I did the same resonator delete and xpipe install on my GLK350 (same engine) I was also a little disappointed with outcome. cold start does sound nice, at first i could hardly tell a difference but after a month or two it seems that it has become a little louder and more noticeable. I can really tell when I hear my wife take off in the morning. Our benz's are really well insulated from outside noises. I expected something louder but paired with an aftermarket intake it does sound better. good video. Btw i went to a local muffler spot, they made a custom xpipe and charged me $200 for install, I did not do stainless because I switch cars often and usually dont keep a car past 2 years.
Appreciate the review. I first tested mine without mufflers solely and after two weeks I went back to stock due to raspiness around 2500 rpm (added quad tips then) I was for sure going to go X-Pipe next, but I may reassess due to your honest review.

Of your worried about being pulled over because of sound them leave the car alone plain and simple. The resonators are there for a reason.
It does sound good from outside. I think there's just a lot of sound deadening material on a Mercedes Benz so inside the cabin, you're not hearing as much. If someone wanted more, I guess they could always install performance mufflers. I seen a video of a straight piped C350 and it was way way too loud. I personally love the way exhaust sounds in this video. I just think it's something to the effect of you'd have to roll your windows down to experience the sound a little more in the Mercedes :-)

Is there any difference in sound vs performance in having the x pipe on the muffler side vs further up where the resonator used to be? Yours is the first I’ve seen on the muffler side.
Great video. I've got an 03 clk500. I want an X-pipe, add a pipe for duals and I was thinking Flow Masters and those bad ass tips. I was probably going to cut the other side but really don't want to mess it up. Can I use a rear bumper from an AMG model that already has the dual cut-outs ?
Flowmasters are chambered mufflers, it will give you more of a hollow sound, remember about it ;) If that's what you want to achieve, then feel free to do so. If you want something else, don't go for Flowmasters. When it comes to the bumper, I'm not sure if CLK55 AMG had dual cut outs, from what I remember it has still a single exhaust exit.
The only time that you notice it is during cold starts. There is absolutely nothing wrong with changing out the resonator there is no computer that is going to read that. The big No-No is the catalytic converter since most states require them for emission standards you should not touch them. Removing the cats can make the vehicle sound significantly different and much louder. But you will also throw a series of error codes
Do you or anyone have a recommendation of exhaust or know the diameter of the stock exhaust for a 2011 Mercedes E350 coupe with the 3.5L V6 petrol engine? Let me know.

Nope
I have a Mercedes c280 v6 amg package 2008 with c63 exhaust only my car don’t have that sound like on your car so is it possible to cut resonator on my car and make the same sound like your car?
@@benyaminmirzai608 yes you can and add an x pipe
Thank you for reading the comment and your recommendation.😊👍🏻
@@RaymondUriasone think only,I can’t find like your stainless tips what you told in this video and I click on the link down below under the video I see only the x pipe link so can you check it please or send that link to me tank you.
I’m not sure about to much about cars but I’m order to put a X pipe on do I have to remove my resonator?
Yes
is this an m271? this sounds amazing
Is there any difference in sound vs performance in having the x pipe on the muffler side vs further up where the resonator used to be? Yours is the first I’ve seen on the muffler side.
Closer to the headers create better scavenging.
When it comes to the bumper, I'm not sure if CLK55 AMG had dual cut outs, from what I remember it has still a single exhaust exit.
is the sound difference significant after installing the xpipe? I read somewhere that meddling with the resonator is a big nono
You need to do a muffler delete to give more noise.
Does the exhaust tips alone make the car louder cause I must wanna put the tips alone for show
Tips are like tits on a bull they are just for show no sound change
Do you or anyone have a recommendation of exhaust or know the diameter of the stock exhaust for a 2011 Mercedes E350 coupe with the 3.5L V6 petrol engine? Let me know.
What’s your opinion on removing secondary cats ? I know a some people that did it and it sounds great with X-Pipe ?
Get rid of them totally worth it
does it throw up a check engine light while having it installed ?
No
If I take the mufflers off, can I always put them back on later down the line?
Yes for more money
Hey ramond, what engine is it? Petrol or diesel? And what volume?
I have a w212 E350 and im thinking to do the same as you did, but only replace with x-uppe and keep the original tip.
Will it sound good?? What do you think?
3 litter petrol. Definitely worth it for the cold starts!
can you please let me know where I can buy those 308 stainless steel tips exacly and that scnd resonator does it have anythink like a sensor going tpo it wanna make sure no engine light will come up
2011 e550
Links are in description. The only sensor on the car is pre and post cats.
new URL for the tips please
The stock 2016 Mercedes GL550 sounds like a duelly without any new exhaust on it
I bet it does with the naturally aspirated 5.5 L V8 what sound like a freaking beast
Its a LUXURY VEHICLE.
Where’d you get the diffuser Raymond
These muffler guys are great.. they do all my mufflers
Hey, so the 'h' style tips fit better than the 'y' style??
If you want it to contour the rear yes
Is this on federal close to the Walgreens? Florida
Yup in Boynton Beach just a click north of Boynton Beach blvd
Raymond Urias I’ve know these guys since I was 12 man now I’m 22😂
Hahahaha that is awesome
Love but take those stock mufflers of especially if you worried about weight.
with the removal of the cat, would you still be able to pass emissions?
I wish! It would be awesome but unfortunately it would fail
@@RaymondUrias thank you, I was unsure but I'm glad to know that now.
Maybe I missed it, but what model/year is this?
Do you need the quad tip exhaust ends?
Nope
That's why you get a 2nd cat delete and x pipe
+eigdf uggggh I know I messed up. I will fix it very soon.
on average how much should the install cost for an x pipe? all i know is that it’s not a long process
$200 given the prices of steel and aluminum could be more...
@@RaymondUrias thanks man
Hey bro, do you have any vid of the car on acceleration with the x pipe? Thinking about the mod but if you're not impressed, I'm thinking twice. Thnx

Go to 8:40
Lol gotta watch past the first 5mins take longer poop
How much did you spend for the installation?
$175 for the install
What size were the exhaust tips ?
This is a good example of when to leave things be and save shit loads of time and cash. In the UK they are looking at all vehicles with modified exhaust due to the ridiculous amount of noise from some of them. I live near a hill and I so it wont come a minute too soon.
Is this a V8?
