- This week we finally address the windows! We give them a fresh coat of paint, spray paint the window hardware black, and install curtains on all the windows! Finding the right curtains took longer than we would have hoped haha, but we are so happy with the end result and hope you like it too! Let us know your thoughts!

Great channel…I really enjoy your videos - its fun to see different approaches and toolsystems compairing to Europe (I live in Denmark)…I noticed that you use alot of philips screws and I was wondering if people in the US never uses Torx screws? I find it alot more easy to use and reduces the risk of damaging the screws head like on the traditional Philips screws, so I’m just curious if Torx are not as common?

Thank you so much for watching!! I do prefer torx screws, but I would say phillips is the most common screw in the US (used to be flat head). But I try to use torx when I can. My favorite screws are GRKs

I'm not too into the curtains. I would either leave it as it was or blinds if you really need it to be closed
We love the look of curtains as they make the room feel taller, but blinds work great too

Did they caulk the windows since they are older? Please caulk them. This should help improve the heat insulation and it is not a super expensive change.
Wouldn't it have made more sense to replace the windows? They are old wood windows with single pane glass likely original to the house. The insulating values are awful.

We wish we could replace them, but replacing all the windows in the home would cost upwards of $40k and we don't have that in the budget currently
