Everyone forgets that AC Revelations has it's own version of Ezio's Family by Lorne Balfe and Jesper Kyd titled: "Everything Changes" if you haven't listened to it already, you should!
Even the people who know this forget that there's yet another version of Ezio's Family in Revelations that plays when you find Altair in the library. As far as I know this piece is not in the official soundtrack, but someone has ripped it under the name "Requiescat in Pace, Altaïr" and it's beautiful. What I love about Revelations' use of the theme, unlike all the other uses of it, is that it's a *very* subtle leitmotif. It's used sparingly but wisely, and in ways where it doesn't overbear the rest of the music. So many of the other games just use it as cheap hype music with no meaning. Revelations is very careful with how it uses Ezio's Family.
Odyssey's version is pretty bad. Not only because the pitch is a little too high, but because you have to hear it *every single time* you open the menu. It becomes seriously grading after a few hours of hearing it.
I had a debate with a friend like a week ago about which version was the best and my Top 5 came out to Rogue, AC2, Origins, Shadows and Valhalla but then we just listened to each version we could find(didn't listen to Identity) and agreed that each version was great and that choosing a top 5 was very difficult, thought AC2, Rogue and Origins were a fixed top 3.
I got very bored a few months ago and made my own ranking. 1. Assassins Creed 2/B/R (Ezio’s Family) 2. Assassins Creed Rogue (Main Theme) 3. Assassins Creed Origins (Ezio’s Family) 4. Assassin Creed Mirage (Ezio’s Family) 5. Assassins Creed 3 (Main Theme) 6. Assassins Creed India (Main Theme) 7. Assassins Creed Syndicate (Family) 8. Assassins Creed Odyssey (The Flight) 9. Assassins Creed Unity (Ezio’s family) 10. Assassins Creed Valhalla (Ascending to Valhalla) 11. Assassins Creed Shadows (Ezio’s Family) 12. Assassins Creed China (Main Theme) 13. Assassins Creed Russia (Main Theme) (Certain tracks listed aren’t based on Ezio’s family but use the motif so that is in place of games that don’t have their own definitive Ezio’s family (e.g. AC3 doesn’t have an Ezio’s family but its main theme is played almost counterpoint to the family motif).
AC Odyssey's version was so overused in this game that it made me become a little bit bored with Ezio's Family. I like what AC Shadows did to this song, giving it "the old cinema" vibe, but I can't see yet how's it's gonna be used in the game. If whole game goes for this vibe - I'm all for it.
When the mirage version plays during the scene where basim is realizing the flaws of the creed, it felt powerful to me

That's so true❤
@@funtrailers I just gave it a listen it’s incredible!
@@willismakesmovies It mixes Ezio's Family with little snippets of Revelations Main Theme, ironically titled the: "Assassins Creed Theme"

Origins is my favourite but I don't think there's a bad version of Ezio's Family.

1:41 you describe it very well, I couldn’t agree more
Rogues always had a soft spot for me the uniting themes of the assassins and Templar’s in the music and the vocals are always great
Crazy how much it all depends on personal taste, for me the shadows one didn’t hit as hard for me, while for you it was the opposite.
did the mirage version dirty lowkey
Origins is my favourite but but the main theme for origins is better imo, and return of the medjay, absolute bangers
I want a metal version of ezios family

I love Valhalla's version. That soundtrack is so peak imo
Valhalla one i found to be very underrated 🇮🇳🙏
24:34 sounds too Italian renaissancey for the other settings I guess
To me Chariot Chase is my favorite soundtrack of AC 2.
Hello brother, I know this has nothing to do with the video, but can you tell me how to get Altair's hood costume in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood?
The robes are a reward for when you prebought the game, I think

You look good in that hat, also my favourite one is in Valhalla because of the ethereal vibes
