Holy Sheep Sh*t! Was watching and POOF was gone! Thought you were being invaded by UFO's or something. Glad it's back.YT messing with everybody these days. hej då!
The Dean ML shape was around before Dime, i believe ML stands for a deceased friend's initials. i so happen to love Dean anything, and i happen to have a DMT Dimetime humbucker neck pickup. seems they only made the Dimetime line of pickups for the neck, i cant find a bridge Dimetime . i think Dean may think the razor, stealth shapes are derived from the OG ML, or Splitail? my two cents
@@nickbavera362 correct, the Dimetime was a neck pickup, they did make a “showdown” ml that had a dimetime in the bridge but it was just the neck pickup used in the bridge position.
Wow man, that was really cool to dedicate this episode to Adam Burse. He was such a nice person and it's touching to see how many people his positivity effected. We can certainly all try to be more like Adam. RIP
Glen isn’t bullshitting. I met him and his drummer Steve in Columbus Ohio at the alrosa villa years ago before a show, the parking lot was empty and they came in a van and I finally got the courage to approach them and they talked to me for like a half an hour, we smoked and talked about just normal type shit. I’ll never forget it. Actually a really humble , straight up dude. Steve was as well. And rip Adam.
Oh no Adam! Rest in peace dude. I am so saddened to hear of Adam's passing, he always supported the community and their contributions and I KNOW he is gonna be sorely missed 😥
Earlier on the day I played at the Surhuizum Open Air festival too. The mud was maybe even worse than Wacken 2016, haha. Really wanted to see you guys and say hi, but after our show our cars were stuck in the parking field and had to be pulled out of the mud, so I drove back home, not risking to have the same problem again at night 😅
Hey Ola, Scott Ian from Anthrax, of course, had a signature Jackson 5-String model in the early 90s as well. I remember distinctly because it didn’t look metal at all. It looked like something the Beatles would’ve used, not that there’s anything at all wrong there. But he did have. It was about the time that John Bush did that Sound Of White Noise with Anthrax
This might be a question for the upcoming swola..As we all know guitar market is flooded by chinese replicas of Dime Deans and Washburns from Aliexpress and Dean, Washburn and Dimebag Estate cannot do anything about it. Do you think it will be beneficial for Dimebag Estate and Dean or Washburn to sign a new agreement to manufacture Dimebags axes so that people can have again the opporunity to buy the real deal vs the chinese knockoffs? For me who live outside of US is way difficult to find a real Dean or Washy and I got temptated many times to buy a chinese replica but if there was real ones in the market available I wouldn't even think about it. I believe many others would do too. Thanks.
The weather is one of the biggest reasons I don't want to ever play 'outside', nor go to festivals. Give me a dank bar to play in, or a big dome to mosh in and I'm happy af.
10:56 - I've been studying this for years, it's casually called "Stank face" and occurs in babies with no prior music knowledge, and any genre of music not just metal, though does often emerge in metal more frequently. From years of reading related studies etc, I think I have the best answer so far in the absence of a proper paper on the subject... (any papers etc people know of please do link me to them!) The "face of disgust" is seen in humans when disgusted, and is done to heighten senses - by squashing the parts of the face it flares the nostrils for improved smell detection and airflow, squints the eyes for more precision, and pulls the face to help direct the senses. This face is the same as "stank face", which indicates the body is using this usual "face of digust" natural reaction to actually increase the senses for the experience. The result is enjoying something with a disgusted face, we are weird creatures eh?
Thanks for that contribution man! Have been interested in such affective/bodily reactions myself and really like your interpretation that it is to heighten the senses (even more). 👍🏻
I just got my T2.6 last week and it's easily one of the coolest guitars in my collection. I hope to learn death metal on it. It took three weeks to finally ship but it got here. Thanks Ola!
This is a VERY bad idea for Dean... Since the lawsuit is ongoing, it means they KNOW there is a cease and decist on production and sales of Dime guitars. If they are still selling to try and make money, they will owe the Dime estate every penny that those guitars sold for during the lawsuit if they lose. It's better to not sell until the lawsuit ends, just to cover their own rear ends
15:53 Sindrome! I was lucky enough to see Troy Dixler and Sindrome many times here in Chicago. My friend Erv Brautigam was one of the guitarists in the band towards the end of their live shows, I still have the black Dean Z Erv sold me, he played his white one in Devastation and Sindrome. Fantastic seeing that shirt.
As a fan, I'm quite happy that there are more VIP ticket options these days. I bought VIP tix for John 5 this September, as well as Ola & Bernth in January (on my birthday!) Having done VIP before, I know I don't get to sit with my heroes and chat and schmooze for half an hour, but it's pretty cool to get a snapshot or two and talk a little bit. That all being said, I can understand why some bands don't want to do that, since it may feel disingenuous. I sure as hell won't hold that against them.
The cello blasters were actually really cool. The open tuning allowed for a lot of inspiration. I had one but admittedly just moved to a six and tuned it similarly
I met Glenn at the last Deicide show I attended a month or two ago. I've actually at least said hi and shook hands with him at every Deicide show I've been to. He took a picture with me and my son at this most recent gig and he was very polite welcoming to us. Glenn is a good dude and you can almost always meet him at a Deicide gig if you play your cards right 🤘🤘🤘
Shows like that are always the best. Most memorable. A metal fest i played in april started raining during our set smiles got bigger crowd was louder 🤘 love that shit man
Keith Richards has been playing a 5 String in open G tuning for decades so it's cool to see someone else take a similar approach with a different tuning.
This is why, even as a metal guy, all my non-gym/running shoes are only cowboy boots. Rain or shine, mud or dust, cold or hot. My boots don't care and my socks stay dry. Plus playing hardcore in cowboy boots gives fun looks. I wonder if I should get spurs for shts n giggles?
I one time met Glenn in New York City after a Deicide show. As a young teen I had a Deicide poster and I waited for the whole band to sign it and Glenn kept me outside for over two hours for him to sign and he saw me multiple times waiting and when he finally came out, he was not the friendliest guy I met as a kid after that I lost taste for the band. The rest of the band we’re great dudes came outside immediately to take pictures with me when they saw me waiting after the show.
I was super excited to see the Collier signature guitar live. The Lace pickups did worry me with how frail they can be. Lo and behold, the guitar had lots of issues at his Helsinki show and right when he stomped on a distortion we got one slide-in to a chord and... poof. Died😅 Jacob recovered quick with just jumping onto the piano and finished the song. Shame, that guitar is really cool and the way he tunes it.
1) What amplifier did you use for Chug Project 3? Did you use any distortion pedal? 2) What's the name of the song that played on the intro of your vacation video on Ola Englund 2? It kinda sounds like Top Gun anthem, played on the 1st movie, when they defeat the Soviet jets
I thought I was the only one who remembered those 5-string guitars from the 90's. I remember seeing an advertisement for them in a guitar magazine and thought "eh". You can always do the Devin Townsend tuning with a 6 string, so I thought having straight up perfect fifths with only 5 strings wasn't where it is at. Then I thought the exact same about 7 string guitars. What is actually new in the world of guitar nowadays?
Hey Ola! I love cooking, and listening to music is part of the recipe for me. If you do cook at home, what type of music do you like listening to while doing so.
I believe the Tommy Lee methods of mayhem signature guitar was a 5 string. They also had a "revenger style" that I believe Godsmack used on the early albums
Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones has played with just five stings his whole career He takes off the high E and a lot of the early Delta Blues guys took off the high E too Btw Ola you really have what it takes on the drums I've been playing for 41 yrs and I can spot it in an instant 🤘🧐😎✌️👍
Reupload because original got demonetized by my own song (?) HAVE a Great Sunday!
Saw you play! Freakin amazing
Holy Sheep Sh*t! Was watching and POOF was gone! Thought you were being invaded by UFO's or something. Glad it's back.YT messing with everybody these days. hej då!
FU YT, no one puts OE in the DM corner!!!
Have a GREAT S-day!
What a world, WHAT A WORLD!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
RIP Adam Burse, absolute SWOLA Riff Challenge legend~~
R.I.P. Adam. The bravest SWOLA guy with his live one take entries.😢🤘
that sucks to hear dude...do you know what happened?
Clarification on the Dean pickups, DMT stands for Dean Magnetic Technologies, the Dimetime was a separate pickup in that series 😸👍
thanks for the clarification. Had no idea about that!

Ola was in my country, nice. Rain and festivals is like a tradition here. Hope you still enjoyed it!
Silas is amazing! I'm very happy to see him winning his first signature guitar, especially been a Solar.
Great content as always and thank you for dedicating the episode to our friend Adam. RIP on that 7 string buddy!! 🔥🔥🔥
Rest in peace my friend Adam you were incredible to our community.... we will miss you buddy
nice touch at the end there Ola.
R.I.P. Adam Burse 🤘🤍🙏
Oh no Adam! Rest in peace dude. I am so saddened to hear of Adam's passing, he always supported the community and their contributions and I KNOW he is gonna be sorely missed 😥

Hey Ola! Bård Torstensen of Clawfinger used a Schecter Celloblaster C5-X Baritone in 2005 (Zeros and Heroes album era)
RIP Adam and Glen and Dimebag and Ola's monetization.
r.i.p. Adam
RIP Adam...🕯️🤘🖤
The weather is one of the biggest reasons I don't want to ever play 'outside', nor go to festivals. Give me a dank bar to play in, or a big dome to mosh in and I'm happy af.
RIP Adam... Damn that sucks.
Oh the glamour of playing at a rainy festival show.
❤
That intro was awesomeness

Loved the Mud Summerfest 2024.
Oh cool, I saw For I Am King supporting Nekrogoblikon a few years ago! They were tight AF!
The show was great! I loved it can't wait to see you guys in dryer circumstanses 😉
I just got my T2.6 last week and it's easily one of the coolest guitars in my collection. I hope to learn death metal on it. It took three weeks to finally ship but it got here. Thanks Ola!

@74581 I didn't. I sued someone and won.

Digging those intro leads!
The cello blasters were actually really cool. The open tuning allowed for a lot of inspiration. I had one but admittedly just moved to a six and tuned it similarly
Ola with the leg bags! You’re a f**king genius!

A new way to own a "lawsuit era" guitar!
That intro riff/song is so fucking sick Ola! Good shit.
R.I.P. Adam Burse. You were an awesome human being!!
RIP Adam and love to your friends and family.
Hellyeah ola in the Netherlands 🔥🎸
I love when I can smell my riffs! And if they're heavy enough you can focking taste 'em 👽
That’s why don’t wear sneakers. Boots for the win! And are way more metal 😂
Rest in Peace Adam. So young ...
I got my s in 3 days shipped. I love this thing ola thanks should have just solar on the head stock. I'd never known the difference
Keith Richards has been playing a 5 String in open G tuning for decades so it's cool to see someone else take a similar approach with a different tuning.
Ola - the Beavis of Lyrical content.
Wouldn't have it any other way !!
The Perkeles! Loving Marcos shirt! Great to see him bringing the inner Finn outside 😃
Marco looking older, dude was crazy in shadow world

3:00 just got mine 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
16:55 Elétric Eye Audio Mud Killer pedal would have resolved this problem for you.
What even happened to the Dean Zelinsky Dimebagz??
I don't think anyone knows. Seems like thats been in the works forever but still no sign of it actually happening. I wouldn't hold my breath on that
@True_Necroholic I see Dean guitars started making Stealths, Razorbacks, and Dixies without Darrell's name. I wonder if that's part of the reason 🤔
I remember last week on friday i saw on Thomann that the Dime-O-Flage was in stock so i bought it and it should arrive tomorrow
Sicko riff, Ola rules !
Scouts always taught us to “be prepared “.
So if it’s summer? Have a raincoat and boots etc.
I guess you weren’t prepared

Didn’t understand in your previous video about the tone master how mud got in it, crazy.
My gf just saw Ola for the first time and she said he looks like Sweedish Jesus!!🤘 Metal Jesus🤘🤘
2:30 I’m sure Louise would enjoy a bit of whatever you said there 🤣😂🤣😂
