Yes! That’s how I finally learned crochet. I kept pinning crochet on Pinterest and then I discover UA-cam tutorials. I was off to the races!
Sooner or later we all want to make the beautiful things.
I love that crochet bag! And the hippo lovey! That is a definite for me❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That bag is drool worthy and would have to be that yarn and those colors for me. A statement piece. The little Hippo lovey is so sweet.
I have a folder in my Ravelry favorites just for really inspiring color combinations. Some people just do an amazing job combining colors and I don't want to forget those unexpected combinations.
That’s a really good idea. Thanks for the tip.
Holy crap batman that blanket is AAAAMAAZING❤❤❤
***pause*** add to list
**** shake fist & laugh***
❤❤❤❤❤
Which one? Multiple inspirational blankets. The addition to Sophia or the Tunisian mosaic? Such statement pieces
I have wanted to do Sophie Universe since it was only Sofphie Garden but in Grey scale, black and white only.
But when I turned 50 I got the Mary Maxium colorful Mosaic. Sadly this year I will be 54 and not touched it yet 😝❤️
The Tunisian one was the new OMG also I have an incredible pattern from Sixel(might have spelled it wrong) incredible Gothic blanket with EVERYTHING Halloween.
My list is large, but the year just started and my man got me 2 notebooks to log in Wips and FOs. One cover "I crochet because punching people is frowned upon" 😊❤️
Tunisian crochet is very easy! Im almost done with a blanket! I chose simple stitch and stripes with different balls of yarn I picked up over a year at Michaels! Easy to pick up n put down! Its cold now so I appreciate the warmth while I work! 😂 That blanket you show is gorgeous! A bit more focus is needed ! Imo Still finishing my wips but a mindless project is nice in the evening 👍
Would a belt be something durable in Tunisian? Decently easy first project?
I haven't done anything like that ! I've mainly done afghans so a queen size is a stretch for me. I'd recommend looking it up on tube ! I'm thinking a # 4 yarn but it depends on how intricate the stitches would be 🤔 Good Luck! yest remember it's fun to try something new ! 😉 😊
Those are pretty patterns. I will have to check them out.
Hello Shannon Wow I have to say that all those patterns are just beautiful ❤🎉
There are so many talented people out there making intricate works of art. That’s what everyone of these things are. Absolutely stunning.
I really like that colored sleeve sweatet😊
It’s such a fun idea. You could be as crazy or conservative as you want in the sleeves.
Thank you, Shannon entertaining as always
You are so welcome. I may have decided at least one of these just has to be made.
Hi Shannon, beautiful patterns! 🧶🫂
It’s nice seeing the artistic combinations people come up with. These are some that have stopped me in my tracks.
Lol! I fully understand color problems. I loved the patterns.
At least I’ve got hubby to help me.
The big tunsian blanket doesn't have to be a blanket. You could make enough of the squares you like and put them together as a sweater. 😊 Herrschners has a cute free hat pattern that uses a 3 weight yarn to make a hat/cowl. Would be cute in the menegerie yarn. It's called Tiny Cables Hat and Cowl. I'm thinking of trying it with some of the menegerie I picked up. Thank you for sharing some of your favorites with us. Those are some stunning patterns. Have a great weekend!
You have a great weekend too. We are snuggled inside listening to the howling wind outside
That Hat is wowzers
Isn’t that amazing. The wonderful detail and new approach to a basic design is stunning. I like things that are unexpected and love yarn and pattern movement in a design. This has all that.
LOL, hi Shannon! My Sophie blanket is in a bin as well, love it, but it does take a commitment. I have to commit time to Sophie, but I have family that want other things and so the time necessary is not there. I also work, so there's that as well. Currently I am working on a shrug for a daughter's birthday this month. I get a kick from watching your videos! 😍
I e looked at that style blanket. I live they, they are visually stunning. I couldn’t get over the matching colors aspect though. For me it would have to be a kit.
Happy Friday!
So thrilled to have made it to the weekend again.
Cute patterns.
I think there are some of these calling to me. So many lovely things to make.
You mentioned some easy top down sweaters (flex & brick?) do you have any recommendations for easy top down crochet sweaters? I have done a few (granny stitch ones) and am looking to expand my skill. Thanks ❤
I bought a kit for my Sophie blanket and I love it,I am like you I have no sense of color combinations
I’d have to get a kit. 25+ skeins of coordinating colors in the correct quantities. I’d need help, a kit would be the best for me personally.
Good after noon Shannon I can't wait to see what your top inspirational favorite desig are ? The way I put colors together turns out beatifull
You're going to love what I have in store. 😊
Beautiful projects! I would like to follow you on Ravelry, if possible. I just bought that I heart granny last week! Can’t wait to make it.
Let me know what you think of it. It is a lovely design.
Oh my goodness my latest joann order was a mess. I ordered a mug with my yarn and when the box came it was just rolling around loose in the box of yarn . No wrapping or protection on it at all.luckly it was still in 1 piece. It looked like they took a big box walked down a line and chucked yarn and mug in as they went. Never had joann send things like that before.
I can't even order on line ,site continues to freeze😮
Yikes! That’s rough, sounds like the packers don’t care. My mug was wrapped in bubble wrap thrown in with the yarn in a way too big box. The mug arrived with no issues, I agree though, not the best packaging
Interesting video. Did you ever finish the Flourish sweater? One of the pictures reminded me of the Flourish sweater with the movement of the design
Camille is talking about doing Mosaic in March. No details yet. We are still working on cardigans for February. ❤
No I haven’t finished that one. It’s also in my favorites and close to half completed. It’s one of the 6+ I was referring to. I really don’t know how many I’ve got languishing at the moment
My youngest daughter name is Ellie. Have a great day everyone!
That makes the design even more desirable doesn’t it? So pretty
Over the roof? Or through the roof?❤
Yes! It wasn’t coming to me.
Are the mosaic socks helping with fear areliund the colorwork stuff?
I’m really enjoying the mosaic socks and one day I’ll do some stranded colorwork on the socks too.
But do you need 35 skeins of 1 color?
Maybe not of one color but depending on the pattern, yes to the 35 skeins.
Make the hippo a little bit bigger as a baby blanket
That is adorable isn’t it. With the new baby arriving maybe this needs to move up in the imaginary queue I have.
How hard is it to learn to knit? Ive tried years ago, but coordination was/is not my strong suit, but you make it seem like simple stitches shouldnt be hard.
I don’t think it’s hard, just have to practice and not expect instant gratification
@anotheryarn lol, that is fair. 🤣 And my teenage and then young mom self probably would have been low on practice time and wanted Instant gratification.
My guess is 9 adult sweaters.....
I haven’t had the courage to go searching, I think you could be right though
