I worked for a boutique hotel back in the day and the buttons technically go at the bottom of the bed! The reason is so that the hard buttons don't hit you while you are sleeping or the gap with the duvet inside doesn't go near you either. You should have just the soft smooth top of the blanket near your face. But because its only you sleeping there, enjoy your duvet how you want!

Just came on here to say buttons do go at the bottom of the bed! Living in the UK we always use duvets and the buttons at the bottom ensures there’s no hard bits by your face 🙃
I love the new bedding, but I did like animal print blanket better than the plain grey. Also, leave the grey pillows in the back instead of changing them to pink. All just my opinion so keep it how you like it..
