GPS is a type of radio signal that needs a special radio to receive. GPS radio functionality is not directly tied to 4G/5G however it is often related simply because 4G/5G chips are much more premium than Wi-Fi only radio chips, so while devices with 4G/5G pretty much always have GPS radio, Wi-Fi only devices do not by default include GPS radio, though they CAN have it. with the addition of such "Dedicated GPS" chip to a Wi-Fi only device it can now receive location data directly from GPS satellite, just like ( the more expensive ) 4G/5G devices can. since GPS radio is physical hardware that costs money ( a chip, or part of a chip ) and not all devices have it - makes sense to advertise it as a selling point. how useful it is to have - i don't know.
@@g1981c Thank you very much for the information. I asked because I'm going to buy a laptop like the one in the video, and the configuration I bought comes with that thing called dedicated GPS. So does it mean that I will be able to view GPS maps on my laptop, like on a handheld GPS device?
It's been more than 15 years that I've been asking for the donation of such a machine and not even Getac sends me the following message: "You poor wretch, go to work, this machine is for those who have money". The representative here in Brazil doesn't even read my messages.
After 10 years, they are still sticking to the 16:9 display. Moreover, now that Qualcomm chips are here for windows, one can make a more efficient rugged laptop. I am not sure if Qualcomm chips can be run like M1 without a fan? If so, there will be no need for ventilation as well.
So much power, in the palm of my hand xd
Where can it be purchased in the USA or Europe by a private person?
I have a v110 g2 and im trying to figure out how to get the smart card reader

What’s wrong with 16:9?
It's just not good for every software. @@MichaelBurkhalter
