Pro tip: Instead of face nailing the flashing with roof nails and caulking over the nail heads, use a color matched metal roofing screw. Looks better, self seals so is a quicker install, and lasts longer.
Honestly, when I first saw the shingles, I didn’t think it was gonna look that great. But it actually looks really good! And yeah, that should last a long time and be super resistant against hail or anything else nature throws at it, pretty cool. It being recycled is a final bonus.
Very aesthetically pleasing, it adds a lot of depth to your roof. Looks like a solid option for an un-killable roof if you don't like the look of metal.
Looks like cheap trash, either save up and get a tile or slate roof, or don’t waste your money. A lot of people in my area did this and it is so blatantly fake and trashy looking, I hope this trend ends quickly.

That's a pretty cool looking product. Why do I get the feeling that Lesley and Jamie were getting on like two peas in a pod and geeking out over stuff?
Man that roof looks awesome! Here in Northwest Georgia you would never get six straight days of no rain! It is like Seattle Washington here. I was lucky to get four straight days without rain so I could finish my deck staining LOL!
What an amazing product, having worked in the transport industry for many years finding a use for old truck tyres is just ingenious. The roof looks amazing and should last a whole lot longer than the one you replaced.

Looks Great. I wouldve liked to see that first piece of step flashing have a "kick out" diverting water away from the siding and into the gutter. Great Product, I operate in Southern Alberta and have used Euroshield quite a few times.
Lesley the president grew up as a tough Iowa farm girl but has been in Canada a few years now & definitely adapted to the friendly Canadian culture. Henry the CEO has been in Canada most of not all his life I believe. I sell for them in SE USA.
I think where I live in snow country I'd put down some adhesive under the edges of the shingles in the valleys. Melting snow creates small dams on the roof and water backs up, (just one of the reasons for the pitch of our roofs.)
Wow...that is a seriously handsome roof. I really don't like the idea of the water running off a surface of hot tire rubber in summer rains, but on the other hand it's a great use of all that recycled rubber and is stunning. Great job guys!
@@carolewarner101the company does not release it because they do not want to encourage people to drink it or put it on their tomatoes just in case, BUT a private 3rd party study was done because on the islands rainwater collection is common. That study found it to be safe to my understanding.

@carole… You seem to be making some assumptions. While there are carcinogens in the rubber, they are not necessarily being released in rain water. I am just learning about this roof, so I don’t know definitively about this particular situation but am aware of a similar study. The North Coast Regional Water Board for the state of California and the City of Ukiah did one a few years ago to investigate whether crumb rubber could be used in stormwater filtration features. I think it was Humbolt State University that conducted the study and basically found that the recycled tire material did not adversely affect the filtration of the soil medium with crumb rubber in it.
Pro tip: use a water based armor all. Will protect your tires and roof at the same time. The greasier type normally used on tire might make the highest pitched roof on the street slippery!
What a beautiful roof! I don't believe that material is available here in Oklahoma - but I am going to look for it the next time I have to roof my house. Outstanding! And looks just like stone.
Hi everyone just wanted to say I love your channel I wouldn't have a clue about building houses but I subscribed because yous are brilliant at what you do love the banter between you all ❤from Belfast northern ireland ❤️
Interesting a tile roof that can be used in a cold weather climate. Most rigid tile like ceramic or concrete can’t deal with the freeze and thaw cycles. Also the weight on top of snow loading requirements.
I absolutely love that roof...Man, my new house in Florida is sitting there with tar-paper while the mechanicals are going in the home and this video drops! I suggested calling the Fort Pierce dealer to get a price. My builder thinks I'm crazy.
Nice product. Will be interesting to see how it plays out over time. Showing how to install a roof jack, then commenting that you could leave the nails there without mentioning they need to be tapped down tight to the shingle they are holding could use a comment.
