Of course you're a big help, Greg! A treasure trove of Casio communication; the one who went to the Fort Collins Atomic Tower and returned with the Casio Commandments of Multi-Band 6! Hey, in this crazy world we're currently living in, I just tune in to hear your voice and absorb the joy you radiate when discussing your Casio collection. Such passion is always endearing, no matter the subject - but I do also learn a lot of Casio wisdom. I still only have one G-Shock (and several mechanicals of various brands), but there's no doubt that if I were to buy another Casio, I'll be looking for your 2 cents on the model! (& to see how many versions of it exist). Keep up the good work, man. If the asteroid ever hits, I have no doubt that you'll somehow be broadcasting a Multi-Band 6 signal for the rest of us! Cheers! 🎉
The 106s are really hard to find in Southeast Asia. I had to order from Amazon US. Thanks again for bringing the metal bracelet variation to my attention. Locally, I only saw the metal bracelet variant on the 107s. I really like the fish logo. So, thanks again ❤
Good guide, thanks! All I can say is that though it's not "certified" (which would only add to the cost), Casio's word is gold. Best true diver's watch in the market, period. Ok, caveat "affordable".
106's have nearly doubled in price online here since the 107 came out. Online there are also sellers on Amazon trying to pass MDV-10's off as 107's, had to send one back.
Could you make a video explaining how you choose your watch for the day and how you pair it with your other EDC gear (e.g. multitool, flashlight, wallet etc)? Thanks
typing from 29th Nov 2024, black Friday, the "pepsi" mdv106 with the metal bracelet strap is 86 singapore dollars on Amazon, so still around there, 65 usd... but it's tagged as black friday! just to make you feel like you're getting it at a discounted price? didnt know amazon practiced that kind of marketing as well 😀
I don't know about that. I didn't see any sign of brass when I opened the case to change the battery. ua-cam.com/video/Pnpiz87dgHc/v-deo.htmlsi=72CeAE3Oie4SWrnr
@@GoodTimekeeper ok! thanks for answering. I discovered this channel recently and am enjoying the content. I’m a big fan of solar+multiband Casios so this channel is perfect. 👌
There’s an entire class of expensive watches called “High Accuracy Quartz” which can maintain accuracy such as plus-or-minus 5 seconds per year. Casio doesn’t offer that technology. Instead, Casio offers watches which use Wave Ceptor or Multiband atomic time reception to maintain accuracy. Some models also maintain accuracy by synchronization through a Bluetooth connection to a smart device. Some Casios are also available with GPS receivers for accurate time corrections. The most budget friendly analog quartz Casios with highly accurate timekeeping would be Wave Ceptor watches, but they only stay highly accurate when they are within range of atomic time transmitters in the northern hemisphere. Those watches typically cost around $100 and they have small digital LCDs on their faces. ua-cam.com/video/eaYnDScFT-M/v-deo.htmlsi=vXlksHKvDFRgE05G
Great synchronization of the seconds hands.

Nice collection! The green one is Hulk.
Could you please say metal bracelet name you installed on a black and blue watch?
Don’t know if it’s just me but the blue version looks slightly more legible at a glance ?
Very nice collection 👍🏻
Question. What is the dial diameter
are they silver coated over a brass case?
