    Outstanding video!!
    Thank you Jermaine. I'm an older guy. Been playing MABL since 1998. Won 5 Championships with my Titans, and two with my current team. I seem to thrive on the bigger games. Having written that, less than satisfied the rest of the season. Not that I haven't put time in the batting cage and T work + soft toss.
    But your video here hit home to me for the first time "the path to the ball is shorter. You don't want to go around to get to the ball." That blew up in me and I have been energized since. About 3 weeks. Owning what is on this video is another thing; it takes work. Been in the cage and little prices are starting to stick. I'll end with saying; I just missed hitting one out today, in a pick up game off one of our pitchers throwing hard. Lead off, first pitch fast ball inside - pulled to left field 317 ft. Stand updouble. All the guys on the field were like; wow Ed, nice hit.
    It was nice, but what's nicer, there is more to come.
    Thank you Jermaine, thank you.

    Great video. I watched to the end. My son is exactly the type of hitter you described. We are now trying our best to make sure he does not rollover, hit the ball hard and stay in the zone.

    Would you be able to do a video on Joey Votto. With him going on a tear right now, I would love to get your thoughts on what your seeing from him. Also would you have any advice on how to keep your front head from popping up during the swing. From looking at video, I see my front leg blocking up to early which is not allowing my backside to come through fully and is causing my head to pop up and come off the ball.

    I was going to say that I usually see myself rolling over when I cut myself off (diving in). This is some good stuff man, wish I woulda had some knowledge like this when I was playing college ball.

      Cameron, that also could be the reason you're rolling over. You could be diving. Anyways, thanks for watching and I appreciate you.

    I noticed the position of the 2 tee drills. The inside tee seemed to be on the same part of the plate as the outside tee. Shouldnt the inside tee be more positioned on the inside of the plate and the outside tee be on the outer half of the plate. PLease inform me. I really liked this all the way to the end. Thanks

      Yeah, the 2 tee drill that you are talking about shoukd be how you described it. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but the 2 tee drill I'm talking about is a bit different and it works on the extension. You put the 1st tee on the middle of the plate and at a height where you can hit a line drive right up the middle. Then you put the 2nd tee right in front of it. You are going to stop hitting the ball off the 1st tee and now hit the ball on the 2nd tee. This should allow you to hit the baseball as you are on the upwards of your swing. Thus, creating extension and direction towards the pitcher. Does this makes sense? Thanks for watching Ray! I appreciate you.

      @@JermaineCurtis55 so are you extending on the 1st tee then or is it to get on the high ball?

      @@JermaineCurtis55 I guess in a nutshell, the different purposes of each tee. I realize the 2nd one is to get extenstion, is the 1st one to get on a high pitch

    There are only two swings pushy swings which are out in front of you or uppercut punch which is thrown from the body that's the fastest punch to the body or the chin.If you see MLB PLAYERS their top hand is a upper cut punch just like the Barry Bonds catch drill upper cut punch.Just like hitting to opposite field most Home runs are not hit opposite field if your not practicing hitting Homeruns then how can you hit them if you never practice lol

      Nice.. good points

    • @danielpamaral2837
      @danielpamaral2837 2 місяці тому +1

      Now the question is are they using the knob of the bat to whip the bat around and deliver the blow or are they using that top hand upper cut to deliver that blow.
      I believe Barry Bonds used the knob of the bat to whip the bat around.Because the bat most likely whipped his body around with that swing.

    • @danielpamaral2837
      @danielpamaral2837 2 місяці тому

      Most likely MLB PLAYERS use the arm bar to help whip the bat around that's why it happens so fast.If you go slow motion home runs you'll see the arm bar no matter where the pitch is most likely there's always that arm bar.

    • @danielpamaral2837

      Then it's like a push pull while your knob goes back to the catcher you keep your feet together then step out to the pitcher with the foot that's closest to the pitcher to create that stretch to swing.

      Hmm... good question. Since you will be by yourself, my advice would be to spread out your lower half wider so it doesn't take you much time to get to launch position.
