Great information on the mag pouches..
Great guy, great American company, great product, great video 🫡
Great Intell thanks.
"if you have fired 30 rounds, they already know you are there" Yeah, Velcro noise wont matter at this point.
Everyone is deaf at that point😂
Been wanting OD Patrol pouches but they’ve been OOS for forever :P
Because people don’t buy them when we make them. People by OD so little mills that make the materials have stopped making it.
@@SOEtacticalgear is it a once-in-a-while kind of thing or a basically discontinued?
Any gear video from you is a must watch even if I have no use for the product. I just like your videos!
thanks man.
These updated overview vids of your gear are on point.
I second that, yes on point.
I agree. I would also like to see a slow description of each pattern also. The only one I know for sure is MarPat because it is apparently invisible, silent, and deadly. I’ve never seen it, never heard it, but it is probably about to kill me right now.
@@kd2rdhlarry571 Beware the MarPat....
This is what drew me into buying gear, modernizing, and improving what I already had. I’m doing a post 25 year upgrade on gear, tactics, and training. Actually, I should stand up a Museum ‘O Old gear. Great design, quality, from John and family at SOE, has brought me back into modernity. I also use a lot of the other gear for everyday use. Toolage in particular. Can’t have enough tool bags. Med shit, never thought about that much. Now, I’m getting it. Y’all should, too.
John, Thanks for the full explanation of the SOE pouches.
John, like these type videos explaining the pieces of gear. Will help guys know what pieces to purchase for their desired setup.
Right on! which gear should we do next?
@@SOEtacticalgear - Don't know how many videos you have made on other gear, saw the micro rig video and this one which gives me a better idea what to order to build the set-up I want. FYI - Like the inspirational videos telling people to get off their lazy ass if they want anything in life! That's been my response for years when people make comments like "it must be nice" to have a good life. My day starts at 3am 7 days a week, average 100+ hrs per week working. That's how people get shit done!
haha! Don't provide Malice clips etc because anyone who uses this stuff should already have a bunch sitting around. That is so true. I have so many malice clips laying around I'm actually a little shocked. All your vids are great but I especially appreciate these kind where gear is highlighted and explained.
John I absolutely love you going over the old school gear in these vids, please keep them coming. I would love to see them mounted in the vids too, if your looking for suggestions.
Right on man. Thanks for the input.
Close up on that sewing is really well done! Nice gear!
OH BOY the close-ups, the stitching quality and uniformity. NICE, as always thank you.
Very informative. Clear, complete, concise explanation of the variations. Thanks for taking the time to do so!
Thanks for the new video.
Love my rallyman pouch's
John, these videos are fantastic. Love hearing about how stuff came about as well as intended use and demonstration.
Just bought 2 visors from this guy, I received 1 but without explanation about when the second one would be coming. After finally receiving a series of condescending replies after asking when when it would arrive I was then told to “fuck off”. The visors are overpriced at $US85 and the fact that I was spoken to like a piece of dirt speaks volumes about this dude. With everything going on in the world and people being hard hit by Covid you’d think customer service would be paramount. Clearly this guy does not give a shit about anyone including his own business.
Will the Rallyman pouch fit a pair of 40 round PMAGS coupled together with a Magpul MagLink?
Just ordered a pair of rallyman pouches. All of my SOE gear is without peer. Cant wait for these to come in!
Those highlander mag pouches are straight fucking fire yo!
John, your gear is bomb proof!
I have a few of all those.
Any chance of getting a m4/ak micro rig style mag pouch made? Single, with elastic loops on the bottom, pals on both sides and pals mount?
Great stuff!
The rallyman pouches are fucking awesome.
Bomb proof gear made in America, in the great state of Tennessee. What more
could you ask for? Not sure how I missed this video. BLTN
My SOE belt is like 2-3 years old and is still like brand new. I wear it all day every day in a metal shop. Only reason I want a new one is for a color change.
awsome. we can make that happen. most belts are shipping same or next day.
Ordered patrol mag pouch right after this video came out. Hoping for one of those awesome emails soon. Can’t wait to get it on a carrier. Everything SOE makes is top quality and worth the wait.
Apparently, I found out the Rallyman will also hold 3 AK mags fine. There may be a slight tight fit, but it does work well. Regardless, it's one of the best built pouches I've bought. Also work well as an IFAK pocuh if used with an insert.
the rallyman should hold 2 ak mags not three. are you saying that you in fact use yours to hold 3 ak mags?
@@SOEtacticalgear Yeah, I've used it with 3 AK mags and no issues yet.
I kind of see the open top mag pouches as more of a training class mag pouch, rather than an operational pouch, but I'm not an operator so I don't know anything.
Herb Halstead There’s a place for both. The big deal is retention; if an open top mag pouch doesn’t have retention, it’s for very quick access and short term stowage of mags. Add a kydex retention device or a bungee and it’s just about as good as a covered pouch. Everyone should have both and know how and when to use them. That’s the beauty/purpose of MOLLE/PALS: adjusting your kit for your operation.
Can you do a vid on other mag pouches like the triple shingle pouches and the DA gen II mag pouches?
#Legit
Would you recommend these pouches over the micro rig to direct mount to a plate carrier?
One thing I’m unclear on is the belt attach. Does your 2” duty belt have matching Velcro inside?
has opposing velcro. so it mates.
I'd love to see the 3 (triple) Single Mag rifle Shingle with Velcro closer. Any plans of making those in the future?
we did for a decade. no one bought them.
@@SOEtacticalgear that's a bummer. Especially since they are already velcro lined.
John Kranz I’ve often wondered. Seems like a good idea on a plate carrier.
@@TheSteelArmadillo I run 2 plate carriers. 1 is loaded down, the other is light and slick. The triple mag pouch is perfect for light and slick. I just prefer the velcro closer to keep the dirt out and they are less prone to get hung up on things.
You know they make 30 rd 308 AR10 mags genius. Dude I train people in weapons tactics and running and gunning and this style of pouches is becoming obsolete with style plate carriers everyone is moving to now. Your behind the power curve.
Buen trabajo amigo, estoy poco a poco aprendiendo sobre este oficio saludos desde Chile
