- A month of insomnia and bipolar I is a terrible combination. Learn how good things (being a mental health speaker! doing an interview about my life with bipolar!) gave me insomnia and threatened my bipolar. Always treat bipolar first.

Thank you Jess. I have been getting insomnia during my period for years and it tends to trigger mania and a lot of substance abuse. (My apartment is a wreck right now, too!) But this video brought me a lot of comfort.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Insomnia is so frustrating. You can set yourself up to get sleep, but you can’t force it to happen. I’m so glad my video brought you some comfort.
I feel like I found the Holy Grail by finding your channel, Jess; this video made me cry with gratitude ❤ I don't have the words to express my "relief "😢 People who I know love me; have had enough of my BP. I have had enough of me, but I can't escape. This is my reality. You have thrown me a lifeline, thank you 😅
Best comment ever! Thank you. 🫶🏼 I’ve been having a terrible couple weeks and this really cheered me up. If you’re on Instagram please find me there under ourbipolar. There’s a wonderful bipolar community there. ❤️

I have schizo affective disorder bi polar type but have only mild manic highs sometimes. I can relate to naps ruining your nighttime sleep. I can't ever nap because they are always four or more hours and I cannot change that. You look very tired in this vlog. I should do a vlog because I have thirty years of experience, yes, I've felt bad many ways. I am not on a mood stabilizer and only 10 mg zyprexa and ten mg lexapro but I am very sick or damaged, burnt out, etc. I recently stopped taking a benzo. Keep up the good work.
I am with you 100%. I am bipolar 2 and just starting to "wake up" from a 2 year depression, still not bathing regularly, starting to get sleep again. I enjoyed your video, we are much alike.
Try to avoid the worrying that is never a good thing, sunlight and outside air can be a relief
I don't sleep at all, man
I'm in hyponania I've already taken 3 zolpidem and 20 drops of rivotril and nothing
I think I'm going to spend the night in white anyway
The doctor gave me Lamotrigine 2x a day at 25mg, increase it little by little, but this effect takes a while
I think I'll spend sleepless nights or use Rohydorm, which is the most sedative there is
that's heavy duty! hang in there.
I know how u feel I have severe chronic insomnia too. It’s making my physical health and mental health suffer so much,
Not me watching this hours after bedtime.
❤️❤️❤️
You look beautiful with no make up on.
hi jess i'm bipolar also i really have trouble staying sleep probaly i'm not on the good medication what about you how your sleep doing now
Hi there! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble sleeping. It’s the worst. My sleep has gotten much better since I did this video. This time my insomnia was due to my thyroid levels being off, so as soon as my Synthroid dose was corrected, sleep returned. I also still take Seroquel which has the side effect of helping with sleep. Good luck.

@@ourbipolarwas your thyroid high or low? I’m having thyroid issues too. I’m hypo but when I take any thyroid pills it causes hyper symptoms. So I can’t win it’s like my body can’t store it properly and it gets used up too fast.
I’m sorry to hear that. ❤️ My thyroid level was too high, caused by Synthroid.
