Props for catching that non-stereo limitation on the unit. Tons of people have reviewed it now, and yet you're the first person I've seen mention it.
I literally JUST saw this used in my Guitar Center yesterday, and now there's an Ola video. crazy!
Idk if these videos do as good as swola in views but for what it’s worth, this is the stuff I REALLY look forward to.
Same
New units are great, honestly you can buy any like that and keep it for years, I still have my GT1000 and don't plan to upgrade soon. We live in a good time to be musicians
Please go back to doing more In The Room videos! These are my favorite and they really help when when looking to purchase a new amp
Hi, Ola,
It's good that you mentioned stereo operation of this unit. What about effects - may be Trident's effects has mono Input and stereo Output, just like it little brother Cerberus. So if you turn on e.g. single reverb or single delay it goes stereo but if you engage delay and reverb simultaneously only reverb will produce stereo output. But it's only suggestions (I have the Nux Cerberus)
Just love the black and orange look like the HM-2
The new Donner arena 2000 is even more affordable and really worth a try for just half the price as the Nux. Nux and Donner have both amazing affordable units that really should fit the need of most of us non professional guitar players, take this in consideration before you spend insane amounts of money on the high end stuff that is just overloaded with features that most ff us will never need. cheers 🎸🎸
I contend that both aforementioned company's products are usable in various professional settings. I think the days of needing to spend large sums on big names to have quality tools are well over now.
@@GregMerritt-ws8tq 👍👍
@@GregMerritt-ws8tq i know why i still swear by my good old rocktron prophesy 😂👍
The Arena was cool but I had to return mine. It would not connect to it's own app on my pc so I couldn't load custom IR's. On the second day all usb connectivity just stopped working so I couldn't even use it as an audio interface. Maybe just bad luck but I guess I'm sticking to plugins for a while.
The Donner sucked for me, buzzed like a mf and I was getting electric shocks from it. Couldn't connect to the app or to the PC either. It was a disappointment. NuX hasn't let me down, currently got the MG400 and it's great.
It's funny, I was looking at this product the other day. Thanks for the review Ola. Might have to give it a try.
I own a NuX Cerberus for a long time and it's like a Swiss army knife. It can be used in a very pedal-friendly mode, or with presets which is great for a live purpose.
However, I feel like NuX missed the train with the Trident, compared to some similary-priced units.
For example, I bought a Valeton GP-200. The sound may be a little boxy, but a BBE Sonic Stomp in the FX loop make it chug great.
In addition, you can disable the IRs on the left output of the GP-200 and keep it enabled on the right, which is great for live : the left output goes through a poweramp and a cabinet, and the right output goes straight to the mixer ... but you lose the stereo.
It would be great to have your views on this unit, Ola !
Dual Rectifier is missing some of that low end bite but overall pretty good
I bought this and I think that its pretty good as a gateway to digital modifying amps. Its the first modifying amp i ever bought, and I think it does its job pretty damn well at that price range 👍🏻
I'm a Nux fan. Also Boss Mxr.. Just subscribed. Nice Mancave buddy looks chill have a good one 😎✌️🎸💯

Sounds like
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
by Guns N' Roses! 🤘
A little like Dokken also! 🤘
Just bought today! now just waiting to arrive :D
That guitar is beautiful.
Just tried a few older Nux products at some point but most of them had much better sound quality than build quality.
Build quality is easy to catch up, this one seems well built and also doesn't sound bad, but multi-fx units are just not for me.
Take a look at MG-30 (note: it's newer than the 300)
Any plans on testing out a Friedman IR-X? It sounds incredible in all the videos I've seen but not enough metal tone demonstrations. I think you'd like it a lot.
Dave said in a recent interview that ola wants them to make a video together about it. But friedmans in LA, and ola is in sweeden, so ????? I have one and it chugs! But for the first time in my life i have a good clean tone too.
Love the form factor of this, cleans sounded pretty good, and it does high gain well as expected. How are the medium gain tones?
Sick Video 🤘
Love the look - metalzone chic
Is Nux just a new name for Zoom?
The back of that pedal looks rather similar to the old massize zoom effects units.
Big displays crank the price up higher than it has to be. I'm perfectly fine with this. Shows that they care about more than inflating the price tag. Really have to wonder about the lack of stereo delays though. Obviously marketed towards bedroom guitarists, so that's a pretty glaring oversight.
I actually like this one a lot. Most multifx units are essentially production tools and have too much room for innocent mistakes on inexperienced guitar players.
This one's more of a unit for the guitar player. So easy to use there's no fucking it up whatsoever.
Wait a minute, surely it must have stereo. The NUX MG-30 has some great stereo FX etc, so I'll be really surprised if that isn't switchable somehow...
Widih, dah smpe tangan ola englund coy,,,,gawat ini mah
Even Ola didn't look enthusiastic to tweak this things 😅.
Nice clean. But the distortion is kinda meh for me
me to 😢
It really sounds worse than their MG-30 model.
10:20 “it would have been nicer if it was in stereo”. Mate that was in stereo right there :)
Hey OLA? When are you getting a Hermansson amplifier 5 gain stage mod? We all want your opinion !
Hi, is there a way in the global setting to increase the output audio? I have very high impedance headphones
I don’t know, that last reverb at 10:23 sounded stereo to me.
It's amazing how technology has brought really good tones to the masses and made them affordable. Kids these days should be made to play through a Zoom 505, a Line 6 Pod, or a Johnson J Station to appreciate what they have now.
I still have a Johnson J Station 😅
I haven’t even thought of a Johnson J Station in like 20 years hahaha, thanks for the reminder!
But kids doesn't have time and energy that we had in the past!
man the line 6 bean hd desk model can still sound decent if ya know what your doing lol. i mean i still enjoy it on occasion 😅. my buddy just let me borrow his zoom g1x4 and i actually still have my 505. the g1x4 is actually pretty impressive for the price and compared to the 505 which is the last zoom multi fx i ever touched. lol he just began his guitar journey again after quitting 15+ years ago and i tell em how good we as players have it with this golden tech age. i told em to pick up one of the apogee iphone interfaces or one of mid priced iRigs, and then gave him a quick rundown of it when he brought it over. goddamn solid tones out of an iphone. i was just as impressed as he was tbh and ive used em b4 😅
Don't forget guitar rig 3 or 4. It was awful.
One of your riffs sounds similar to "Of Unsound Mind" by Metal Church @8:01
Boss ME-90 is out for a few months now. Have you tried, or wanna try next?
About the stereo, i would think that only some of the reverbs/delays are in stereo, it certainly was like this on my mooer ge300 lite (which i sold coz it started making problems, it had to be restored to factory settings, and i didnt back up my presets, so i lost everything). My band has a pause anyway, and i hope i can save at least 800 bucks for a good tube amp, until we start playing again, instead of my cheap "vintage" bugera)
I just want to say that guitar is beautiful.
I'll just share that I recently got a Hughes & Kettner AmpMan Modern, and it is utterly amazing. Maybe check it out!
there are so many professional musicians now specially in Asia that are using NUX pedals as their main gigging tool.
Correct ! I am one of those! This unit in a live situation sounds as good as units many times the price .
my sonicake matribox 2 has 64 amps and cabs and spots for ir cabs for under $200
Do the GP-200 from Valeton next
Thoughts on this vs Boss me90?
Ola? When try the NUX mighty space?
Can you provide a more extensive review? Using external I.R. or your own? Tweaking the pedalboard's EQ to achieve a better sound? In a chug style.
You're right I like " need " stereo
The effects are not in stereo? Hard to believe is that true
Not sure about the nux....but omg...i loooove that solar
Are u we gonna get a st rock AMPERIUM LIVE review
I´m waiting for the Valeton GP200 test...
I have actually heard that the proper pronunciation of the company name is NU-X or sounds like New-Ex.
If you don't mind, can I use that on a bass guitar?
They should make one version for metal and call it Tridjent! ;)
Next Boss ME 90 🤘
Definitivamente a NUX parou no tempo.
Right in the Nux
Are you sure it's not a setup parameter thing?
Good deal, I value your opinion! (Just saying) 🤘
The pricing doesn't make any sense to me. They basically took the Nux Cerberus, added the amp section and doubled the price. And in the process apparently discontinued the Cerberus, because it has been out of stock for a while. Even their own MG-30 is 130-150€ cheaper, which makes the pricing even more weird.
So many great options in a similar price range with the Trident. And if you add 150€ you are already getting HX Stomp. Or a just barely used HX Stomp for the price of this one new.
Hey Ola! Can you make that guitar un purple? Pleeeease?
Thanks Ola. It chugged but not really in an extraordinary way. You didn´t even load your IRs. Wasn´t it possible ? I don´t mind that much of the lack of stereo as of that it doesn´t really sound killer. Very mid rangey...
Good day, Ola.
00:34 Why does it look Wet? Did you spit some Jagermeister on it? Did that help the Tone?? 🤪
I wanna see a Friedman IR X review....it has real tubes
the mx5 next!
Hi, Ola!
Have You ever played on the legendary DigiTech Genesis 1 & 3? The DigiTech Genesis 1 was My childhood of playing Metal music, and I still value that effects pedal to this day!!! 🤘🤘
Have an old rp1 around here somewhere lol
GNX2 crew
@@rtaylor1105
DigiTech Genesis 1
may be old and simple, but that's what I love about it, its simplicity and how awesome the effects and amp cabinets sound!
Now, of course, We all know what Rectified sound is, so I use Rectified along with Green 4x12!
Sorry, I'm rambling on here, but speaking of Your effects pedal, why don't You copy and paste the video link here and show Me what one You are talking about in particular? 😊🤘
@@yuletide
Is this Your guitar pedal, Dude, yeah? 😊
and why do you need a processor without a pedal? Should I buy a pedal separately? why? after all, you can immediately choose a good processor with a pedal!
edit the sound with the Quick tone much more fun😉🤘
Hey look! It’s the exact guitar that I wish existed in a 7-string format.
Cool
does it chug
i bought the nu x pro drum and loop it pronounced ( new - x )
Ola!! Nice video, as always. Completely unrelated suggestion though. Ever think about making a calendar featuring some of your gear and graphics? I'd buy it.
I have the NUX MG30. It's really good. Anyone on the fence about getting one, I recommend it.
I have a nux mighty plug that I use all the time and I have full version amplitube 5 with several metal amp packs.
I love the dual rectifier sim from nux possibly the best sim I've played and I have the official mesa pack for amplitube...
Apartment living....
I also have the NUX MG30 but i would like to dial in some better high gain tones,do you have any good high gain tones you created in your MG30 you could share with me?
Mg 30 is my living room rig. Super fun and i don't care if someone spills beer on it. 👍
@@jimsimmons2674 the most important thing is to load your own IRs
Is it just me or does Ola have to change the strings on that guitar? I'm seeing the black spots on the plain steel strings up top
It works for stereo delay (pingpong), chorus, and thats it *i think
Man, I remember when i was a total analog douche, now all those things sound great and they´re affordable, im thinking to get som ampero o something on that level.
Not bad but the metal tones sound “muted?” If that makes sense ?
I don't know looks like ola was rushing and not messing whit it like other effects he had try before
@@jcalzada74not blaming anyone but stock as he tested it doesn’t sound super good to me not bad but could be better. But well tweaked I’m sure it sounds excellent
Dude even the nux mg300 the cheapest they got sound good for what I see ola was using the studio mode, this unit shares the same platform as the others on this mode there is a pre Eq low, high, mids this will change the sound so drastically on a good way
Not convinced personally, sounds in the same league as my boss gt100. Ended up with a helix and never looked back
Was expecting something better, from what I heard can't say this impressed me
correct me if i'm wrong but I thought the company is pronounced 'new-ex'
Órale!! Muy metal!! 🤘🏽🔥
There's so many of those types, just give me a good amp, a tube screamer and I'm ready to go ha
Zero mistakes?
Nu>x
Sounds decent, I'd prefer my BOSS GX-100 but I'd have to admit that the high gain tones may sound better on the NUX.
Takes a lot of effort to dial in a good high gain tone on the BOSS but this NUX unit has decent high gain presets.
But the effects are not stereo, are they in your gx boss?
next episode zoom g11 please 🤘
Did you drop a soda on it or something
"sounds ok"😂... you're a gentleman!
Looks like something you should want to small rehearsal but not far.
Looks better than it sounds.
the user manual actually stated what are those outputs are. lol
please review nux amp academy😁
Dude, You should form Your own music instrument store, and You'd have TWO businesses!!!
But, I know You're probably just happy with the way things are, and that's cool. Totally respect that! 😉🤘
Olamusic! Englundguitars!
OLA - I have not got a youtube notification in over a year, not one video in my feed - im subbed,
FYI you are very shadow banned.
IDK, I see him come up every time he releases a video....
@@suffersystemstudios I do as well
I'm convinced all these things basically sound the same. It's the gear snobs that act like their modeler is better when we all know in a blind test your ears can't tell the difference.
Your mic sounded a little distorted on this one.
All these modelers sound essentially the same to me. The only one that's really impressed me is the ISP Theta Max Pro. Not a modeler and it has an interface straight out of the 90's with no usb but damn those distortions and the chorus are in a class of their own. Worth checking out.
I own the ISP Theta Pro MSX and you’re right, the tones can’t be beat. Sounds analog… and unique. People don’t realize that it’s NOT a modeler. It’s a tone shaping preamp. Absolutely kicks ass… well, except for the interface which is something from the 90s. 🤣
@@Ericksonvision I have both the MSX and the latest rev of the Theta Pro. Absolutely love those processors! AND if you ever have any questions about them you’re a phone call away to talk to the man himself, Mr Buck Waller! F-ing Rocktron legend!
If all you really want is something to chug then the NUX Metal Core Deluxe pedal ($80us) that also has a great noise gate built in is perfect. I run it through an old Peavey Bandit and it sounds great.. imo.
Sounds like many other Chinese processors, btw, it's all one company, i think 😊
Try Nux MG-30
I hear Jared Dines in a distance “But does it djent?”
What I gathered here is that I need that CFH emblem shirt.
Oh... uh... good work NUX
