OMG!!!! I got this for Christmas when I was a child. This camper was my most favorite toy. 🎀 My cousin and I played for hours on end with this camper. I remember even putting it together ON MY OWN❤️

Thank you for taking me back to my childhood. I had this exact camper. I loved the patio rooftop. I wonder what ever happened to mine. I had the best friend because she lived Barbie’s as much as I did.
I remember finding one of these in the neighbors trash whenI was walking to school when I was 8.
I took it out of the trash and hid it in the ivy that was in our front yards in that neighbor at the time.
All day at school all I could think about was whether or not it was still there.
When I was walking home I found that it was indeed still there.
It was missing the front wheels and since I couldn’t fix it I removed the back wheels.
I poorly spray painted it silver and blue and didn’t wait for the paint to totally dry so it had little finger prints all over it but I had the greatest time making that a spaceship.
G.I. Joes were happy....

My dad had the G.I Joe JEEP from the 70’s or 60’s, in the box and everything, he was kinda pissed that I wasn’t into it, then he was definitely pissed when I painted the wheels blue sky & added girly stickers to the new Barbies I got free from my cousin, they never wanted to get me a Barbie at all, I only got a ken at 7 years old when I begged for a Barbie, at my birthday in Walmart, but when I was 11 I finally got Barbies from my little cousin growing up, she was the first one to realize the hell I had been through lol, cause she had been through some traumatic experiences as well, so she was caring, she was 8 and was so kind to share them with me secretly, I was almost 12 but I still got to play a little til I became a teen, maybe one more year, but she became like a little sister, we adopted each other, we even got a guinea pig together, we still blame ourselves for how he died and we let it happen cause we were too young to take care of him and to know any better, people separated me from this cousin too, she became an orphan too young and our relationship was very envied by everyone cause we cared for each other way too hard, and we ended up going our own ways..... she left all the extended family she got left to discover the world ...... but i will never forget how she was so mature for her age, and helped me in so many ways, like i helped her too

Then our mother up and gave it away when we moved. I was really upset because I absolutely loved it. I think I still own some if the pieces. Memories.
I had one too, my cousin broke it, I loved my one too.

I just found one of these at the Goodwill. It was $2.00. I had a lot of old Barbie things as a kid but not this one. I was playing with barbies in the early 80's. Thank you so much for this video so I could see where all the pieces go.

I had one it was one of my favourite Barbie toys that and the swing park for a set that was called the Heart Family I had all them too.
OMG! I had that one....and a yellow Barbie sports car. Great job with the restoration. It looks brand new.
I have the yellow Dune Buggy and tow bar, but the decals are all terrible quality and I don;t know hoe to get them off without damaging the plastic.. :(

Did you have me Dallas & Midnight Barbies horses? Or Beauty the Afghan hound? I loved playing Barbies til I was 15, then I got Wedding Barbies & white Ferrari for Christmas when I was 20 in 1990.
In 1996- 26yrs old, I started my collection... but sadly last year I had to downsize and more so I sold over 200 dolls for not even half of what I paid for them. But it's ok, I can always collect again. The hardest was my 1988 Holiday Barbie. I paid $500 in 2007 for her...and she sold for$50? I think??
thank you for the childhood memories!! i had this barbie van!! the dolls were always going on a camping trip and of course there was always a killer in the woods and men had to save the girls lol my mom had a lot of plants so we would use them as the trees in the woods lol

I had this to! I brought mine to best friends house and she had this also! She also had a Donnie Osmond doll! Finally there was another man around besides Ken! Lol!! Two of these vans and two men made for wonderful drama adventure! Great memories!

This was one of my prized possessions. I was the only kid on the block who had this. I remember I went on and on about it until my Dad bought it for me at Christmas .. it was $65 a lot of money back then!
I remember ALL these details. My shower door and mirror had reflective silver plastic, more like a mirror. The shower, bunk beds, and deck were the best! I love this video. 🖤

I got mine for Christmas. I actually peeked and saw my mom put it under the tree. The bunk beds also convert to a couch. I spent hours playing with it. When I was done it became a toybox for all my barbie stuff. I just stuffed it with barbie clothes, barbies, the barbie moped and I even had the little pink Corvette convertible
Hi... I can't believe you've restored it back to the original. I got this for my 8th Birthday in 1978. I loved & played with it for many years.
Growing up I wanted daughters so I could play Barbies with them,
Sadly, I only had 2 boys. I waited 24yrs..then my youngest son, gave me Elizabeth Anne..then 2 yrs later, came Gracelynn Rose...
And I feel so blessed for being their NaMa❤

put blue tooth speakers w/ the light up water lights off Groupon. Also LED lights...Rhinestones border sticker instead of pin stripping...
I'm creating a new logo with both my granddaughters pictures & names for the side.
I can't wait to see their faces when I have it all done. I will post pictures.

these giant motorhomes were so much fun. I always got them second hand and missing parts but it didn't matter. They had a few different styles/layouts.... one of the best toys. but I'd rather not keep one at my house now. they are gigantic
I had this. I took my barbies on many trips to the creek. I never had a ken but one time dad took me to the dump with him and i found a GI joe dude who went everywhere in the camper with Barbie after that! Lmao

Oh my!! What a wonderful video! I had this as a kid and me and my sister played with it everyday! I finally procured one on ebay that I could afford! It was only missing the small bathroom and kitchen accessories, the deck chair, the bathroom faucet and the shower door. I also do not have the box or instructions but hope to get those somehow. I remember as a kid the tiny little yellow pegs that held the the furniture and such broke off easily, as did the hinges to the shower door. My Star Traveler is on it's way to me and I can not wait to get my hands on it! Thank you for this video. I know now what all I still need. Thank you again! It's nice to see Barbie lovers all around the globe I'm from North Carolina USA!

Wow... just came across this video bc I'm in the process of purchasing one of these (searching eBay). You did a fantastic job! I love that you stuck with refurbishing it to its original state, but also like some of the comments on customizing it. Thanks for the WD40 tip; I'll probably need it! Awesome. Let me know how you go! Test the WD40 on a small inconspicuous area first. And make sure you wash it off thoroughly with hot soapy water. :)
I had the 1980's version that didn't have the ladder or sunroof. It was yellow and I used it for a Barbie house, since I didn't have the A-Frame house. I played with it all the time and since I never had children, my niece played with it. There was a pink/aqua version that was released with Barbie and the Rockers in 1986/87.
There are a few different versions of the Star Traveler. I have links in the description.
Awesome Restoration. I remember wanting this as a little girl.. Kinda funny to see it now, and as it's a camper.. it has no where for the dolls to sleep! LOL.

Me and my sister had this as kids. I remember it often had my motu and PoP figures in it too. We had whichever one was out in the early 80s.
love it just found one in a good will bin here in America . it only has the two sink things but all stickers are on it and placed well tires in godo shape just needed cleaning and a few stickers going to work on getting the couch and the front door and shower door super fun though

I got mine from a friend from her childhood, removed the stickers , cleaned it and spray chromed the sinks ,ladder, And Tire Rims, Put Green Carpet down On The floor End To end . Would Love To Get Some Replacement Stickers For The Inside, Not so Much For the Outside. You Did A Great Restoration Job.

I used to play with a relative's one when I was young. Then I ended up rescuing it from the bin years later but I ended up throwing it out as the decals were ruined due to me trying to wash them as well as some of the inside bits were falling off or broken. I should've perservered & kept it as it's very rare these days as well as it's expensive to get in general now!

There making the campers smaller today. And all there including is accessories. You should totally get a new camper just for the accessories. Cool accessories though. My Barbie 3 in 1 camper has tons of accessories.

I would also be very willing to spend a small fortune on new decals for my MotorHome. Can you tell me where you got them? I've gotten all the pieces that were missing and created a complete set, but I'm working to figure out how to attach the bunk beds because the pegs are broken.

Why doesn’t Mattel reproduce these? Or any of the the vintage pieces. Everything back then is so much better than today. I was a little girl in the late 1990’s and even then all the stuff was just ok. Nothing like the 70’s….

The best thing about being an adult is that now I can buy those toys I wanted as a kid. Haha. I found this pretty cheap on a local CraigsList type page and cleaned it up. I don't collect much Barbie stuff. Just some of the 70's and 80's stuff before it all went pink. :)

Hello, very good job. I´m trying to print in my domestic printer but I don´t get the correct size. I´m working with Photoshop. The size is 36"x12". Can you tell me the resolution? Is it 72 Dpi? Thank you very much
The images should already be the correct size. each sheet should be printed 12" x 36".
Hello, I went to the shop and when we prepare the image to print in the size you told me, we realized that the size is not the same as the old stickers. and if I try to resize for example the Barbie logo then other stickers like Eleganza II dont't take the correct size. Do you know what could be the problem? Thank you

They need to be printed ar 36"x12". They are large sheets. I had mine professionally printed.
Then you need to cut them out. It's a bit of work, but well worth the effort!
