my phone gmail.

The loophole in the system is always the final user. The hacker stole one of your sessions through one of your devices (thats why they could acces to your account without even knowing your password, 2fa, etc.). They do this through a virus, and the virus came from a downloaded file that you opened.
This just happened to me 3 hours ago while I was getting a haircut, they started posting Roblox and Fortnite hacks on my other channels that have subscribers on them.
What did you do this just happened to me ?
@@ParadigmFailure Run your antivirus and malwarebytes, scan for any weird programs - delete those programs. (Or just system restore to before you installed a sketchy app. Then go to your saved passwords from your browser and change every password you see on there. They have access to all of them.
@@ParadigmFailure change all your pass and any saved from your browsers too. That's the only way to stop them from coming back in the future.

My friend changed his password , forgot it, and lost his phone number. Now he is locked out, and the account recovery insists on either sending a code to a number he doesn't have access to, or sending a code to the very same account he can't access.
I can't find any way to email someone at Google or get them on the phone

I have sent submitted the form and in contact with UA-cam team but i am still feeling so helpless. This is a nightmare. I have 70k subscribers on the channel that got hacked. It's my living. I just had a similar situation, I got an notice that my email and phone were changed, I was able to change my password and then change my recovery info back to the real ones. I also turned on two-step, which was on when this happened. contacted google via a chat window, they were useless and said two-step should keep them out. Yea now I'm really worried GMAIL is not secure as well as all my other google products! checking all my accounts now. ugh wtf
upon reviewing my logs in google I see that the changes were made via my dell laptop which I rarely use, I think there's spyware on there that got them into my google account. No one has access to this laptop. I won't be using google accounts on there until I reload windows.
a simple fix would be to have separate emails for youtube, Gmail, photos account, etc, two-step should be mandatory. Google does not care about us users.
Double notification is not enough. Be sure to get a security key hardware dongle (Yubikey). Many claim that only then no one can break into a gmail account. When you activate it, you will have the option of eight-digit codes that you need to store somewhere. Then only those options unlock the channel. Good luck.

Brother, Same, Exactly I also went for a walk and came back. On 8th May, Google 2fa broke. it doesn't work. it uploaded all crypto on my channels, i got banned. I am broke inside. don't know what to do. I went to unsuspend email. they say you cant. I am broke. no one helps me. now my friends' 2 accounts are gone. my relatives ' accounts are gone. SOMETHING IS REALLY REALLY WRONG WITH GOOGLE AND MICROSOFT GOING ON. SOMEONE MUST HAVE GOT A WAY TO BYPASS OR A VERY STRONG HACK. MOST PEOPLE I KNOW HAVE LOST THEIR ACC. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Edit: I am also seeing bots in the comment sections and other videos from 10 or 5 days before, stating bla bla is best in getting your account back. they want to have us and scam us from both sides, which means this is not only me, which indicates the severity of this matter. i need your help guys!

Right now UA-cam wants me to answer some security questions upon logging into hackers email which I don’t see security questions n my verification # has been changed . They clamped down on this issue and fixed the 2 step verification problem
My account was hacked on April and they responded in a 4 hours and my account was recovered within 12 hrs. And yes it was all red exclamation points

It was done by someone with access to your wifi. When you connected your phone to the wifi someone was in your network and able to access all your devices having access to your passwords so more than likely is someone you know
