Great that you're using all of your restored tools to make something even if you think it's unnecessary it's still really cool. Just a tip I learned growing up, if you're keeping it by your bedside at night be sure to put a long sock on it, this way if you swing and they grab it, they're only left with a sock and you get another swing :)
Or you use a teeball bat and are close enough to clock them with your off hand. The Captain Insane-O move is highly effective in a home defense situation.
Absolute Beast of a thing. Would be a great bat to warm up with. I bet it would build you up too. Swinging a regular bat would be like thin air after ½ an hour throwing that monster around. 👊😂 Excellent work sir.
@donkey ass reviews and do's how would he have corked it? if you read the video title the thing is SOLID aluminium. not like those baseball bats you find in a store. it's a single freaking piece of aluminium. that's also why in the description he makes a point of saying it was really heavy. because it's made of solid aluminium, which is pretty heavy
@donkey ass reviews and do's well that's obviously true, however the entire bat is solid aluminium, so there's no real way to put cork inside it. it's not made in two pieces and hollow, the whole thing is a single cast of aluminium.

You should check your circular saw blade! It's either for "cross wood" (?) or dull (burned out the wood). And it's a lil bit deep. The ground of the tooth must come out of the wood. Greetings from a wood worker ;-)
Greetings. I stumbled upon your comment and was wondering. The burn marks on the wood was due to what reason? I'm asking because I experienced the same issues to. My blade is brand new but each time I ran a wood through, it'll come out with burn marks. Hope to hear from you soon. Novice woodworker.
@@blazejake6519 Hi Blaze. Check the teeth of the blade. They can cut cross the wood or along the fiber. They are also different kind of them on a blade. Check the sum of the teeth. To be fair, smashing bricks like that is pretty easy, I could get a similar result with a normal claw hammer. It's a lot more challenging when they're laid in a wall.
Ok, so I'm a huge sword, axe, whatever guy. I have a pretty big collection, including Leithreit Norse sword, a lowlander claymore, and an Irish Ringsword, so I do love swords, and the like. That said, I've always felt that based solely on their ease of use, and simple concept that aluminium baseball bats are the most versatile, and useful of modern melee weapon options. So this is a really cool project to me! I think though, and this may be why you were at such a loss with it, that they are supposed to be hollow, making them extremely lightweight. Though, I bet that this one you've made could withstand a LOT more punishment over time. P.S. I don't give a crap about Baseball (or sports) much either.
Putting a riser on top of the thick part of the bat could have prevented the little bit of shrinking that you got. Then just chop it off after on the bandsaw and file/sand smooth on the lathe.
hello I was going to ask you the name of the sand you used for the cast and I read the first comment. it's usually impossible in these types of videos to know what was used and how, so I was impressed with how you explained everything in the description ... I don't know if others do it but it was very useful ... sorry for the english by google translator and congratulations again✌✌
OK now either: Somehow drill alternating holes through the top, make some custom nails and fit them perfectly in so you've got the world's scariest nailbat... OR Wrap a big, tightly wound knob of fiber tape on the very end and make yourself a modern maul. In fact, wrap that handle in fiber tape and you've got the aesthetic down.
Careful if you're hitting anything with real resistance behind it (concrete wall, tree trunk). Non-extruded aluminum tends to have weird weak points from uncontrolled cooling that can lead to breaks in unexpected ways. What was the wood you used for the form by the way? It seemed really hard for the saw to chew through. A hardwood?
