take the lid off the dutch oven for the last 10 ish min of cooking to help get it nice and golden. also i know it’s nice to have warm bread but you have to let it cool before you slice it so it can finish cooking inside first!

Hi, Latinx fan here! For Spanish style rice, at least the way my mom and I make it goes like this... 2 normal size tomatoes, 1/4 of an onion, 2 pieces of garlic and throw that in a blender with about a cup or 1/2 a cup of water or for more flavor chicken broth. Set that aside, fry your rice (I normally do about a 1/2 a cup to a cup) in some vegetable oil until golden and continuously stir. Once golden, add in the sauce that was blended and stir. Add in a spoon of chicken bouillon and stir. Until she looks ready! If all your sauce evaporates before the rice is ready, go ahead and add another half cup or cup of water or chicken broth. As a college student, cooking for myself for the first time, it was definitely something that took a little practice since my mom doesn't follow exact recipes :) You got this!

Sourdough looks fab! I’d put the loaf on parchment paper before you score to protect the Dutch oven. I’d also add a few ice cubes to the Dutch oven then close the lid to get a crispy crust. Looks stunning though!!!!!

Your bread is beautiful. You are supposed to take the lid off for abut 10 mins before you take it out and you need to let it cool completely before you cut into it. It is kind of like steak where the heat continues to cook it for a little bit after you take it out of the oven.

When you are cooking the sourdough in the Dutch oven, make sure that the Dutch oven can go to 500 degrees. When I first began, I used one that could only go to 450 degrees, and after a couple times, it ruined the Dutch oven and removed the enamel coating.

ohh good q! warm socks! I usually do only one layer of leggings just because I want to stay comfy while walking but I'll layer a few tops and then a good walkable jacket! my headphones double as earmuffs and sometimes I think I big scarf is more warm than a big jacket ❤️
