Pity you don't really get Jimi's brilliance (yet) as a guitarist and as a songwriter. Dig deep into his catalogue because Jimi has incredible songs. The Wind Cries Mary, Purple Haze, Castles Made of Sand, Bold As Love, Freedom, Hey Baby, Little Wing, Dolly Dagger, One Rainy Wish and many many others. Btw, the 15 minute version is completely different. It's a brilliant blues song, featuring Steve Winwood. You are obviously not ready for Jimi. Your loss.

Personally, this song is one of the few I prefer the studio version because the production, while very reserved, absolutely puts the right tension and mood into the right lyrics.

In my opinion, Aaron Dessner coming into her life was the best thing ever. Some of her best music has come from working with him. Just magic.

This video really was for the fans… it blew all our minds when we saw it. I am not any of us embraced the song immediately because it wasn’t anything we were expecting, but the video was mind blowing 🤯…. So many tiny details that we had to watch several times to catch. A big thing is she took all the crap and media criticism etc, embraced it and laughed all the way to the bank.

The thing is, this is not actually a break up song. When she wrote this, she was deep into her relationship with Joe, and in a really good place with him. This about her fear of losing him and what would happen if she did… so actually a love song.

Fun fact: there actually was a true fact in this- Taylor did get a boating license at 15!

I this year is the last year that Jeff Lynn's ELO will be touring. I'm 61 and have been a fan of this group since the early 1970s...wish I could have made it to one of t heir concerts. Never seemed to have the time, the money or even the vehicle to get out of my Idaho town and to some other near by state where they usually would play over the years.

Swiftie here 🫡 but my dad started me on classic rock. I grew up listening to Tom Petty, and the album Wildflowers remains one of my favorites to this day! Free Fallin' is one of his most popular songs, along with Won't Back Down. Both are from Full Moon Fever, same album Runnin' Down a Dream is on. My favorites from Wildflowers are the first five songs 😂 That album is so nostalgic for me! Don't know if you'd like it or not lol

You like a story in a song… country (good country that is), is exactly that. Taylor kept that aspect even as she moved out of country.

I agree with about the ‘tweet it’ line… it’s jarring. It’s like listening to a vinyl with a scratch in on spit that you still listen to, you know the scratch is there but you listen anyway & just try to ignore it 😂

Recommend you go to Wikipedia and look up the album and it breaks down not only who did the writing & producing but all the instruments played on each song and who played them… yes, Aaron did the beautiful piano and guitars, and clearly doesn’t own a snare drum. 😂

Robin - Aaron Dessner’s son. They co-wrote it. I always wondered what a lullaby by Taylor would sound like - now I know. If I had a child… I would be singing it to them to sleep every night.

You did great… I only started to notice the last couple songs that you just seemed like you were getting a little tired but we all did listening to this the first time. It is a LOT to take in at once… we realized that it really took several listens to really ‘hear’ it all and absorb it. It is also an emotionally draining album, so I only figured you were feeling the way we all felt. You did great all things considered.

Unpopular opinion- the two songs I wouldn’t miss (So High School and Alvhemy) are the only two Travis coded songs. Doesn’t speak to him being the best muse. I almost feel like she felt she had to put a song on each one to make her current boyfriend feel better and less threatened by her feelings for Matty.

I really wonder if Matty came back on bended knee, admitted he behaved horribly but said she was right, he was scared, but now realizes how much he can’t imagine his life without her, would she taking him back? Despite Smallest Man, there are definitely hints in several of these songs that she would entertain that. 🧐

I'm not a country music fan myself, but this is simply one of the best songs of all time. Such beautiful writing and orchestration and singing. I love it every time I hear it.

If someone already made a comment about it, sorry, just didn’t see it- but she had two actors from Dead Poets Society in the video (Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles ) and their lab coats had their DPS characters names on them. She frequently includes fun & crazy stuff in her videos.

I think you find some of her best songs are bonus or vault tracks… New Romantics, All Too Well (10 min), Is It Over Now, etc. She definitely doesn’t slack on those extra songs.

One thing I loved about Folkore are all the beautiful outros. She (really Aaron), left a lot of space for the music to shine too. I love Taylor & Jack - they are gold together (she has called him musical family several times), but she and Aaron (who she has called her musical soulmate) are magic together. Big difference is Jack edits & produces what Taylor initially writes, but she writes to track with Aaron and I think her hearing the music he sends her digs deep and raises things to the surface.

Someone tell me how I can love folklore, evermore, TTPD/Anthology and still not like Lana Del Ray? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Her mom had breast cancer, got better, but then got cancer again but in her brain. 😢. We didn’t see or hear from her mom for a long time so I suspect it was a long hard fight. She has been at a few of Taylor’s concerts, but I feel things are different for her since then. Her dad had cancer too, and he too recovered.

I prefer the rock version they did in Osaka 2019 concert, where they didn't have choreo and they were able to be more aggressive on their vocals & run around on stage. It's a great performance.

I think the reason why ARMY is sensitive and have a hard time with sarcasm is because a lot of people have accused BTS of lip syncing quite honestly. Those people just threw around hate and spoke out of ignorance. Both ARMY and BTS have a big amount of humor so if it’s obviously a joke and comes from a genuine appreciation for BTS and the fans, then we will laugh with you. 😊
