First video of yours that I think you showed your face. I admire the confidence to put your face out there and I feel like it shows further commitment to your channel. Looking good!
Found this channel by googling how to make NIN music, cause there isn't many out there. Great breakdowns! If you have time to come back making tutorials - it would be great. Amazing channel. Also you have my support for being open and showing the face. I like the make-up!
You have by far the best videos and synth patch breakdowns I've ever seen! I like how you describe each step simply and elegantly while doing so with stock Ableton plug-ins so everyone can re-create them. I hope you continuing doing these videos because you're really talented and have a great ear!
I love your recreation. Alex Ball briefly plays this riff using a JD-800 preset "wailing guitar". You can hear it at the 3:00 minute mark of his video titled "Making a 90s Club Smash with the JD-800 Expansion!".
Great video on such an iconic sound! I still remember the crowd singing along to it when I went to their concert in 2018. Also, awesome seeing you in the video, hope you plan to keep it that way in your future videos :)
Great work as always, excited to see more in depth videos like this going forward! Cool to see how you explain your process for figuring out what gear is being used and all that.
Excellent work - I've spent a couple of days messing around with Repro - Massive - Sylenth - Serum and Ive gotten pretty close - but of course all I needed was Wavetable and your excellent video - Thanks - look forward to more
Really awesome job, sounds great and I'm really impressed with how well you use just the stock ableton effects and instruments. I think if you did some more Nine Inch Nails and industrial/industrial metal that would be really cool since a lot of those bands use ridiculous and really interesting sounds. Nice job and I look forward to whatever the next one is!
My fav track ever, the one which made me the Prodigy fan, that I'm today B) With the og sound, I think, that he basically used the beloved SH-101 and packed it with some effects, etc, as he used it all over the MFTJG
A year after selling the JD800 he got the JD990 and loved that. It's funny too, because the 990 is the rackmount version of the 800 with a few added things. It is that instrument 100% guaranteed. Your end result is in the ball park but it's missing all the character that makes the original so great.
Really educational videos about tone sculpting even if the viewer isn't looking to imitate the sounds. I'd love to see one on the main synth hook of A.M. 180 by grandaddy.
I’m surprised it was just a square wave with some distortion that lead is crazy. Side tangent, I noticed that if i let my tr303 make my leads they sounds more techno than if I just used my ableton push or piano roll. I feel like hardware generated midi notes just have a identifiable electronic feel.
Cthulhu and random piano generator also just don’t quite cut it. All synthesizers have their advantages though. The tr303 is annoying to set up but sometimes it makes cool stuff.
this was really informative , im gonna need to try some of these fx out . could you possibly do the vocal type synth from their song worlds on fire next ¿

Thanks it was a tough decision but I think it helps with making a good connection. Also I want to get comfortable representing as myself! 😊🏳️🌈♀️

Patch #5 on the Roland JD08 as well.

Excellent video, well done! Going to work on a remake of this very soon and base some of the synth design off your video, but try using serum
Your channel is a gem. 🤩
Please come back 🥺
Youre ear is amazing. Great job as always
Also I'm just now noticing how pretty those pads are that fade in and out during the tutorials.
Love your videos!
Idk if you only do synths but I'd love to know how Massive Attack did the wah-wah bass in Risingson
Amazing!!
Very good video, subbed. 👍🏻

Great content.
It seems that there is still a little wah-pedal effect before the overdrive.
Wow this is amazing. Easily the coolest channel I’ve seen in a while man👍🏻 would you consider doing a break down of 14 Ghosts ii??
I second that, as that's my favorite song from Ghosts. I love your videos btw, I hope there is more on the way!

This is the greatest synth riff of all time: Change my mind
Very interesting, cheers
Cool! This sounds very close to the original
