I mean this in the best way possible, I hope they sell so many that cars and parts become dirt cheap. This new generation is so well designed it’s iconic
The one thing you have to keep in mind is....the dealership experience. I've owned an Infiniti QX60, Chrysler 300C, BMW M3, Honda Odyssey, and a Jeep Cherokee. By far, the Chrysler/Jeep dealership experience is the worst. If you are paying $100k for a car/SUV, you expect the dealership experience to matched the price, not with Chrysler/Jeep. From the moment you drive up to the service bay to the moment you leave, it makes you wonder if you should have bought something else. I've experienced this at multiple Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealerships. Brought my Cherokee in for a navigation screen not working, all 4 door handles coming off, sunroof won't closed, and passenger window won't open, all under warranty. 2 weeks later picking up the vehicle, I go to closed the window, won't closed, the navigation screen still frozen, passenger window won't opened, but they did replaced 4 door handles. Service manager apologized, it was on the service order but they "forgot", brought in it for 2 more weeks, they only fixed the passenger window, apologized again, brought the suv to another Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge dealership ship, same thing. Never had any issue with Ford, Infiniti is on par with BMW, very clean and modern, you got snacks, sandwiches, cold and hot drinks, fruits waiting for you, loaner car (you can picked from several models), it feels more like a high end dealership and treating you like they are thanking you for buying their products. We saw a Wagoneer at a carshow, my wife really was digging it, I asked her if you dig it enough to go back to the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership, she quickly walked away.
The Lexus LX and GX are not luxurious I was expecting them to have a similar interior to the LS, which would have been beautiful...but they dont look different than regular Toyota interiors
Genesis has the best interior in this segment...only that they don't (and probably won't) compete in this segment. The largest they'll probably go is the large end of the midsized three row segment (QX60, Aviator etc competition), and it will most likely be electric only.
Infinity is doing it right. Using real wood trim and very rich interiors. I don’t know what happened to Lexus, but they have definitely fall off the bandwagon and this is coming from a 18 year Toyota/Lexus fanboy. Where is the "long family trip" version with entertainment screens and a fridge? Where are the flat folding second row seats so the kids can take a nap and be quiet? Why can't you turn the second row seats towards the rear with an optional table in between so we can play some board games or the oldest daughter can feed the baby or change the diapers on the fly? Why not have some dedicated option packages like that? Right now, Infinity has a nicely updated vehicle which really doesn't stand out. It's probably great and all, but in my opinion, they missed a lot of opportunities here. They made a competitor. What they should have made is a game changer. And I just don't see it.
Sounds like you want a Bentley Minivan. We know Nissan is working with limited resources and all of that would have jacked up the cost of development and the MSRP even more. To say they are righting their ship, they did a pretty good job of making something competitive. I'm sure as sales pickup, they'll add more on the top end in future updates.
Alex. A GLS450 with many options checked off is 97-99k. It's a V6. Air suspension. And I'd argue it blows this Infiniti out of the water. So I am genuinely confused when you say GLS "is a lot more expensive"...
What's the point in designing and building such a huge and heavy vehicle, but giving it so little cargo space behind the 3rd row? This would make much more sense if it was 1ft longer.

Strike One: huge connected screen for the dash and center plus a screen for HVAC ... ick. Strike Two: Push button gear selection Strike Three: Piano black EVERYWHERE.
The Japanese and Koreans are experts at imitation. This is like a poor mans Range Rover, they even called their trims autobiography! And that engine is phenomenal. It will surely be reliable, they’ve used it forever.
I'm really trying to like this car but my gut feeling just outright rejects it for now. Perhaps over time it will grow on me. The older model is a tank and the V8 made it a true beast that can take anyone anywhere across the country without breaking down.
This Infiniti QX-80 is on-par with everything else in this class like the LX, GX which is not as impressive, especially since the engine is shared with the tundra which at the moment it’s breaking apart/turbo waste-gate so they might eventually start acting up too. The Jeep Grand-W is hideous plus it’s stellantis product so no. The X7 has a horrendous front end, the GLS looks like a bubble and overprice. The Escalade has always been the best minus the roof leaks. The Navigator is a fancy expedition that’s still can’t create its own identity. Range Rover it’s expensive as hell and with proper maintenance it could last. And I almost forgot the all new Sequoia probably the cheapest but it’s too expensive for a Toyota plus, it also shares the same engine as the tundra that’s not gonna turn out well. We don’t have anything Audi, Porsche, Genesis and Volvo but for the best built quality goes the X7, LX,GX and the QX-80.
This thing is hideous. I absolutely hate the front end,.,sorry Alex. Divorced headlights should be banned from all automotive design.and that’s the thing I dislike the least.
Gx lx aren’t competitors, wagoneer has so many problems only an idiot would buy one, navigator and Escalade are ancient. If the qx80 didn’t get an engine downgrade it would be the obvious choice
This is what I’m hoping Cadillac does for the next generation Escalade and their new V8. They’re working with a massive 6.2L and they’ve already experimented with a hot “V” configuration twin turbo V8 with the hand-built CT6-V Blackwing motor. I hope a version of that makes it’s way into the Escalade as the new base motor. 🙏

11:26 the most expensive trim but cheapo plastic buttons just like 2005 Camry. enough reasons why Japanese cars are no longer as sexy as they used to be...
I hope the buyers of this behemoth like fingerprints and scratches, because that's all they're going to see on the center console. Yikes.
Strike One: huge connected screen for the dash and center plus a screen for HVAC ... ick.
Strike Two: Push button gear selection
Strike Three: Piano black EVERYWHERE.
You remain the definitive vehicle review. This vehicle not ready for prime time.
Betteridge's law of thumbnails strikes again
cool but for 100k not cool at all
I was just one day old when I just found out about the Infiniti logo 🤯🤯🤯
This looked like a compelling product for approximately 2.5 weeks. Then GM revealed the 2025 Cadillac Escalade.
Better !!!!!! Then the caddy
The Japanese and Koreans are experts at imitation. This is like a poor mans Range Rover, they even called their trims autobiography! And that engine is phenomenal. It will surely be reliable, they’ve used it forever.
Koreans are following Japan as a model.
Masculinity handsome but front could be tougher
wheres the rear seat entertainment screens😢
No wireless CarPlay?
This thing is hideous. I absolutely hate the front end,.,sorry Alex. Divorced headlights should be banned from all automotive design.and that’s the thing I dislike the least.
Lol… you would need a ladder just to check a dipstick
For me I'm on the fence between grand wagoneer or thus vehicle
Won't sell well at those high prices, especially at 100K or more.
I like it a lot, but not to the level I like the Escalade.
Gx lx aren’t competitors, wagoneer has so many problems only an idiot would buy one, navigator and Escalade are ancient. If the qx80 didn’t get an engine downgrade it would be the obvious choice
This or the gls580?
Reliability aside, Range Rover.
I don’t know why they didn’t shrink down the V8 and put twin turbos on it.
Absolutely but they had to appease the tree huggers, hence the V6 sounds better on paper.
The V6 was for "less emissions". That's what they all say. What's the point if it gets the same or worse fuel economy than the V8?
BETTER. It’s like Escalade and GLS combined.
7 passengers with a small trunk for the bags. 😊 Probably buy new clothes but for return with the new clothes, mmm or probably are billionaires and leave the clothes, but if are billionaires this car no is for they because are Rolls-Royce, helicopters or private jets for travels. The Cadillac Escalade with the big trunk win for all kind of people. 🏆💗👏🏼👏🏿👏👏🏻👏🏽. The new Infinity is a new advance but need again be better, is other standard big suv with some luxury but need more comfort for alls passenger with the luggage without sacrifice the long distances trips enjoying this new model.
When I win the lottery I will buy 2.
Im more curious about the armada to follow this. The interior of this thing is a joke, i wonder if the "volume model" will handle things like the center console
My Camry smog test donot shows catalytic converter details without check engine lights. They ask me to drive but no luck.pls advice how to proceed
Will done
15 mpg…😂😂😂👎🫏
Who started this monster grill craze?
BMW fosho
this twin turbo will not out last the good ol v8
Would only drive this if i was compensating for something tiny.
Good review. Americans love these gargantuan resource wasting boxes, and at crazy prices too. I think it’s just status that people want. I mean General Motors makes an electric hummer ! I’d rather have something simpler and fun to drive. I just don’t get this my trucks bigger than yours thing. Just a ridiculous status symbol.
$110K+ and no thigh extender...why?
What about bench seats? I hate the captains chairs. They are useless.
Cylons attack!
Qx80 Para mi compite con land rover por el lujo pero es mejor la qx80 saludos
Might as well get a Range Rover for this price point ….
V6... Gone. Done. Don't care. Not buying an SUV of that size without a V8.
No thank you I’ll take the Escalade
New transmission eh? Prolly still using plastic parts…Now with more finely tuned planned obsolescence. 🙂↔️
Infiniti still makes cars? ;-)
good luck with the trans😭
tire presser maybe above 45-50 PSI
Full sized BAE
But Escalade is not good, at least Lexus
In summary no
Cars just keep getting more and more unattainable 😢
