I'm so happy for you. I think that's a great decision and stay and recharge. You never know, you might like it enough to stay. Most of us aren't following you just for the trail, we are following one man's journey of life and change. Very proud of ya. It will out work out just fine.
People change their minds all the time! Don't worry what others think. Too many of us fall into that mistake. Take things one day at a time and enjoy life!

Glad you decided to stay awhile. That heat can be brutal. Looks like a beautiful little town. It would be nice if you walked the streets and show us some of the old buildings. And let us see how the town is laid out. Enjoy your stay.

Brother Rob sharing any part of your life with us is a privilege that you have extended to us; you are not obligated to share any of it. The bottom line of it all is that you get to do this journey we refer to as life one time; do it in a way that gives you peace. The ones that really care about you are those who allow you the freedom to be you unconditionally.

When my son told me that he wanted to walk the Appalachian trail i thought he was completly nuts!!. And he told me to watch your videos- now my heart grew fonder and i think people like you are living the LIFE. That is the kind of life people should be living instead of going to work everyday just to spend the money paying rent and buying pretty useless things that we like to aquired. My job is being threaten right now and i get worried, but on the other hand i think that i could live life to the fullest only if i have the courage to take the best road that life is offering.
My son n daughter in law are on the AT right now. Came from Georgia got to Harper Ferry got on the train to Maine and are going to come back to Harper Ferry to end the hike we are from west Virginia. I have a son 25 away

Dude I think it’s a good decision. Hang out there for a while, and when ur ready u do and go wherever and whenever u feel ready. Florida is t going anywhere anyhow. It’ll be there whenever you decide to go.

I'm not going anywhere Rob. Take your time and relax. Nomadic lifestyle is not about only traveling, it's about staying at a place for a while also. Enjoy life because you only get one try at it.

Great Desicion. Just enjoy and take it one week at a time. Meeting people from all over and having a nice place to live. Take it like a work vacation, but away from living in a tent for so long. You deserve it Rob.
Looks like a haven-stop, Rob. I've known some of those, too. We learn as we go. Loved the atmospheric train sounds in the thunder and the sun after the rain. Great sunset sky too.
Stay there for as long as you want bruh. You're a grown man and I'm sure most of us will stay even if you only post 2 or 3 times a month. Do whatever it is that makes you happy, we're here for you.

I'm also a nomad I think but I've been vanning it it one area in Colorado for quite some time. Someday I'll get a move on, but if its working for you there you should stay for a while.. the trail will always be outside your door!

The town is so "picturesque" and has so much character! You should have named the spider 🤣! Anyway, you took a huge leap of faith to plan to walk to Florida due to weather. Then you began your journey. What you just did now was equally a big leap of faith because you placed yourself in unfamiliar territory. Even though the "moment" you are in, is a far far cry from your shelter-house you started from, you stepped out of your box twice now, and we love it!! You could have done the easy thing by continuing on the trail just because you were accustomed to it already. You are Brave! It's NOT the destination.... it's the journey!! This all started because you were homeless. You are inspiring others that being homeless doesn't have to "define" a person, because YOU are actually defining "IT". I was homeless back in 1987 with 2 little girls. I tried to make an adventure out of everything so they would never be afraid. We stayed in a tent also in New Palz for a month and a half. Eventually we got to Florida (our planned destination). We did good, but Florida was the worst place for us... the "Mother" of nightmares. It took a long time to get out of there cause I soaked all my funds into starting over. Anyway, my daughters are grown. They have told me they never knew that we were "in trouble" (nowhere to go), because I made it such a fun learning experience that they actually loved! Point being... you are a Free-Spirit... please live in the moment, day by day. That is why/what most of us are here to see. YOU are the "Boss", and I for one identify with how you take nothing for granted, have integrity, are true to yourself, and are sharing your life as you see it. BTW, "screw Florida" 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't care less about THAT! I'm here for your life experiences. Sometimes we're put in a place for a reason. Maybe you can get some funny or serious stories from some other Travelers passing through. Not interviews. Tell them they each have 5 minutes to tell their best story! Anything you film or talk about will be great. Hey, maybe you're supposed to do THAT instead of Florida 😏👍👍👍Remember... Seinfeld was a show about "nothing" Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha 🤣😂😁🙂

I am so damn pleased that you have decided to hang out there. As far a video stuff, interview hikers coming thru. That would be awesome to hear their stories of the trail. You can film day to day work and folks live that content. Go check out The Wads on you tube and watch what she does in her videos. SHE MAKES A KILLING! You got tla great start here with an amazing subject matter.
I don't think you'll regret sticking around for a bit. That's the beauty of a nomadic lifestyle. When it's time to move along... your gut will let you know.

The journey is what it is. No one’s journey ever goes exactly to plan. If it takes 2 or 3 years to get to Florida, so be it. Think of all the great stories and experiences you will have along the way. Think of all the stories and experiences you have had already. Listen man Florida heat is horrendous. Where you are is a happy medium. I'd stay to. I moved out of Florida after 20yrs of being there because everyday is like groundhogs day. The scenery never changes (fall,winter,spring,summer are all the same,it's flat,no views besides the ocean and everything there is poisonous.theres a ton of other cons I can think of but I'm sure you get the point.
I will follow you regardless don’t sweat the recording.. record whatever you like !

It's been incredible seeing your journey from your shelter in NY state to where you are now. You've got some skills to have survived there for 3.5yrs and to have made it as far as you have. I'm so glad I've followed your journey for the last 6 months or so. I've been gripped throughout.

You've got a viewer base now, so you could just film talking vlogs and we'd all be keen to watch. Your thoughts are the most interesting thing because you're someone who's truly living life their own way rather than participating in the rat race of life and ticking all the boxes of parental expectation. You're a truly interesting man.
