I strongly disagree, think about yourself in his position, youd be throwing your family, your life, and your happiness permenantly to end up in a dark dark and a broken place.
Heassik ! eh, not even close imo. white christmas was insane. he was left there for 1 millions years with that loud ass music on. also black museum, be right back and metalhead was pretty sad too. idk, this one was sad but didnt really feel anything when watching the ending
I wasn't sold on the concept of the episode, that everyone was essentially forced to wear a body cam on them at all times. Thats just a huge invasion of privacy that I feel most people wouldn't be down for. But the most interesting part to me was the integration of technology Inside of people and how it might effect them psychologically. That ending tore my heart out lol. He was torturing himself, reliving all these tiny moments in time that he cherished so much one last time before starting over again.
Liam is 100 percent correct in his feelings towards his wife, she did cheat on him and the child obviously is not his. That's as sick as you can get, Liam should be happy he is finally free from everything.
And there's people calling Liam the monster? It's ridiculous. People are basically shaming him for ruthlessly searching for the truth, instead insinuating that he should have blindly spent his life with an untrustworthy woman and a child that isn't biologically his!
@@1993ilykiana Probably because he knew deep inside he was right, with all the evidence he had. If his wife was honest from the start instead of making different stories (the fact she said one week, then one month, then finding out it was 18 months), he wouldn't have done it that way, so it's entirely her fault..
But I have to know, can anyone explained, why is his wife and child gone at the end ? Did he get a divorce ? Did he kick her out ? What ahppened to his wife ??? Where is She ??
Liam was being gaslighted by his wife and every one I talk to who sees this episode says something infuriating about how Liam is “insecure” or “crazy”. Gaslighting is one of the most disgusting things you can do to another person mentally and a lot of people don’t get that.
Stopped watching after “insecure and obsessive” Liam is a LAWYER. He see’s things, he questions them. His wife WAS cheating, everything he thought was 100% correct. Was he wrong by escalating the situation and resorting to violence? Yes. Can I understand why he did so? YES. Fi is the ultimate villain here.
Yeah i dont understand why people use insecure as an insult when people dont behave as they should in a relationship.Especially women who think they are immune to any consequence to their actions.
I agree. I felt for Liam here. It really hurt to seem him turn violent, and it hurt to see him and Fi’s lives fall apart this way. The story was beautifully told.
Yeah I don’t how someone is insecure or jealous when they’re clearly onto something. Dude used his brain and put two and two together. If the writers were showing the “bad sides” of having access to all your memories, they did a terrible job. If Liam hadn’t been able to connect the dots with absolute proof, Fi would have gaslighted him until he couldn’t tell if his suspicions were real (which they were) or if he was crazy. Like if they wanted to make Fi more sympathetic, I’m not sure why they would imply she cheated multiple times and had Liam raise another man’s kids. If that’s the bliss that comes from ignorance, I’d rather not be ignorant.
liam isnt a saint, hes just a realistic normal person like all of us. he followed his gut and ended up being right. he's actually a really likeable character
When you've been cheated on and you watch this episode, the pain is unbearable. The feelings of intense anger and angst against his wife is hard to describe. I remember when I found out and caught mine cheating on me man thank god I didn't end up ending her fucking life. No truer pain has been felt before.
@@lc7592 Exactly, I don't get why this is even a debate and why people would rather not knowing and stay with a woman who cheats and raising a child that you think is yours when is not. Are people that desperate for happiness that they rather live in a lie?
It isn't, I guess that in this case the dude couldn't handle it but still I'd rather face a painful truth than live a blissful lie. Being made to believe that you're raising your biological child while you're actually raising someone else's all while your partner is cheating on you is just cruel, even if it made him feel like shit when he found out I consider this more of a happy ending because he's better off without her. Maybe he went a bit overboard with gouging out the grain and potentially blinding himself, but tbh I love my privacy and if I lived in that world I wouldn't need something terrible to happen before I'd gouge the grain out.
To be fair, we're not sure if it's true or he's dellusional for the whole episode. If he WAS just dilusional then obviously, what he did to her would not be okay. But since he was right, does that justify it? He could have been wrong too... What if he was wrong? Despite all this, was he happier in the end?
He was right the entire time. If she had been honest with him he wouldn’t have escalated the situation continuously. Are we honestly attempting to claim some would rather unknowingly raise another mans child after their wife has cheated
@@hannahbrown1128 it wouldn't have been "abusive" if she was honest in the first place. do you even know how hard it would hit you as a lover if you weren't really the father to your child to the one you "love"?

Eoin Smith God I wish I was a lesbian after reading this bullshit. She was never emotionally abusive. Cheating lying and being attracted to someone else isn’t cool but it’s not abusive. Grabbing someone by the face screaming at them in their face to scare them pushing them and grabbing their arms all intended to scare them is clear physical and verbal abuse. Being obsessive is excusable. Cheating is wrong but can be forgiven people make mistakes and life gets boring. Abuse should never be forgiven. What he did was based on fear and control. He’s not the victim.
This episode literally broke my best friends ex-wife. She was demanding that we stopped watching this episode. You could tell it was really bothering her eating away at her, turns out she was cheating
*I'm really glad your friend found out the truth..* but his ex wife is stupid af for showing him that a story about cheating was bothering her to a point where she would tell a room of other people who are enjoying it to turn it off. She should've just stfu & continued watching the story in silence or make an excuse to leave the room or sumthin lmao !!
@@davidkonevky7372 imagine being in a constant worry that your child is not yours and your partner is a cheater... getting old with all that thoughts in your mind and replaying memories every once in a while... would be hell.
I don't understand how anyone could consider Liam in the wrong. His wife cheated on him and lied to him about his child that wasn't even his. She was lying throughout the whole episode and he caught on, I just feel terrible for Liam. If anything, I would say his reaction was beyond reasonable, I know that I would be a lot more mad then he was.
Liam isn't all in the wrong but the fact that he was phsycially and mentally abusive towards his wife made me dislike his character. There are so many better ways to deal with cheating, ways that he could've been seen as the good guy. I don't think anything justifies his physical actions same with his wife. Both of their actions couldn't be justified by myself personally, they both did terrible things that hurt each other in the end.
@@unusunus4613 He was not physically nor mentally abusive towards his wife. He never laid a hand on her prior to the episode (that we know of), and he was not mentally abusive. He was only extremely insecure but that is not abuse. It's hard to say that he should of dealt with it better because in the end he is human, if you were in that position you may do the same thing as him or maybe even worst. I mean his whole life just crumpled in front of him. His wife cheated on him, he most likely got fired from his job, and he had been raising a kid that wasn't even his. I would say that his actions were justified in the end.
His actions were a bit over the top if he knew that she was an unfaithful liar from the beginning he should'nt have but his main source of happiness towards her. The best thing to do in that situation is to breakup n find inner peace. You cant say he was always truly happy with her.
@@lorenzomorgan2178 it's because his wife lied to her again and again and again and again! Liam felt that whatever he did his wife was gonna lie to him, he's just human and his wife forced him to do that.

@@gimbobjenkins405 what's worse? Leaving with the constant worry that your child might not be yours and your wife is a liar and cheater, or accepting that and moving on? At least the baby won't have many memories of this (sort of lol). I think it's a lot worse to just cling on the "good parts" of a toxic relationship when you can both start over and be happier. It's especially better for the child if they aren't together and build better relationships with other people.
Depends on the person, some people are dedicated to finding the truth no matter how bad it is, others are happy with living a lie. It is a lot worse to only look at the good times when at the end of a bad relationship, its usually why people stay together when they know its doomed, they remember the good times when they are not around and remember the bad times when they are.
@@KookiesNolly You know, I find this response to be really ironic and funny just because the grain records everything in excrutiating detail, and can be replayed at anytime, and neither can it be deleted without leaving a suspicious looking blank on that grain. That entire episode of Black Mirror is all about clinging to those good parts and being unable to move on from... well... anything and live a happier life just because people can't forget anything. Just like how that baby will still have memories of that event because of that grain in their brain. The grain is a literal seed of doubt.
Personally I think ignorance can be bliss sometimes. Not knowing something but suspecting it, sucks yes, but what's worse is knowing everything and feeling it to your core. I'd say that's worse
The people trying to rationalize Ffion's infidelity are probably infidels themselves. I've felt the extent of this betrayal as well, and frankly, I would say I could not hold my anger as well as Liam's.
Why did she even marry him if they both didn't agree to this "societal contract" you speak of? If she wanted to have a polygamous relationship, then she shouldn't have married him in the first place. Find someone else who's willing to agree with her terms of polygamy, instead of ruining someone's life. It's already happening today, so surely that's possible. Your actions have consequences, as it should be. Cheating is cheating.
@@Eruerucamicaminono exactly. people who cheats and then cower behind "humans are not monogamous by nature" is just fucking pathetic. this is not about wether humans are monogamous or not, this is about a breach of trust. if they want an open relationship, then get into one with a willing partner. consent is the key. and yet some of the cheaters herr actually tried to justify their (and in this case fi's infidelity) by saying humans are not meant for monogamous relationship. that is the most selfish, pathetic, egotistical, thing ever to say in a relationship. they're destroying their partner's trust just for their own selfish feelings, and then blame something else entirely instead of themselves for something that they do. disgusting pieces of trash. all of them.
If Jonas had come over and stayed the night, probably Fi had all intentions to have another quickie when Liam was sleeping. Once a cheater is always a cheater.
I'm like fully on Liams side. He obviously wasnt always this bad cause Phe was suprised. She gave him reasons to be insecure. The way he was acting is how people act when they've been hurt, lied to, or shamed before
Cannot understand how anyone can be on the side of a liar and a cheat. He acted intensely, but considering he of all people would know her, I feel it was justified when he uncovered the truth.
People are pretty much saying that person who acted emotionally after finding out his wife cheated on him and his child is not really his is in the wrong. Like, no.
Estrella Casias I agree. I don't get people who are any other side other that Liam's, he might be a little obsessive but most of his actions are justified and he was right on top of that and I don't get how anyone would stay in a relationship with someone who cheats on you and raising someone else's child thinking is yours just for the sake of happiness.
I agree to the full extent, Liam is in the right. The wife and Jonas are utterly disgusting and insufferable human beings. The wife still flirted with Jonas in front of Liam. They don't realise as a lawyer, Liam pays attention to subtleties on behaviour.
Problem is if roles changed everyone would be backing Ffion saying she is completely right for what she did, but because it's Liam people think he is delusional and insecure. However he is just a really smart individual with an outstanding attention span and eye for detail. That's what's wrong with the society nowadays.
I think that even the show-writter and the way they explain the episode and Liam is kind of a satirical shot at people who act this way,it's mocking society and how this has basically become a norm to bash the guy and empower the lady
I loved liam since the start, he is so focused on the little details that actually matter it’s fascinating. I don’t know how someone can even say he was in the wrong, he’s a lawyer so he focuses on details, he noticed his wife’s body language, recognized that it meant attraction, and followed his gut feeling where it led him to the perfect position honestly, he should find a better wife because most dream of a rich handsome tall man that is able to take care of his wife and child. Fi was a complete A-Hole and extremely unlikeable. I knew she was cheating on him but to try and gaslight your and continually lying just screams pathological liar, and those type of people are bad for everyone involved in their life.
This episode made me sad, because when I was in a toxic relationship, I used to memorize text messages and words, to “reassure” myself that he’s still in love with me, “he would never cheat, never hurt me and he want to protect me”. Then I found out that he was cheating the whole time and I really wanted to just “rip it off” of my brain, just like the guy did with the microchip in this episode.
It sucks. And I’m so sorry you went through that. What played out in this episode.. essentially happened to me recently.. in my life. Most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope you’ve found someone new and better for you.
Whoah whoah whoah whoah whoah hold up. “Liam is obsessive and insecure.” How about Liam had gut instincts that his wife was unfaithful or Liam was being gaslighted by his cheating lying snake of a wife. I love the character of Liam. Wtf is with all the Liam hate?!
That's what I was thinking! How can someone be labeled as insecure and obsessive when they were right about something and had a strong gut feeling? Plus what's wrong with being obsessive about the truth when you know you're most likely right. I also wouldn't say he's insecure because he was confident and just fine before his wife started to act all weird. She literally didn't even try to hide the signs that she was more interested in someone else and looked gloomy when she looked at him after looking at the other dude all excited.
Because that opening scene of Liam obsessing over his assesment interview proves that this obsessiveness and constant doubting is not limited to his relationship with Phi. That interview has nothing to do with Phi or his relationship with her, and yet he is still obsessing over it and nit picking every little detail of it for fear that he will lose his job. It is everywhere in his life, and it is constant. I don't know about you, but that sounds like someone who is very insecure about themselves to me.
There's nothing insecure about Liam , he was right about his suspicions , therefore he was righfully fearful not irrationally fearful therefore not insecure
I think that cheating in a relationship where there's a baby is one of the evilest things one can do. The cheated is faced with the dilemma of breaking up and putting a young child in a broken family or staying and having their hatred consume them.
Yup babays father cheated while I was pregnant, for all the neighbors to see.guess what.....I'm not bitter, I'm getting married to my best friend.and not all men are evil.i hope many others grow up
That doesn't happen to me, but just thinking about it makes me hurt so fucking much. No wonder there's so many murder cases because of one of the two is having affair.
Liam's a victim of a cheating lying wife yet you demonize him has abusive obsessive and insecure when he was right all along ...I never understood why people always make excuses for a woman cheating they blame it on the guy as if a woman can never be guilty of wrong yet if the story was other way around with liam cheating on her nobody would even try to claim it's her fault ot say shes obsessive and abusive
Sadly we live in a society where men are to blame for everything and woman are always the victims. Obviously it's not possible for biological reasons but imagine if men could lie to women about a child being there's and allowing a woman to bring that child up on a lie, the men would rightly be called monsters yet women do this all the time and it's swept under the carpet. In my opinion it should be a criminal offence and any one doing it should be Shamed.
To me Liam is not abusive. He was betrayed and Jonah needed to understand that talking about about a nother man's wife in front of him is inconsiderate. If he didn't jump into action to stop her from deleting the proof of her infidelity then she would have kept lying to him. His relationship has no trust, no commitment, just a self created delusion that these things are important. How long would it have been before she was sleeping with Jonah again?
It's definitely abusive, screaming and yelling and physically grabbing at your wife or husband is abusive. He wasn't forced to stay in the relationship, he knew something was wrong and that should've been a signal to leave the relationship and marriage. Nothing justifies hurting someone physically like that.
@@unusunus4613 What Liam's wife did was worse than a physical beating, as it was fucking him up emotionally and mentally. Physical wounds heal, mental scars are the next level of pain and suffering. Nothing justified Liam's wife in her continued attempts to keep the truth from Liam. For fucks' sake, she tricked him into raising another man's child, while flirting with the man she committed adultery with in front of Liam. Jonas would talk about Fi in front of Liam and others on reliving his moment of fucking her, but not state her name. It can't get anymore disgusting of a human being than Liam's wife and Jonas.
@@unusunus4613 While I'd say physical abusive is definitely terrible, up until the fact that he was certain that he caught her in a web of lies, he never laid a hand on her and to say that going through all that emotion you could say without a doubt you wouldn't even touch your wife sounds a little naive. While he shouldn't have, he didn't physically beat her, and the only time he even put his hands on her in the first place is when he knew this marriage was over. He is flawed because he was definitely looking for something wrong in his relationship to begin with but to say the connections he was making between the two were a stretch is a bit unreasonable. She banged an ex, not even a week after a fight, while they were married. In my personal opinion she got what she deserved, and I wouldn't say the grain ruined his life, although being reminded of what once was in such great detail I'm sure was a mind fuck being able to look back in great detail of all the good times (we normally remember the bad times more vividly so it can make moving on which is hard, a bit easier but I'm assuming near impossible with the grain).
I don't care how much "love" there is. You cheat, it's over. I'm the kind of person who much rather feel the pain knowing the truth than live blissfully. At least with pain I can make a decision of what to do about it.

DmanDice so its his fault because he was mean? Because she was constantly lying and tried to delete the video? And just because she said sorry makes everything okay? Your statement is stupid
"Ruining his life" sounds a bit hyperbolic. What, he's too old to start a family with someone else? The child he was raising is less than a year old. Not saying what she did wasn't messed up, but his life was NOT ruined. He just gave up on it.
the scenes like the babysitter scenes and d.u.i'ing and threatening jonas was outta wack. sure, he had every right to be angry at fi. but forcing a babysitter in an awkward situation and in the middle of a row, and nearly killing himself and Jonas (before he knew about cheating btw, ig he came there bc he wanted him to delete his wankbank scenes of his wife).
Personally I lean more towards Liam, truth is extremely important in our lives and relationships. And as the saying goes, "The truth will set you free." Personally after all of this despite the consequences I think Liam as a character would benefit from this both removing the grain and getting away from Fi, it would give him the much needed relief even if there will be a momentary sadness of losing his "family".
I'm starting to wonder how much of our relationships are a lie, having seen how convincing and easily Fi was able to lie to her husband. I was fooled every single time she told a lie, and what's genuinely surprised when the truth was uncovered.

The bad thing about both of them is, they forget in the end of their life only their child will matters. Only their family will wait days and night when they sick, because friends, ex, or such have their own life. 100%. We dont know if Liam acts like this towards Fi prior to the dinner party. So its not safe to assume that he is an all rounded "insecure and obsessed" guy. His response and actions 100% justified since if the genders were switched the whole world will say its justified

The only thing that would've redeemed her by a tiny bit was if she told him the truth. Liam was obssessive and insecure but he wasn't cruel. Like he said, "Look at what you did to me, Fi. This isn't me." He loved her enough that he could've forgiven her and raised the baby. Or at the very least if they separated, he wouldn't be as destroyed as he is now. He wouldn't have to resort to mutilating himself just to get rid of the grain. Perhaps it was unintentional but she just completely destroyed him. He lost everything and she didn't lose anything.

I remember during philosophy class we watching this episode and everyone said that Phi had the right to cheat on him till I mentioned that they were married. I even remember the girl saying "her body her choice" when I brought up that no matter what is happening in the relationship, cheating is wrong. Honestly the whole situation showed me how people view female cheaters and men who have been cheated on.
This is what happens whe some 304 with sub - average IQ takes a quote "my body, my choice" wich is related to a womans right to terminate a life of her unborn child. Now, the stupid 304 thinks she discovered warm water and uses this quote to any situation there is. And yeah, I know personally some women that think like that. Kinda boils my blood.
I'm a female and honestly speaking this, "her body her choice" thing has been taken out of context and given "us" permission to do immoral acts. When a man does it, it's bad and frowned upon, but when a female does it, it's a right? These are the kind of things that make me question why we try to fight justice by being unjust. If cheating is wrong, let be wrong for all, if it's deemed okay then let it be okay for everybody. Jeez

In certain cases of Trauma, distancing your present self from that scenario helps a lot. This device would only help to replay that experience over and over again, which may lead one to go absolutely insane
When it comes to lies(especially big ones like the kid isn't yours), give it time and they will always come back to bite you in the ass, this episode had the technology to make it happen and she still got away with it for at least 18 months.
Is Liam actually flawed for being insecure? Or might he just be smart for being able piece the truth together? I think he's just smart for being able to see through the bullshit other people throw at him. Kinda like how Truman in the Truman show wasn't simply "paranoid" - he was just smart enough to realise something about his world wasn't quite right. That the people he knew and loved were all insincere, that the background characters are all on a loop etc. There's a difference between being insane, and realising you're living in an insane situation. I suspect people just like to slap the "paranoia" label on intelligent, socially perceptive people who rock the boat, because if they admitted there was any validity to what the person is saying, the lies they put out into the world would come back to bite them, revealing them for the pathetic individuals they really are.

Even if he did PROVE it wasn't his kid in blood if he was a caring and strong individual he would step-up. Especially if he was certain his wife (/ex) was a dirtbag. But he was very selfish. More-so than his wife seemed to be. Though they were both TOO selfish imo and both made very crappy decisions.
@@ari3lz3pp3lin there is nothing wrong with not accepting a kid that is not his, what you are saying is just stupid. Nothing weak about not wanting a kid that is not YOURS.
I can see how this would be really unhealthy even in a marriage without adultery. Often there is this desire to be right even in the pettiest of squables. You said you'd take out the trash, I thought it was your turn to do the dishes, you chose the movie last time, etc... Being able to pull up an objectively perfect memory of what they said to 'win' the fight would ultimately just harbor resentment between you. My mom always said in marriage you have to choose, is it better to be right or happy? Even if you think you're right, sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and realize that whatever little thing you're fighting about isn't as important as the fact that you love them and want them to be happy.
Nice analysis however I say that goes with all relationships one has with family, friends and partners. They would choose to be right rather than to be happy. One girl I was with wanted to record our arguments but changed her mind, her reasoning was we would be sitting there constantly replaying and rewinding instead of actually dealing with whatever started the argument in the first place.
I can see the allure as a parent though, it wouldn't be so scary to leave my daughter with a babysitter or daycare if I knew I could check and make sure they're taking proper care of her and they knew I'd be watching. Would be too tempting to keep it in though, when I was in the first grade I was forced to write with my right hand despite being a lefty and in second grade I'd wet myself because the teacher wouldn't let me go to the bathroom which caused horrible rashes. If there was a way to prove it my mom could've gone to the school board but it was a 6 year old's word against a teacher's. Still there would be all kinds of privacy issues and over analysis of the kid's every move that it would be impossible to have a happy and normal childhood.
Woah The story isn't about a little as who's turn is it to take out the trash.. is about cheating and unfaithfulness and i believe everyone have every right to know the truth about their partner. Especially the one you are married to.
Erick Jørgensen obviously. Seems like you missed the point she was making. Also one of the points being made in the video: there’s a reason why our memories aren’t 100% and this thing is as much a curse as it is a benefit.
as someone who is in a relationship right now, I don't know how anyone can label him as obsessed and insecure. He was gaslighted, cheated on, and led on to raise a kid that's NOT HIS. He is not insecure, his gut felt something and he was right. He's a lawyer he's meant to see tiny details and gauge them. Being a lawyer makes him have a good memory but with the grain there it just proves how valid his gut feeling was. He was on a downward spiral and I was totally on his side.
I think the whole point was that technology is a double edged sword. Did it help him discover the truth? Yes. Did it also create a rabbit hole effect that was psychologically damaging to him by allowing him to revisit past memories over and over? Yes. You’d get answers, but there’s a high price to be paid.
There's a bit too much cheating-justification here. I don't agree that Fee was driven to cheat because of Liam's insecurity, I think he knew she was untrustworthy the whole time and that's why he acted like that. Your gut is rarely wrong and it's always better to know the truth than be blissfully unaware..
Right! Thank you! I agree! I totally got the impression that cheating was justified too. So much Liam hate! I can’t relate lol. Love the character of Liam
No one is "driven" to cheat, that's such bullshit. If she felt his insecurity was a problem and fell out of love, she should have recognized that and expressed it like a mature adult. Try to figure it out and separate amicably if it doesn't work out. You don't fucking have sex with someone behind their back. It just pisses me off. (not at you, I'm just getting myself worked up lol)
If YOU dont think Liam is in the right in EVERY little thing in this episode. You need to change your morality on life. Hes the victim in every sense and Jonas and his wife both deserve to be alone for the rest of their lives.
Did anyone else notice that not only did she cheat on her husband, and knew he wasn’t the father of the he child. She even sort of named the child after the real father. The disrespect Fi + Liam = Jodie ❌ Fi + Jonas = Jodie ✅
Liam was absolutely justified in most of his actions here. Overly emotional and obsessive? Yes. But, nonetheless he made the right choice by confronting his partner and her lover. Ideally, one would do this from a clear head (not drunk and emotionally destructive), but then again, that wouldn't make for good telly. Phenomenal episode.
I’d say that he was strong and resourceful. It usually takes a long time to build a case for your partner cheating and he had it figured out in a little over 24 hours. He treated this like the lawyer he is. He had evidence from a long time ago, key statements and testimonies. Minus him breaking the law, he did a great job
She constantly lies to him and talk with Jonas in front of him happily. Like hello, are you okay? okay I respect this modern thinking, free will or smth like that. But I wouldn't be so intimate with my ex in front of my husband, the "fateh" of my child. She is the guilty of on Liam's downfall.
It’s such a parallel to our social networks, every employer, hell even the government looks at it to determine your intentions and your past actions, people who don’t have any Facebook, instagram, Twitter etc. are most commonly even looked at weird... and such small things as who’s pictures your partner liked, what they looked at can lead to suspicion
Datboicold Bruh lmao exactly! I don’t have any social media. UA-cam is the closest thing I have. But yup people think I’m weird and a social outcast when they find out I don’t have anything
yeah i dont have instagram and everybody just gives me those "how dare you... in 2019? this world?" it's just that i have but haven't used for more than a year so it's better to say i dont have an account. i barely have any followers too ..
Liam definitely wasn't insecure.Anyone would have acted like that if they were in Liam's possition. He even says,"you know this is not me fi",while asking her for the truth.Fi definitely made a mistake.
Insecure or not Liam was right about everything . His wife was cheating on him and she continued to lie about it . He was and is the victim in this episode .
For the people who say that Liam is wrong, insecure, and obsessive they are either cheaters themselves who try to gaslight their partners into thinking that they are overthinking stuff.
Some people say Liam's insecure. But he was right all along, how is he insecure when his suspicions were right? Also pushing her onto bed wasn't abusive as it happened only once in that frustrating moment. He assulted Jonas, yes. But it's really hard to like Jonas after what he said at dinner. Don't diminish the meaning of 'abusive'.
That’s so interesting! I do believe that loss of memory (or inaccurate memories) is really important in some situations. Memories of trauma, for example, can be blocked when they are simply too difficult for the person to re-experience. They can also be misremembered or replaced with something less painful. It’s an adaptive technique that helps us keep going instead of being paralyzed by difficult memories.
Pretty crazy depiction of OCD as well. With the obsessions and his compulsive having to check the grain to examine every situation he’s been through. I find myself consistently going through past situations to see wether or not there is any truth to my obsessions..... Crazy how much I feel I actually relate to this episode....
You need the clicker thing to activate it- so obviously they would make damn sure you don't have that on you! Or maybe you don't need tests- or it's about who can find the info fastest. lol Plus the one lady said not all memories are accurate.
This video is the pinnacle of victim blaming. He doubted her because she was a suspicious person. She had lied about a lot of things and her demeanor also suggested the same. His only mistake was to marry her.
Liam was very intuitive and could just sense he was being lied to. All the technology did was prove his intuitions were 100% correct. His instincts were correct on everything. So many times woman will use the, “You’re insecure and controlling” tactic to try and cover up their cheating, but never underestimate the power of human intuition.
I love the subtle signs of the political and social state of grain and grainless people in the world, like the woman in the group of friends judging the grainless girl. It makes it more realistic.
The main character in this one is soo attractive and seemed like a good guy. Who would ever cheat on that guy. I was confused watching that episode. I felt so sorry 4 him
You keep saying that fi still loves him. But for me honestly, if the 'love' is her banging another guy every time they get into fights that's a pretty cheap love that don't deserve reciprocation
@Hollow Shell Except it's not as simple as that, different wrongs here, by your logic a shoplifter and a murderer are equal because they're both guilty of something. I don't understand the logic of "he was an asshole so that justifies his whore wife for cucking him and fucking around behind his back for years", if she didn't like him she could have fucked off long before having a kid.
I was shocked to hear that people find Liam to be a monster. I sympathised with him from the start. And his wife did cheat on him and even the kid wasn't Liam's. I just never get how people can sympathise with the cheater. And God how annoying and creepy is Jonas !
I honestly prefer knowing the truth, being ignorant about a relationship is awful

Eoin Smith He assaulted people to get it.
@@1993ilykiana Probably because he knew deep inside he was right, with all the evidence he had.
Stopped watching after “insecure and obsessive”
Liam is a LAWYER. He see’s things, he questions them. His wife WAS cheating, everything he thought was 100% correct.
Was he wrong by escalating the situation and resorting to violence? Yes. Can I understand why he did so? YES.

Yeah i dont understand why people use insecure as an insult when people dont behave as they should in a relationship.Especially women who think they are immune to any consequence to their actions.
all humans that tell others fake truths are villains
I agree. I felt for Liam here. It really hurt to seem him turn violent, and it hurt to see him and Fi’s lives fall apart this way. The story was beautifully told.
Fi is the villian, but liam isnt a good guy either, it isn’t simply black and white

Depends on the person, some people are dedicated to finding the truth no matter how bad it is, others are happy with living a lie.

The only thing that would've redeemed her by a tiny bit was if she told him the truth. Liam was obssessive and insecure but he wasn't cruel. Like he said, "Look at what you did to me, Fi.
Man, really? The world is truly f*cked up ;_;
What the fk is up with your classmates?
I'm a female and honestly speaking this, "her body her choice" thing has been taken out of context and given "us" permission to do immoral acts. When a man does it, it's bad and frowned upon, but when a female does it, it's a right? These are the kind of things that make me question why we try to fight justice by being unjust. In certain cases of Trauma, distancing your present self from that scenario helps a lot. This device would only help to replay that experience over and over again, which may lead one to go absolutely insane
And it would also be invaluable for any situation in which you need evidence

@@ari3lz3pp3lin there is nothing wrong with not accepting a kid that is not his, what you are saying is just stupid. Nothing weak about not wanting a kid that is not YOURS.
Omfg.fuck your supposition.
He has Borderline Personality Disorder for realz
as someone who is in a relationship right now, I don't know how anyone can label him as obsessed and insecure.
Truth over lie EVERY SINGLE TIME. Ignorance is not bliss it’s just ignorance.
I think the whole point was that technology is a double edged sword. Did it help him discover the truth? Yes. Did it also create a rabbit hole effect that was psychologically damaging to him by allowing him to revisit past memories over and over? Yes. You’d get answers, but there’s a high price to be paid.
Liam had my sympathy the entire episode.
Liam was absolutely justified in most of his actions here. Overly emotional and obsessive? Yes. But, nonetheless he made the right choice by confronting his partner and her lover. I’d say that he was strong and resourceful. It usually takes a long time to build a case for your partner cheating and he had it figured out in a little over 24 hours.
You just wouldn’t be allowed to use that little handheld tool they use to rewind and view past memories during tests.
JayWard413 or people would basically have photographic memory so school wouldn’t be “school” anymore, I think anyways

I don't understand the logic of "he was an asshole so that justifies his whore wife for cucking him and fucking around behind his back for years", if she didn't like him she could have fucked off long before having a kid.
@@DeadEndScreamer exactly,cheating is a shitty move.
"Not everything that isn't true is a lie" quote of the decade. 😂😂
I was shocked to hear that people find Liam to be a monster. I sympathised with him from the start. And his wife did cheat on him and even the kid wasn't Liam's. I just never get how people can sympathise with the cheater.
And God how annoying and creepy is Jonas !
