Speaking of, my buddy and I played live when MoP released and we spent 30 min on the bombing run quest because there was a figure 8 of gyrocopters trying to shoot the 3 red barrels on the horde ship. We took screenshots and it looked like the old windows solitaire effect when you won. Fun times.
I always plan in advance to main some other class or spec, but when it comes time to log in and start the expansion (or patch or whatever) I always go Spriest.
That's me a feral druids. I've never mained one but that doesn't mean I don't have 4 of them. I'm still trying to decide between a Highmountain kitty or a Vulpera hunter.
I think what a lot of people are missing is there can only be one Evoker on a server, so we will see how that plays out for people that already have one and level a new one.
You can make one on another server, and pay to transfer it over to a realm you already have an evoker one - you've always been able to use that loophole with hero classes before Blizzard removes their limit...so I doubt it'll be an issue with moving them from timerunning to live servers. Or Blizz may remove that limitation by then!
I'm using this opportunity to level classes of the opposite faction; a big Tauren warrior always fascinated me. And the sunfury mage looks amazing in the upcoming expansion, so I'll also make a blood elf mage.

Ill be making another druid to level through quests and some dungeons quickly. You get easy travel access with travel form, with the fact you can interact with stuff while in travel form itll be super quick. Ontop of that you can tank and heal, so you can switch to whatever is more in demand in dungeons for instant queues. Once i got my cloak to be super charged up ill make some alts to level them to 70. After this event ill have all classes at 70 so im looking forward to that, plus all the transmog im missing :)
Probably going to be a Druid - So I can Tank / Heal and DPS... and sneak around. (Already got 4 Paladin / 4 Hunters 😂). My current Druid is a Kul'tiran... so it'll be a Night Elf Druid instead.
My druid is a Nightelf so in the remix I'll level a Kul Tiran :). I'll probably level another mage and priest too (already got 2 of each but they are so much fun!). And perhaps a deathknight or paladin just to see how unstoppable they can be.
100% being a druid, so much mobility, quality of life, all specs for tanking, melee and ranged dps, and healer, (going to farm dungeons as tank for massive bronze) , stealth to get past mobs I don't want to deal with, instant mount form, great offhealing, etc etc. I'll farm all the stats and exp bonus on cape as druid then switch to alts to level them.
My main is a nelf druid already so I'll take a break from that I think, probably go Zandalari Paladin, because palas get a race-unique special mount - gotta collect 'em all! :D Then again, druids get race-unique animal forms, so... /headache! Choices, choices... lol
I played as a Hunter first in MOP remix. It was so much fun but, it felt a little too easy to kill things even the rare elites. There was no challenge but, it was still really fun to play thru. I hope they do more things like this in the future, it was a nice change of pace from the everyday grind of DF.
I think so too mate ! I am lucky enough to have a full party already with friend so no pb for queue :D But I rly think tanks will be completly broken rly fast
Troll Shaman, -Heritage armor -Great mobility -2 DPS and healing option for dungeon/raid ques -Dey be da best race in da game mon! and later on I will do the shaman class questline because I never got the shaman Class Hall mount.
I have everything max for a while already. Took this oppertunity to level all 4 allied races on horde side that i still needed for the heritage achievements and armor. Done all alliance once but never did horde. So very fun doing it this way. Maxing out the first one to get the max achievement for the alts cloak and then will start leveling those other 3 allied races :)
Small tip for prot warrior, your main mitigation tool is shield block. Keep that up as often as possible and supplement with ignore pain and that'll be your main tools to stay alive. Prot warrior was my first spec I really stuck with and I love it a lot, I hope you do too!
Expecting instant-casts to be pretty crucial in order to tag mobs, and also because so much of the content will be watching stuff fall over as you run past stopping only to loot. So that means affliction & fire have a massive advantage over the other specs. Evoker might be the worst caster since they don't have a good way to mass-apply dots on the move and let gem procs wipe everything out.
@@jbutler8585 Yeah but you are AIMing just for solo or outdoor content. Most of the people will farm dungeons/LFR raids to hit max lvl ASAP :D so class that got healer/tank off spec will get invite prio, because there are always lot of dps spec in Que.
Kelani we should have an account bound cloak that yes gets downscaled but whatever we collect on the alts retroactively also improves the main one. Periodt ❤
Going to be levelling a Paladin first off as I am changing servers. I would recommend a class that has either a heal spec or tank spec so then you can work towards doing dungeons solo or with 2 people fairly quickly
I don't care much about transmog, but I do like experiencing quests. I might level new characters of several races just to play through their heritage armor questlines.
Giving druid healer a go, hot healing always seemed strong/fun.....one thing i noticed is the dungeons can be fairly brutal for healer. Instead of a chill leveling experience I really have to focus on people getting spiked dmg for 50%-90% of their hp at what can feel random. Not sure how the damage is tuned but sometime fights/mobs people barely take any damage, others the tank is at 50% the second they charge in.
Re-level to change name? Oh dear, my characters means so much more then name to me, it's all the recepies through out the years or just the sentimental values each and every char has from being almost 20 years old. Not to mention all the useless things i have at their bank (lol).
I was planning on a warlock (what I main) to get the cloak up then experiment with other classes. I always play Warlock, Mage or Hunter. I would like to try something else. I am still undecided ....
My main soloing is gonna be a demon hunter. Can swap between havoc and veng on the fly and basically be immortal. Plus dashing/gliding to make things quicker.
Check out some of the new talent tree's for the war within. If any of the hero talents feel like something you would want to try get familiar with it while waiting for TWW.
What better to go back in time to MoP with than a bronze, time travelling Dracthyr? (even though I already have a green one) Hoping they have mogs for evoker (and DH) instead of just borrowing from other mail/leather classes.
there's a few of us who got burned by SL, couldn't pull the trigger on DF for it's entirety and are capped at 60. SoD and HC have held us over but this is an opportunity to get some 70s in line for Worldsoul Saga
indeed i imagine that there still is burned folks, but as Chris Metzen has come home, we Azerothians should also return home, all of us. i know that is not done as easily as it sounds, but Blizzard have shown that they are still imperfect, yet they are listening to the players and working on ways to improve the game for everyone. and i have been watching every step they take, which is why i am even speaking in their favor, on their behalf.
It looks nice, weirdly enough I missed out on MOP alltogether, so this is really nice... The only thing annoying are the very steep prices & that ti's only 90ish days... I hope they bring this back on occassion, it could be nice to get all those nice mounts & tran,smogs @ more affordable prices, just like I did with the other (non limited time thingy in Dragonflight)...
Disappointed to hear that it’s difficult to complete quests due to high player count in the zone and low number mobs. I saw this as a time to experience the story and zones of the expansion not just dungeon spam my way to max level.
It’s not that it’s going to be impossible but also he is just saying it wouldn’t be as optimized if you’re trying to level fast. Definitely still viable though cause mop has fast respawn rates and plenty of objective items in every area. There are a few quests that aren’t too great but that’s just part of the game in any expansion so I wouldn’t be too worried about it! Also most of them (difficult to complete quests) aren’t progress locking for the story line in any zone so you can also skip most of the ones that do take too long!
gonna be running a void elf fire mage since its the only spec i dont have that i want to play... (have frost mage but they dont tend to stack crit) and i dont have void elf heritage
Sure, as tank and healer you have instant queue....but with all that power I am going Kul Tiran fury warrior. Never played that race, so getting the heritage-armor makes sense + fury with all the stats from the cloak must be so much fun :)))
I'm torn on doing the MoP remix. I have at least two of every class, all allied races at 70 and most of the Mists achievements. Seeing the gem system and getting mount skins is the greatest appeal for me. That and the fact that retail will probably be very low pop for a while, running keys there may be a bit more difficult 🙃🤪
I wish Blizz had taken the opportunity to add new class/race combos in the mix. I already have all the current combos that speak to me, so I'll be levelling a copy of something I already have or something new that I'll resent after a while and never play in retail again. I do look forward to the new gameplay with the cloak and gems and I'm glad for the opportunity to collect more transmog, so it'll be fine regardless. I would however have gone all out if I could finally make a Gnome Paladin, Shaman or even Druid. 😁😁
I have characters of every class at level cap (sometimes multiples). I'll probably go for a class I enjoy but don't play as often, like a monk. I have a night elf monk at level 70, but I'm thinking draenei. I'll probably level a dwarf shaman as well to have a ranged damage class.
i'm going with a Tauren Sunwalker aka Paladin for my main, and if i need any extra toons to unlock Class Specific items, i will roll Pandas to cover my bases.
Current main is a paladin and has been since BC, second char I'm enjoying is dark iron dwarf SPriest, I have 4 other max level alts incl a mage I've had forever. Warband wise I want one of each armor type so I am thinking of re rolling either druid or DH for leather and shaman for mail since I have never played one, and will be draenie to boot. I am stoked for this event and having you say you're going to be 'replacing' chars for the name change etc makes me feel a little better about doing the same
The only healer I don't have at 70 is a Mistweaver Monk - that will be my number 1. After that - not sure yet. I want a Horde set and an Alliance set for the War Within.
The ability to change the name and race of an alt is very interesting. I have a full roster and a couple of dud names in there. Will this make the alt unplayable in retail? I'll have to check out some more details on this. Great vid!
I am a main Evoker and started playing since Dragonflight, I have some classes I want to have on my alt army like a Druid, Hunter, Shaman, Warlock and maybe a Rogue. So I think this Mists of Pandaria Event couldn't come any better for me. The only thing I was wondering is that when the War Within expansion drops, can we still get the older Druid forms?
I would suggest to pick a dps class earlier then later. I know it will still be longer queue times, but it won't be as long as it will be in the future. I assume 5-15min queue times for the first couple weeks and then 15-60min after that. Healer and tank queues will be 1-5min and then 5-20min after the first couple weeks. I'm a casual player and I will be picking dps at first because I play healer in retail for the best gameplay possible. I like to play wow, not sit around in wow
Does anyone know if we’ll be able to obtain the specific class armor sets for the “gold challenges” dungeons? I think mop was the expansion that had those which are unobtainable now in current retail

Not mentioned here, but scaling issues are a major problem above level 65. I am getting one shot by trash in normal dungeons at level 70, and I'm not the only one. Forums are full of people complaining about this. A fresh 70 in remix is WAY weaker than a fresh 70 in retail.
My first time playing shaman as a relatively new player I have no clue what I am doing lol just messing around and enjoying it. My main is a Paladin on retail.
I was thinking to level 2 of the classes i know best.. then start on the ones i don't have maxed on retail. usually because i dont care much for the play style. Seems like the further you go the easier it will be for those that i struggle to keep leveled up on retail

Panda Monk (being the 1st toon), Draenei Warlock, Belf Mage and maybe Tauren/Mag har warr are the toons im gonna lvl up
Also raid lockeouts are per-character, so having more characters gives you more Bones per week

I'm playing an Evoker because I wanted my ability gains spread out over more levels, and it's made it easier for me to make sense of it.
my mains a BM hunter, so definitely gonna start with a survival hunter, then a MM hunter, then probably the rest of the horde allied races

I have been melee for many years (since tbc). Tried mage and warlock over the last couple of seasons. Far prefer lock :)
As someone who's played both, I suggest start with Warlock. The pets, particularly the voidwalker really help out.

since i have all classes at max level, my choice would be an army of druids for farming purposes
That blue hunter transmog is pretty!
Disappointed to hear that it’s difficult to complete quests due to high player count in the zone and low number mobs. I saw this as a time to experience the story and zones of the expansion not just dungeon spam my way to max level.
It’s not that it’s going to be impossible but also he is just saying it wouldn’t be as optimized if you’re trying to level fast. Definitely still viable though cause mop has fast respawn rates and plenty of objective items in every area. There are a few quests that aren’t too great but that’s just part of the game in any expansion so I wouldn’t be too worried about it! Also most of them (difficult to complete quests) aren’t progress locking for the story line in any zone so you can also skip most of the ones that do take too long!
gonna be running a void elf fire mage since its the only spec i dont have that i want to play... (have frost mage but they dont tend to stack crit) and i dont have void elf heritage

Sure, as tank and healer you have instant queue....but with all that power I am going Kul Tiran fury warrior. Never played that race, so getting the heritage-armor makes sense + fury with all the stats from the cloak must be so much fun :)))
Well leveling with quests is not that bad. The spawnrates are pretty good and had no trouble with may layer even with a lot of people.
Remaking my warrior, feels like a fun and easy way to get that alt ready for TWW
I'm torn on doing the MoP remix. I have at least two of every class, all allied races at 70 and most of the Mists achievements. Seeing the gem system and getting mount skins is the greatest appeal for me. That and the fact that retail will probably be very low pop for a while, running keys there may be a bit more difficult 🙃🤪

Are there lockouts for raids or are you able to farm them repeatedly? I saw on the PTR that there were no limits?
I wish Blizz had taken the opportunity to add new class/race combos in the mix. I already have all the current combos that speak to me, so I'll be levelling a copy of something I already have or something new that I'll resent after a while and never play in retail again. I do look forward to the new gameplay with the cloak and gems and I'm glad for the opportunity to collect more transmog, so it'll be fine regardless. I would however have gone all out if I could finally make a Gnome Paladin, Shaman or even Druid. 😁😁
I wanted to make a Fire Mage, but I think I’ll make a Warrior main on the remix since that’s what I know and then a mage with the buffs

I have characters of every class at level cap (sometimes multiples). I'll probably go for a class I enjoy but don't play as often, like a monk. I have a night elf monk at level 70, but I'm thinking draenei. I'll probably level a dwarf shaman as well to have a ranged damage class.
I'm gonna play a Lightforged Dreanei to unlock the Armor Set. After that I will play a warrior, druid, shaman and a panda monk.
i'm going with a Tauren Sunwalker aka Paladin for my main, and if i need any extra toons to unlock Class Specific items, i will roll Pandas to cover my bases.
Current main is a paladin and has been since BC, second char I'm enjoying is dark iron dwarf SPriest, I have 4 other max level alts incl a mage I've had forever.
Warband wise I want one of each armor type so I am thinking of re rolling either druid or DH for leather and shaman for mail since I have never played one, and will be draenie to boot. I am stoked for this event and having you say you're going to be 'replacing' chars for the name change etc makes me feel a little better about doing the same
The only healer I don't have at 70 is a Mistweaver Monk - that will be my number 1. After that - not sure yet. I want a Horde set and an Alliance set for the War Within.
The ability to change the name and race of an alt is very interesting. I have a full roster and a couple of dud names in there. Will this make the alt unplayable in retail? I'll have to check out some more details on this. Great vid!

I am a main Evoker and started playing since Dragonflight, I have some classes I want to have on my alt army like a Druid, Hunter, Shaman, Warlock and maybe a Rogue. So I think this Mists of Pandaria Event couldn't come any better for me. The only thing I was wondering is that when the War Within expansion drops, can we still get the older Druid forms?
Starting as a dh as thats my main, and gives me a chance to buff my cloak before i start leveling my alts
Lightforged Draenei for me: The last heritage armor I want, it can play as tank, dps, healer and ret paladins have a great dps profil for questing.

I would suggest to pick a dps class earlier then later. I know it will still be longer queue times, but it won't be as long as it will be in the future. I assume 5-15min queue times for the first couple weeks and then 15-60min after that. Healer and tank queues will be 1-5min and then 5-20min after the first couple weeks.
I'm a casual player and I will be picking dps at first because I play healer in retail for the best gameplay possible. I like to play wow, not sit around in wow
Does anyone know if we’ll be able to obtain the specific class armor sets for the “gold challenges” dungeons? I think mop was the expansion that had those which are unobtainable now in current retail
I am so excited for this! Sometimes after a really long day, I just want to go in and set the world on fire and shut the thinking mind off a while. Definitely a few classes I want to add to my gaggle of alts. Thank you for the video, weeded some out for me.
Not mentioned here, but scaling issues are a major problem above level 65. I am getting one shot by trash in normal dungeons at level 70, and I'm not the only one. Forums are full of people complaining about this. A fresh 70 in remix is WAY weaker than a fresh 70 in retail.
My first time playing shaman as a relatively new player I have no clue what I am doing lol just messing around and enjoying it. My main is a Paladin on retail.

I was thinking to level 2 of the classes i know best.. then start on the ones i don't have maxed on retail. usually because i dont care much for the play style. Seems like the further you go the easier it will be for those that i struggle to keep leveled up on retail
The only thing I don’t like is no professions. After the event and the character is in regular it will be a pain to start any profession
