Wow - what a great mix. Truly one of my favorite group of musicians, and that pedal steel player killed it. As usual Mark Lettieri took a classic tune and shot it into outer space, but Wes and JT - IMO - are the pocket kings. Period.
Omg that IS Milo!! Holy moly he and his daughter are so damn talented. I clicked on this not knowing he had anything to do with this cover and getting caught off guard. As soon as I saw the violin I rushed to the credits and WHOA! now I have even more respect for the guy. Bravo mark and friends!
Wow! That was amazing production on a classic tune. Wes and JT are THE definition of locked and tight, as usual, but the rest of the players just hit it out. By the way, you can really make that Grosh sing. Don has some of the best fretwork on the planet, and is an amazing builder. I almost bought one of his basses.
The slide guitar harmonizing with Mark's playing is just .... wow. His tone, the production quality is outstanding. His guitar playing is just absurd with how many styles he switches in and out of. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Excellent complimentive playing between the guitar and steel slide but well done overall This version takes this song to another level...Well done guys
So cool to see the recording process...after listening 100+ times to the album, never realizing there was video of the whole thing...really gives a whole different aspect/layer for me to appreciate. Is there a DVD available?
From the man himself!!! (thanks again Mark!): "If memory serves me correctly, that lead tone was the J. Rockett Audio Guthrie Trapp drive (the first version) with a J. Rockett Blue Note drive stacked in front. The amps were a Naylor Duel 60 head/cab and a Pure 64 Mean Street GEN3 head/cab, run simultaneously and then blended (?) in the mix. Or it may have just been the Pure 64...I can't remember!"
The 6 people who disliked this need to review their life choices....
What ecstasy! Tears of joy watching this one.
They're gone
@@dumitrasmihaicosmin7023 yeah clearly
😂😂
Or…Justin Bieber fan boys.
The bassplayer makes me question my existence for some reason. I love that guys vibe!
Personally, I think this is by far the best version. that slide and guitar alternately speaking each other is awesome. Totally unique version.
Totally unique version, wonderful, killer version. But the best one will forever be the first one by TFF.
I quite liked lordes version
You bet! I love this!
Cruising Route 66 as the sun is setting in Az,what a memory

MY BOY WES ON THE BASS
Wow, goose bumps by this steel guitar 🙌
This is a masterpiece.
First time I saw Wes Stephenson smile. Bass face is perfect, but this makes an incredible bass player even more sympathic ;-)
And great fiddle and steel guitar work by my buddy Milo Deering!
The steel! What a great choice

Bravo mark and friends!
Damn, what a grooving bassist!
Our man Wes just be laying down that simple bass line, not going any where until the end. So good.
Mark Littieri play soooooo good 😯
NICE!!!

Well said.
Marks tone just💥

Criminally under viewed.
The best version of this song, ever
I'm usually not into slide guitar that much, but I think I'm changing my mind!
Knocked it outta the park!

Consumate musicianship from everyone, but also hats off to what is still a great song. Nicely and tastefully done!

Classic...One of my favorites!
Awesome music! So chill to listen
I keep coming back to this recording over and over, so well done!
gets better and better with every round. the trade-offs at the end just shine. what a band!
Amongst all the coolness of this tune and arrangement all I want to do is to be the bass player and hang on that D
SO fucking fun! There's a charm in just laying that note and rythm all throughout the song, if that's not playing bass I don't know what is!
What a great cover of a great song! Thank you guys!
Ah man this is so good!!! I rather listen to this one than the original 😬
That was pure bliss! Shifted my day👍🏻

David Feily Music that tone is sweet
Talent ?
Tasty playing all around. Slick. Is that Milo?
Yup!
Can I use this on my cover? I love your instrumental!
@Mark Lettieri - what's your lead tone in this? (amp, pedals, etc.)
From the man himself!!! (thanks again Mark!): "If memory serves me correctly, that lead tone was the J. Rockett Audio Guthrie Trapp drive (the first version) with a J.
