I watch videos like this...and I simply say to myself "yeah there's plot holes in the overall story....but it's not hard to follow". Great job writing up your script for this. Extremely detailed and well articulated. Super excited for Shadows!!! Happy New Year.
Thank you so much for this cool ass video! I know it took a lot to make and I appreciate it and all the videos you have posted but this was big. Have a drink on me my man.
I genuinely liked where the ancient trilogy went, telling us more about WHY the conflict is happening and WHAT exactly we are fighting over is so good. They definitely have their issues though, cant wait to get back to the Assassins story in Shadows
This has to be the best AC timeline explained video I’ve seen so far. Concise yet very thorough and detailed, great video. Happy new year as well, keep serving the light.
Just want to point out something. Eivor's full name is Eivor Varinsdottir. Dottir, in the language they would speak at the time, means "daughter of". So Eivor would be Eivor daughter of Varin. Kinda knew she was going to be canon from the start. Just to say this also, if the male had been canon, Eivor's name would be Eivor Varinsson, or Eivor son of Varin.
Wow, amazing Video! The depth of research, the clarity of your presentation, and the effort you put into making it so enjoyable were truly remarkable. Happy New Year! 🎇🎉
Perfect timing for those who have been living under a rock, and who knows maybe the new ac will help promote a 3 hour video of explaining the lore dope video tho loved every bit
Awesome Work Man, wished you would have mentioned some more stuff from the comics and novels tho, especially Edward Kenways story in South East Asia in AC Forgotten Temple
I have been waiting for a vid like this for so long! But one thing that I can't get out of my mind is that wasn't Sigurd in Valhalla kind of made out to be the reincarnation of Tyr? With the missing arm, and him talking about being a god?
Hey man love your Videos a lot! Just wanting to ask if you can cover the subject 0-15. think it also is interesting to see how the earlier Animus Experiments went before 16
Going to be honest, I feel like it says a lot about Ubisoft that they were never did anymore trilogies focused around a single ancestor like with Ezio. He truly was the peak
This was very well done. I wish there was information about the comic plot lines as well, as it is very much canon and is referenced in the games. The 3 year gap between syndicate and origins was covered by such comics and featured the assassin’s and Templars eventually teaming up to defeat third party that was able to resurrect Juno. They stopped the Instruments of the First Will and killed Juno for good. Also, Desmond’s son was featured in the comics, he is also a sage, and was last seen walking in the Australian outback with the Koh-i-noor diamond which happens to be one of the most powerful pieces of Eden. So actually a lot happened during that three year gap lol, but I can understand wanting to stick to the storyline of the games. Still, well done!
@ yeah, I figured. I just thought I’d share a little info if there were some people who were unaware of what else occurred. I used to be up-to-date on all things AC, but I have not kept up with many recent novels, manga, comics, etc since becoming a father 3 years ago lol. I’d love to play Nexus VR, but I don’t own a meta quest.
Wait, the first kill we know of the first hidden blade happens before the war with Persia. That's crazy I think you made a mix-up. Since how old is that old man to live from then to when kassandra was alive.
So what do the isu actually look like? Because they portray themselves to the protagonist depending on their background? For example, Desmond was Italian, so hence Minerva, and eivor saw Nordic gods. And what about that part where you can hear ezios voice in the portal because she was addressing the future in the oden sequence? She was a johten but ezio saw roman God.
great video, just wondering: what was the explanation behind the animus glitches in origins, and were the egyptian gods isu? also were the events from the curse of the Pharaohs dlc isu related? i have the same questions about odyssey’s Atlantis and afterlife dlc’s
1:21:16 "pretty cool escape" is his father, Haytham. You can find it in "AC Forsaken" book by Oliver Bowden. This book is actually a journal of Haytham which covers a lot before AC 3 and AC Rouge 1:33:56 Mr. Green is actually a son of the Arbaaz, the protagonist of AC Chronicles India. You can find it in the book b "AC Underworld" by the same author (it is actually a history of Mr. Green)
I'm not trying to go into every specific. I said "pretty cool escape" to get to the point. If I covered every little detail of how events happened, the video would be over 10 hours long. It's a timeline video sir, not a story recap. Also i'm confused with what your intention is with this comment. I've not made any mistakes so what's going on?
@TheHiddenOne690 just thought that those details are worth mentioning, nothing, more :) Really liked the video, that's for sure. Maybe cover somehow some recent books and comics while we wait for Shadows?
Sorry, just wanted to point what am I talking about, nothing more :) Also, if you didn't try these books, you should really give them a try. The story of Jennifer Scott (daughter of Edward Kenway) is truly heartbreaking. It is covered in AC3 and, surprisingly, AC Unity novels. Don't waste time on novels for AC1 and Ezio trilogy, as those simply retell the games. And all later books are expanding the games a lot
50:10 Agreed. That’s why Altair is the greatest Assassin to have ever come in the franchise. His legacy and impact has the been the biggest and longest lasting compared to any other Assassin (including Ezio) in a single lifetime.
Narration: "Altair overthrew Abbas peacefully..." Video: "Use the gun to kill Abbas." I have no idea why, but this was stupidly hilarious to me. XD That said, less than half way through and this is an amazing video so far. I've seen a few that try to do the games in release order, but this chronological order makes a lot more SENSE so far since it's less jumping around and more order of events. Now, back to the video!
Haha i can see why that's a bit strange. It's more so how he avoided unnecessary bloodshed by just taking out abbas and that was it. That kind of peaceful :)
Now that I've finished it: WOW Wow wow. Wow. Wow. Very good work, my man! And man, the story isn't even necessarily over yet. That's...kind of crazy. Not that Ubisoft is consistently...uh...good with it. But when it strikes gold, the story does.
While the main alternate timeline version of events isn’t canon both Connor & George did mentally experience it & the encounter in the forest where they discovered the piece of eaden did happen. like how Ezio used the apple to experience possible futures off screen if he didn’t act on suspicions about the Templar’s..
Also I consider the crossovers between watch_dogs & Assassin’s Creed to be canon since the reason why Ubisoft has refused to commit to any kind of shared game universe is because of the uncertainty of the state of their entire company given how the stability of their business always seems to remain in flux & never certain. So Ubisoft’s been making sure every that every time they make a new game in any given franchise they frame it in such a way where it could be considered their last just in case their company goes under & the ground staff devs don’t wanna leave any loose story threads to leave the players hanging. While it’s understandable that for this reason they rather not narratively write themselves into a corner with pre planned multiple upcoming projects that could end up not actually coming to fruition & having to spend the next few entries cleaning up the mess of their cancelled projects they just made while they’re also trying to move on to the next project. In my opinion if they were making these projects Crossover in the first place then they should at least commit to making them all Canon. Especially when they’ve been very much well received & in this specific case it does Assassin’s Creed no harm to make watch_dogs canon since the watchdogs franchise has been completely abandoned anyway & it’s overall inclusion does enrich the overall AC Franchise with a new set of games.. Also it gives Ubisoft *an out* to not bother making an official modern day AC game since not just one but a whole trilogy of Moderately Successful Modern AC Games technically already exists..
Kinda feel like they should revisit the Persona idea from Liberation. Felt like a great way to evolve the gameplay but it was stuck on a low budget portable title.
After watching this entire video my theory and understanding about this entire AC universe alligned with yours too but some of them raised a confusion I'll ask one by one below, before that A huge salut for making this video🫡 1. Is Aletheia from odyssey related to basim's lover in valhalla or the one in vallhalla is reincarnation ? 2.After playing valhalla what i understood was odin and his bros and sis were humans like adam and eve who weren't affected by isu artifacts so during catastrophy they uploaded there consciousness to the machine so that they keey reincarnating throughout the upcoming era's. then later they were born as Norse gods and again in vallhalla as eivor, sigurd, valka and basim. after watching this video im confused about this. 3. What was in the precursor box which was given to Shao jun then appeared in rogue and again in russia? recently i read a reddit post in that a guy explained why valhalla is perfect ending for desmond timeline or era that is AC1 till mirage and a fresh start for present day story in AC shadows which was confirmed recently by Ubisoft. back to the reddit poat "Minerva told Desmond at the end of Brotherhood: "There is one who would accompany you through the gate. She lies not within our sight...Only she remains to be found". Desmond "died" without finding anyone. The "she" was Layla." after reading this post my theory is desmond and layla is like present day/timeline adam and eve.🤔
Im goad you as s true AC fan is making this video i saw someone make a AC lore video and they stright up skipped over key points because he didnt like them in the story or that he felt they wernt important wgen it left more questions tgat would have been awnserd if he hadn't skipped over them
Given that you made an almost 2 hour video, you could've just added the Watch dogs games to it, for the sake of completion (unless they decanonise the links between the two series).
My lore is that Layla meets the reader and you shut down the game so the story ends. Like with shenmue it looks like story will not be finished and just like with shenmue 3 where if you shut down the game before the last 2 cutscenes you can actually have an end to the story in ac you can do the same with Valhalla and the last cutscene. In Shenmue 3 Lan Di ended up dying in the fire and in Valhalla just shut down the game before the Basim waking up scene and story has an ending. You can just pretend that Layla is the Eve that 16 mentioned. I also have a feeling that shadows might be the end for the whole franchise. Last time I felt that way about a game was when certain series had a game come out called saints row and it ended up killing the whole company.
I will never forgive ubisoft for making unity a love story and not Arno going after Shay fir killing hills father or even trying to do anything with shay after rogue

I remember I was explaining the ac timeline to one of my date she said she was so hook on me explaining it that she wanted to try the game herself
Did it get you a second date or did she run of playing ac by herself?

@@Grandtemplar305 bro is literally prime ezio

Literally thought the same thing lmao
Nice time for a 1 hour and 53 minute break from work lol
I seen this I was like it’s a good time to take my break
That speech ezio gives at the end of relevations always breaks my heart especially because he takes his end with such grace
Who is hyped to play ac shadows next year ? I sure am aslo mr hidden one you got me back into this series with your vids thank you for that

3:38 those hybrids occurred due to an interbreeding, as stated in AC Odyssey. There are some notes about it in Atlantis, if I'm not mistaken

There is nothing wrong with the hidden blade being before the assassins because in origins Bayek was given the blade. So makes sense
Jade could be a DLC in assassin creed shadow when china infrtraits japan and they meet up random in the night. Gosh that would be great

The smuggler can be found de@d in a remote location after Bayek gives him the artifact suggesting that it was stolen.
RIP SMUGGLER
I came here confused at AC full timeline and after i finish watching the video i can safely say that i am still confused
Is it worth buying assassin's creed syndicate now at sale on steam?

Wait, did you include Assassin's Creed Nexus? I got to Ezio's story and realised I didn't hear anything about it

I did see those big corpo channels making timeline videos but it didn't feel right knowing someone that hasn't played AC was narrating over it.

Funny thing actually shadow is going to release on Valentine's Day so I guess I know what I'm doing on that day
Is ac origins worth it ? It's on sale on the ps store
I love this franchise
1:38:15 exact same timeline of Clyde Blackburn from Battlefield 1
