I really liked this guide. Watched another one recently and this was far more extensive, looking into better synergies, etc and I really liked the 'pop quiz' near the end for what to look out for from your opponent. I'm pretty new to the game and hope to surprise some of the guys on Friday. Thanks!
Don't be afraid to ask for help when you're building your deck. Prereleases are meant to be low-key, fun events and it's not against the rules to get a little bit of help. Good luck!
Thanks so much for this! I’ve gone to several prereleases since All Will Be One, but have never done very well. Hopefully the knowledge from this is enough to turn the tides for me this Sunday!
I'm high on it because of the deathtouch activated ability. The risk you take with mana dorks is they're useless once you've deployed your stuff and they're really bad top decks. This one is at least acceptable in the late game, getting to trade off for something better.
Im fairly confident your incorrect about tokens tiggering descend. They count as permanents and for the sake of rules text they do see the graveyard before the cease to exists
@@ethanleggat1282 yes that is true. But if you recall from eldraine with the role tokens, those role tokens DID count as enchantments going to your graveyard for the sake of cards like "warehouse tabby" triggering. I'm sorry but I still think your incorrect
@@StephenAldrich-r5zdoesn’t tabby say enchantment , not enchantment card . which is what I believe is what makes this rule finicky and will probably need to be clarified by judges at events
@@ethanleggat1282 it only refers to enchantments, of which the role tokens were enchantments. Also several cards that check for creatures dying are able to see tokens for the trigger so this shouldnt be different
@@StephenAldrich-r5zThe reminder text for Descent specifically says "(You descended if a permanent card was put into your graveyard from anywhere.)" The key word there being *card.* Tokens are not cards, and therefore do not count towards descending. The reason why roles in WoE triggered Warehouse Tabby, is because Tabby says "Whenever an enchantment you control..." If the Tabby had said "Whenever an enchantment CARD you control...", it would not have interacted with roles.
Such an underrated channel the quick guides for sets are something I look forward to every time
Thank you!
I am literally so excited to play with Tinker's Tote. What an incredible card.

Amazing video, thanks for the help!

Update: Got three wins out of four matches! Best I’ve done yet. I made a black white descend artifact deck splashing red for removal.
Congrats, nice job!@@malachifreedman3975
Great guide! I like the combat trick part the most. Maybe do a whole guessing game video on it, some players might find it useful to memorize it ;-)
I like this guy, nice video.
Thx for the guide!
This was great, thanks!
Crafty sound pretty impractical but fun.
Those discover land are a must
If craft is good, this format will be a blast
I have heard conflicting things about the mana dork frog. Some say it’s great others say it sucks. Idk how to evaluate it.

Im fairly confident your incorrect about tokens tiggering descend. They count as permanents and for the sake of rules text they do see the graveyard before the cease to exists
However cards and tokens are differentiated by rules text even if both are permanents
