First Lyft ride as a Driver

- On Friday June 3rd 2022 I signed up for Lyft it was a really easy process it. It took less than 2 hours for me to fill everything out and get my background check approved. If you ever decide on Nevada, consider Henderson. Las Vegas has more of a higher crim rate than Henderson any day.
@Baby Cakes ya I love Las Vegas it's one of my favorite places to travel to. 👍I did hear that the crime is pretty bad there and expensive. I guess there's pros and cons to everywhere.
They are you suppose say your name before pickup. You dont need to anounce you have a camera and please dont apologize. Just keep driving and adding content Dwebb.

I do Lyft too and I know a lot of people use webcams but I feel uncomfortable doing that too my passengers. I am not sure if they will be okay with that or not. I haven't had any problems so knock on wood.
@gregjaidee if you watch my video call first annoying lyft passenger you will see I ran into a problem with someone being weird about me filming you can see how I handled the situation but my best advice is just see what is legal with filming in your state and if your following the laws don't over think it you should be fine and if you do still get nervous just tell your passengers when they get in (Hey just a heads up I film all my rides your welcome to cancel if that makes you uncomfortable) if you say that almost always they will just get in and take the ride maybe say a smart remark about it if they do care but not enough to cancel and wait for a new driver. Take what I say with a grain of salt u just my opinion best luck out there I don't drive for Lyft anymore.
I haven't had any problems with any of my passengers so I don't feel the need to video tape them. I respect their privacy.@@D-Webb1996
I am interested to dry for Lyft so o have a question,
If you take someone to a destination then he ask you to wait for 5 minutes, then he ask you to bring him back to the same spot, how you handle that?
@alejandrocruzac5219 Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Honestly I would at first tell them that i would need them to either add the stop into the app so that i get paid for the extra driving and time or i would say is it okay if I just end your ride and drop you off at your stop and let you order another ride because I don't want to not follow the rules of the app. It would depend on how they responded on how i would react from there. That's another reason i always filmed my rides incase something crazy ever happen.
What are you using to record your rides?
@Faith in Humanity Thanks for watching and leaving a comment i was using a cell phone. (Galaxy S 22 Ultra) it has a great camrea but i was going to get a dashcam if i would have continued doing Lyft.
I'm using the Rove R3 and it's pretty amazing.
What kind of car are you diving ?
@phsycopiano I was using a 2014 Honda Accord not the best vehicle for Lyft but also wasn't the worst. You lose a little bit of gas mileage but you gain extra space in the vehicle so it's a bit more comfortable to drive compared to a smaller more gas efficient vehicle. Can disability people use a lyft app for transportation to go to the shelter about adult abuse,when people call 211,I'm living with disability.

I do apologize but I could not give you an accurate answer to that question hopefully someone else can and will leave a comment on your comment. I suggest just looking at multiple different sources online and see if most of them give you the same answer
I drive for Uber since May 14th 2022....
@Matthew Vance thats awesome ya doing Lyft/Uber isn't a bad gig I normally do Handyman work but I just started my business in March 2021 so i don't always have full time work i just started using Lyft on my slow days it's definitely not a bad way to meet people and learn your city more.
I do it to find people who might want handy man services. Just landed a 3500$ painting job.

You really should put a phone mount in your car so you're not holding phone while driving and not looking down when driving so unsafe
@orliamir2251 I really appreciate the concern your always welcome to send me a phone mount if your worried something bad will happen. Unfortunately even with a phone mount people still tend to stare at there phones way to long and cause wrecks idk if a mount will make that big a difference but I'll keep that in mind 👍 Thanks for watching and showing support with your comment.
