Just recently got a cart to upgrade pretty much everything. I've started watching your videos and appreciate all the great explanations!

Good timing. Yesterday I installed a light kit on my Precedent and was thinking about adding reverse lights. Thanks.

Can this work? Installed two rear LED lights. Ran both ground wire to the frame. Split the power wire into two wires. Ran one to the red power wires to an Auxbeam 6 gang controller and the other to the F/R switch. When I put the cart in reverse, it works as planned. Lights come one and the buzzer rings.
When I hit the switch on the Auxbeam controller, the lights come AND the reverse buzzer sounds (which I do not want). I am thinking about adding a diode on the power wire to the F/R switch to prevent the electricity flow back the buzzer. Will solve the problem?

Hi Ryan. My name is Jamie. This is another great video. I have watched quite a few of your videos concerning golf carts. I have come to trust your views and so, I have a question. I have a stock 2014 club car precedent. I think I am ready to make the switch to lithium batteries. I am retired and not rich so am looking for the best value in a quality battery. What is your suggestion for a 48v system for our cart. Thanks for any help you can provide. Oh BTW we are in central florida on the east coast, so that you have an idea of our temperature ranges.

I wanted to see if you can tell me why my golf cart ezgo txt moves sometimes and when going up a steep grade/ driveway its stops . Wont go . I change battery cable and reverse switch, which is hard to move to reverse and forward. Any help is greatly appreciated.. and was wondering exactly where are you in Texas

I like your thorough, clear instructions.
    My question is simple...
I have a 2010 Yamaha G29 (48vdc). Can I just unplug the reverse alarm/horn and use it's wires for a white LED reverse light?

Sounds like that should work just fine. Instead of the alarm coming on, you will have the reverse lights come on.

Good stuff man. I’m an electrical contractor who does not like any vehicle wiring. Great explanations and I’ve used your method with the relays for a bunch of stuff on my cart. Thanks a lot

What happens if the switch is on and the f/r switch is in the R position?

      Then it goes in reverse

Hi there - if you wired just the reverse lights and flipped the FNR switch to R, would that basically do the same thing as having the additional switch? Seems like it would and would simplify the process (although perhaps the battery might run down more quickly and there’s the possibility of the cart moving if you accidentally hit the gas pedal). Thanks!

@@claywiddifield4181 It would be in reverse and if you have a buzzer it would be sounding as well. Installing a switch will only turn the lights on. Maybe your rear passengers may want to see in front of them when you are driving forward for example.
