Hi Matt, great work again. Just one trick I use to help in keeping the board rock steady during each calibration step is to use a box. I do the first two steps on the desk, then the next four I press the board against the side of a small box, this ensures it is dead straight vertically, as well as my wobbly hands not contributing to fails. Cheers.
Good coverage as always. The very simple way I've heard this process explained is that the FC is a cube (6 sides) and, in each step, you are pointing a new side of the cube towards the ground. The sequence actually doesn't matter as long as each side gets to see the ground.
Hi Mat, thankx for your Inav/omnubus series. Really helpfull! Maybe a bit offtopic. 1 s it true, you can use the Omnibus F4 V2 only for quad en wing. I ran out of output for a rudder and elevator. 2 how far are we in de Inav/Omnibus sage, or is it a naturally flowing thing witout a defined number of topics? Cheers
Howdy Peter Paul, the F4 has 6 PWm outputs, I don't see why you can't use them all. And the playlist below is the best place for the correct ordering, the series is being recorded in stages, sometimes out of order ua-cam.com/play/PLgoM4-umzSqd0clW-e_A12yKiOpV--3a2.html Hope that helps! Matt
thanks for you response Matt, The V1 F4 board has got six pwm outs, but the V2 pro misses the 5v for pwm 5 and 6. So the servo's for rudder and elevator wil not work without the volts. Or do i see something incorrect.
Great video Matt .BUT my V1 board from BG doesn't feature an arrow. I plugged into iNav and got the rear of the board facing to me (USB pointing forward) and started calibration but the screen showed the board turned thru 90 degrees finished calibration and the board finished up the right way round, pwm ports facing forward. Any explanation? Just one further question. Are you going to do an addition to this series please on setting up a fixed wing plane? I notice the wiki has a custom mix for a mini talon but I haven't a clue what to do with it.
Howdy Kevin, if you have a F4 V1 board, then the PWM outputs are at the front of the board. You should always do the 6 point calibration of the board with these being at the front and then change the orientation afterwards, see here github.com/iNavFlight/inav/wiki/Sensor-calibration. As for fixed wing, possibly. But the only difference is 6 servo connections instead of 2, thats all :) Matt
Howdy, your values for the accgain on the CLI tab WILL BE DIFFERENT to mine. This is normal! because every board is different. Also note that this video is part of a "step by step" series of videos on how to use iNav, the FULL playlist is here ua-cam.com/play/PLgoM4-umzSqd0clW-e_A12yKiOpV--3a2.html
Oops Matt, further to my previous comment have just restarted my comp and the board has now turned another 90 degrees , the usb cable is now facing to the rear with the pwm ports on the right.
Hi Matt thanks heaps for these videos; couldn't do without your great efforts; I bought a Chaser and chose the V2 board all was going well with the setup, board working fine with the USB connection just needed to setup the RX and Modes; I plugged in my flight battery a 4s and the board went dead no lights; then tried to connect via USB: just darkness, the current flows through to the ESC plug but that's it; any clues did I do something wrong or is it a faulty board?? Many thanks Adrian
Hi Matt have been looking to get a new Omnibus but Banggod is out of stock, what do think of an Omnibus f7 PRO I am disappointed and would love to get the Chaser flying before Christmas Thanks Adrian
Hi, nice video, I have a problem with my inav flying wing configuration, I am building it with a reptile s800 and spracing f3 fc acro. When I have all configurated, acc perfect calibrated, flight modes etc... In agle and horizon mode arming motor stick up throttle and servo left and right moving alone slowly, but not in acro mode. I have flashed ir wirh diferents versions and I have the same problem. Any ideas? Thank you
I really need help please im stumped. When i roll it pitches and when i pitch up or down it wants to roll. I have it on the bench testing it. I just installed a omnibus f4 pro setup was easy but it dosent want to cooperate with me. I have it on flying wing with the Z84 preset.
Howdy RJ, sounds like one of the servois needs reversing and that you need to double check your receiver movements. Both of these topics are covered in the playlist, see here ua-cam.com/video/wSdX758qfpM/v-deo.html and here ua-cam.com/video/1qTUnFwxCG4/v-deo.html Matt
Hi Mat I have a problem when I try to calibrate the accelerometer and move the board it just losses signal with the pc then connects again then I have to start all over again which I have been trying all day I changed the usb lead and moved it on the pc but same thing any help would be great cheers Great videos mate 👍🏿

Thank you!!! Watched your entire series and only have this step left to do and I'm done. Wish me luck for the maiden next weekend.
Happy Days!

Howdy Ted, yea thats a great way of putting it! Matt
Setting up my naze32 v6. Having a hard "square" case on made this pretty easy.
Hi Matt! So the board would not arm without being calibrated, right? Cheers

Yea you'll need to provide +5V for the servos on the V2 board, Matt
thanks very usefull!

How do I calibrate my ESC that’s already hooked up to my f411-wing board
Howdy fella, just like on a quad, see the motors tab, Matt
