Well that's a fantastic way to start my Friday~ Thank you Raye and that wonderous orchestra for bringing this to my attention and to the world~ Scrumptious!
Just getting started Jock. This whole concert is on BBCI player and its a game changer. She has been through the kind of troubles of Amy described in many songs particually "Mary Jane". Just she is out the other side now. Range power and vocal top of the world but the song writing is a step up from all. She wrote for all the top stars like Beyonce prior to being unleashed solo with her own way of taking over the world. More please Sir ! Live is usually best with RAYE
Raye has fought her own demons and, unlike Amy, has come out the other side. For me she is in a league of her own... Genuine, heartfelt lyrics and just the most stunning voice, range and power. It's time she gets the success she very much deserves. Album of the year at the Brits is a great start. Yiu should check out the medley she performed live at the ceremony.
Great reaction. I really enjoyed it. She is a brilliant live artist. Her debut album covers her struggles leaving her label to become an independent artist, addiction, sexual abuse and mental health. Her Tiny Desk performance is well worth a reaction covering 4 songs from her debut album My 21st Century Blues. Also worth a reaction is Raye’s song The Thrill Is Gone live at the Mercury Prize Awards.
Fabulous reaction I've seen a few reactions to this song, but you're the first person to reference Shirley Bassey and South London grime Maybe I should listen to more British reactors Cheers mate, and you get a follow
Nah. Both incredible British artists but totally separate leagues when it comes to comparisson. Both unique one singing jazz blues whilst the other contemporary blues.

You should react to her Brit awards performance, you get a melody of different songs and genres it really shows off her range

I have a feeling you would also love “snow angel” by renee rapp the live version on snl
If Amy Winehouse and Jessie J merged into one, Raye would be the result!!

So these separate leagues are… the word jazz?
