I think the music cut at the end adds the affect of abruptness towards the whole mood. Kind of throws the audience off balance because it’s something that comes out of nowhere. The realization of the scene that follows right after. Eminent death. Bokuto inevitably succumbing to his disease, as he clings on to the warm body that managed to create some beautiful yet painful memories. His last memories, before he eventually passes. His hues in his eyes beginning to lose their color and slowly turn dull and lifeless. Just so sudden. So abrupt. Like the music.
Think about this for a second Bokuto was trying to get a good sleep for so long and now he can finally sleep peacefully the only thing is that it would be for a long time... Well now I know how to make myself cry when I'm crying-
