Happy Monday everyone! It feels very surreal to finally be driving the next chapter for Infiniti as a brand. The new QX80 is such an important vehicle for them and this redesigned model finally has the power, tech, space, and style to give it an edge over some of its rivals. All we'd like to see next is a Hybrid and Sport oriented model.
put this engine and trans combo in a refreshed Q50 with a similar interior and also an SUV variant of the Q50 and Infiniti is back in business. they can make a comeback but they have a lot of work to do. This QX80 is a good step forward
Wrong. If everyone thought like them then everyone would pay $60k because they would have to drop the price! 🙃 stop being a sheep. Just because they claim its worth that doesnt mean we have to agree. It can stay on the lot! @mobilesolutions4u444
This now is a true flagship luxury vehicle for Infiniti and I hope some of this technology trickles down to the rest of their models. The big three and Lexus better watch out, this will shake up the market. The only downside for me is that it got slower, but yet has more HP & TQ and weights less 🧐
I don't think it weighs less at the Autograph trim. I think when they say it weighs less they mean the base curb weight. I find it hard to believe a Pano roof, Twin Turbo Engine, Massage Front and Rear, so many electrical and tech and it's still lighter.
With GM having some issues with big V8s, I'd go for this in a heart beat. Think the interior looks better than the new Escalade as well. Great Review and glad to see Nissan/Infiniti bring the interiors up to where it should be!!!
The Escalade was _new_ back in 2021. It’s actually 4+ years old now, and has been unchanged since its release in 2020. Cadillac’s styling allows their product to age this well and remain fresh compared to brand new competitors for several years. The reality is the 2024 Escalade may look the newest & still fresh but everything from MB GLS, BMW X7, Lexus LX, Jeep GW, Navigator and now even this QX80 has either been refreshed or received a full redesign since the Escalade has been on sale, which makes the Cadillac Escalade the oldest in the segment yet - it _still_ outsells its updated competition 2 to 1. That’s not easy, and you won’t find that anywhere else in the automotive industry. Very impressive. Also *gm’s* V8 issue is old news and has been addressed.
More horsepower and torque with reduced weight, but slower 0-60 numbers are a head-scratcher. Does any Japanese car manufacturer have soft close doors? 🤔
I love it. Infinity Nissan & Mitsubishi all have big plans for 2026. If your local dealers still has the old QX80 & Armada now is the time perfect time go get a good deal. I’ve seen as much as $20k off the sticker price

A Red Sport version of this SUV would go so hard. I could definitely this vehicle being tuned up to 550+ hp with some cool rear quad exhaust. Let’s see what the future holds for Infiniti
There's something off-putting about split headlights where the DRL's are in the normal location but the headlights are too low towards the bumper. Like a 4-eyed monster.
Actually it's smart design so the headlights won't blind people in lower vehicles. Plus if the design is done well, the DRLs look like the headlights while the headlights are hidden anyways.
I personally like it, only because I like to run my DRL’s much longer into the evening than the auto headlights like to allow. The DRL’s look like headlights so it’s not a safety issue and I’ve never been pulled over for it.
It’s only because the Frontier is actually the oldest in terms of generations. Everything else was redesigned in 2023 and 24. When the frontier gets refreshed or redesigned it will have a turbo 4.
Just shows you how manufacturers nowadays aren’t a monolith and how they all _aren’t_ doing the same things, despite how many reviewers try to convince us otherwise and that they’re all one and the same.

You’re reviews are always top notch. You’re so informative and provide excellent insight on all viewpoints and perspectives. Thanks for sharing. By the way, I just traded in my 2023 Range Rover autobiography for a 2025 BMW X7M 60 I and my husband and I are thrilled with the BMW. I would’ve opted for the six cylinder with the mild hybrid, but the M60 at the dealership had several great choices and the one I chose is a special order gray with a ivory and black leather interior with the executive package. It’s fully loaded, but the 23 inch rims are concerning to me as far as the ride quality. My husband says he doesn’t really notice because the car is so smooth but wondering your thoughts on this? Should I trade them in at the dealership and go for 22s? Anyway, thank you in advance and I enjoy each video.
The 9spd could be slowing the 0-60 down. Its odd but when the titan went from the 7spd from the 9spd the 0-60 got 1 sexond slower for some reason. Hmm...
I am rooting for Infiniti on this one. The gas mileage will be a factor for a lot of people, but I think they knocked it out of the park. Some will say that people at this price point don’t care about fuel economy but I disagree.
When doing zero to 60, you are supposed to have one person in the vehicle. That's how car companies test 0 to 60 and that's the standard way. The last time you tested the QX80's zero to 60, you were alone in the vehicle. Common sense will tell you that if you have two grown adult males, your zero to 60 will be slower than having one person/the driver only in the vehicle. Also, your passenger Jared is not a small guy, he seems to be around 200 lbs or more. I wish auto-reviewers take the time to think and be analytical, instead of depending on only the information presented to them. But when information is not presented to them, some of them just can't figure simple things like having one person or two people in a vehicle when testing 0 to 60.

So the first car i noticed that had the split jekyl and hydr front fascia was the mitsubishi outlander. However, it seems more and more car manufacturers are following the trend.
