Glad to see a company that stands behind their product...and it looks great! Since I live in Ohio, and this is an Ohio based company, their roof product is definitely on my radar for when our architectural shingles reach the end of their life.
Wow, I used to roof when I was much younger. Never did metal roofing, that is fantastic I would have sworn it was a composite roofing... by looking at it. Thank so much for keeping us all in the know about great products and people!! So... next is inspections!! I'm just so excited! Smiles and blessings...
I was really surprised when I turned on this video and found out that the roofing company was based LITERALLY in the next town north of us. In fact, the last place I lived before moving HERE was Piqua. Funny to see something from my neck of the woods on a video from so far away. Especially on a channel I've been watching since before you even MOVED to that property.
You could not have matched the tiles any better on your house and what a warranty every thing just flows so well together all of your dreams and plans coming together I can not imagine the happy talks you and your sweet lady have I'm here waiting
Wow Jeremy that is one beautiful roof! I wish I knew there was something out there when we put our metal roof was installed. That is what we have is standing seam steel roof.
Not only beautifully asthetic to the homebuild but functional also. Right colour tones, agreed.Any flash covering to protect the batchboards on the edges of the roof? Good stuff.
After doing a little digging... In 2020, before the 200% steel markup, these started around $10 a sqft and can go upwards of $20 with all the fancy coatings.. So that could be $20-40 in todays costs... You could get a Tesla roof for that..
There seems to be a zigzag pattern. Maybe at install, they should have randomized them a little better, i.e. don't place them in the order that they come out of the box. Seems like something I'd consider, though.
I like the look of the steel shingles. The only thing I don’t really like is the color, it looks kind of pinkish to me, which doesn’t go with the golden color of the porch roof and posts, but maybe it’s just the screen I’m on. Great that you are happy, that’s what matters. You are paying attention to every detail and you’re going to love your home when you’re done.
It’s actually hooked up to a “lightning green energy system” where every time it gets hit by lightning you completely fill up your solar battery reserve
Whereas metal conducts electricity, it does not "attract" it. Therefore, lightning typically hits the highest object around. If the roof does get hit, the charge will ground out through the structure. By code, plumbing pipes and things through the roof must be PVC not metal.
If it is you know it’s going to be double the price. I live in Canada and in the middle of building a house. Everything is crazy expensive or out of stock ☹️
I didn't even know that there was steel shingles. You definitely chose a great color. How heavy are these shingles? Lol... looks like you have plenty of jealous/negative viewers. If anyone is looking for another great channel, check out The Veggie Boys! They are so entertaining and their produce is amazing!
So much depends upon the cell signal available in the area. We all use our cell phones all the time inside of metal roofed and metal skinned buildings actually.

Roof looks fantastic..
Very informative👍👍
Have a good day 🍁🍁🍁
My daughter has been looking for a steel roof. Yours is beautiful! Thank you for sharing all the information.

Wow! Love the new roof! And, it's a Piqua, Ohio company, which is not too far away from us. Time for a new roof here.
I sure can't wait until your move in day, I totally love that house.
You could not have matched the tiles any better on your house and what a warranty every thing just flows so well together all of your dreams and plans coming together I can not imagine the happy talks you and your sweet lady have I'm here waiting
That's awesome looking roof What a beautiful House 🏡
really liking how the house is shaping up. looking good! liked the stone work the other day as well.

Like the look of the metal shingles, of course like all metal roofing at the end of the life of the roof most of it can be recycled.
Gorgeous! Love it. Thank you.
What an amazing product they have! Can't beat their warranty either.

Looks fantastic!
Nice. I like my Decra system 50yr warranty, 120mph wind and hail.
Beautiful!!
Hahahaha I heard JP's radio and wondered why because I'm thinking he's done there. But, then I see the steps and columns. 🤣
Still love the roof!
Really curious to know what your budget is building this house? A lot of expensive materials most people can't afford.
Looks really nice!
What is the price per sqft?

Your house is really looking good!
Thanks Mike. It’s been a hell of a project.
My quote from them was $40k in materials. That was 8 months ago. I'd be too scared to price it now.
Wow that is expensive!
Curious, how many squares of roofing was that?
@@asktoddmiller the house is 1200ft2 and there’s likely another 1200ft2 of porches overhangs and dormers.
@@mattbrew11 The above price sounds too higher for materials only unless you were being quoted copper.
Great video thanks again

How much noise, if any does it, create when it rains?
Hardly any with all the insulation in the roof
Who's talking in the background during the ENTIRE VIDEO?
Does Rick do RV ROOFS THST ARENT MOVING ANYWHERE ANYMORE ??! IM LOCSTED IN TEXAS !!!
Aloha! Beautiful!
Wouldn't steel shingles be a lightning conductor?

@@GraysonMedical Yes, I understand@@

is this product available in Canada?

I noticed that you can walk on them, they aren’t slippery...
Is that a PX4 Storm?
One question, why did you choose steel over aluminum?
No reason other than this color and profile was steel.
I think I just watched an infomercial!
Pretty sure that is how he got to roof that last bit.. With steel up 200% or more... No one can afford it..
Saw these on Cole the Cornstar, not too long ago they changed like 5 buildings to these.
Nice Cole the Cornstar reference
That does look nice I'm sure it's out of my budget. just saying
Should Last as long as tin roofing
Its just me, or sounds like there is multiple people talking in the background
yes there is a radio on in the background I believe.
Name that EDC :)
Hope you receive a discount on your homeowner's insurance.
That sounds like an awesome roofing system

Hello Darla, I'm stalking you!!!! lol
@@tonygrimes13 You sure are!
How much damage to the coating is being done by the installer hammering them in place with the nose of his nailgun?
Lol. None.

.
Heads up, the metal roof can interfere with cell phone and Wi-Fi....
My phone works just fine with it
If it does interfere with your cell signal just get a cell signal booster. They aren’t all that expensive.
So much depends upon the cell signal available in the area. We all use our cell phones all the time inside of metal roofed and metal skinned buildings actually.
you talk too much show them putting it on not talk about it
There is an earlier video where they show the 2 week installation. Look back. Hope this helps
