Shannon, you continue to amaze me!! Thank you for all that you do!! I am making yet another chicken for the same friend!! My chickens look more like ducks!! I think there are problems with the written pattern!!! Oh well, they will have to be what ever they are!! My brother in law calls them turduckens!!! In any case, My Joanne's order should be here today and yesterday I ordered more of the K & C yarn like yours!!! I am so excited!!! I also ordered my chiagoo 2" knitting needles, 1 set should be here today and the other set won't be here until the middle of the month!!! I also did a teeny tiny Hershners order!! My happy place is colorwork. I'm working on the Hunslet cardigan by Martin Storey in Rowan Felted Tweed, a favorite yarn. I like the idea that you had about making the cowl into a sweater, or sleeves for a sweater. Very pretty.

Knit fabric has a great stretch to it. I’d make an adult sweater with positive easy for myself though.
I'm out of yarn for my cardigan, so I started a potholder that turned into dishcloth last night, and am almost done with a potholder this morning. Planning to get that done and switch to a sewing project because your tackle it projects really has me wanting to get through some of the odd wips that either I have or chose to keep from inherited stuff. But mixing stuff up and getting it done is appealing. And I feel like Melange is my word of the year. A mix or medley just seems to fit. I want to do a mix and mash things up but get it done.
Your socks look the most like something that would be bought in a store than I've ever seen done by hand.

Is this the first time you've wanted to make your sleeves first? 🤣 Stunning work and you amaze me with your makes. I really want to figure out how to pencil hold!
Baby sweater is beautiful. The squares came out great. Still working on the cuff but a couple of rows should finish it. Cuffs seem to take forever. Then to see if I can figure out how the circuit pattern works with only odd rows charted. I'm sure it's not as complicated as my brain is trying to make it. 😂
Each charted row, you work twice. You can do it!
I have a bedspread that may take long than a year. I work a few stitch in it but I look at how long it may take and panic? I put a few stitches in it but can't help think of long term? 💜💜🤗🤗🐶stay safe and huge hugs
I laughed so hard at you, full-on stopping, when you put that on your arm and switching gears.
The reason being I do that also and the man gives me blank stares like the RCA dog. (Yeeeah I'm old lol)
Right after I also do the mile a minute project rant of "I can, I can, I can" which usually gets one of 2 responses. 1 "Go for it babe" cause he truly wants to see what happens next and no room for much of a responce unless I stop for a sip of coffee or the 2 "Put down that coffee cause you are hurting my head😂" mostly it's the timing cause he is winding down and I just woke up and already hit 120mph out of the gate. Ya know over excited and happy with my 3Cs(Crafting, Coffee & Cats)❤😊🤪

The sleeve idea was nowhere in my thinking process until that cowl easily slipped on my arm. Oh my that would be a stunning sweater. Yep, I remember the RCA dog 🤭
On the chart/pattern, I did start questioning the whole US versus UK version of the chart key, but I got a basic stitch book at the library that has the charts and all US terminology so there is no question. Will probably get sewing plans tackled and do some squares for dishcloths this summer.
Just an FYI. I get the subscription club and mystery club from Arcane. Both have now been canceled to all US customers due to the tariff sanctions. Tyler said we could still order regular hanks but implied the cost would go up for US customers.
I’m so sorry, I hope they will be back soon for the subscriptions.

What does the blocking do exactly? People keep talking about blocking, but I don't understand the purpose. I've only made one squares afghan, but I just stacked them up before connecting. Is the blocking something because it's wool or?
