Awesome video🥰 so wonderful you cover and support small businesses! She did mention a bidding site where she got some of her equipment, did she happen to mention which one? Thank you so much.
Love it this is 15 mins from me!! My cousin's shop The Nutrition Fix of Court House is moving in as a vendor here. Way to go and Congrats on your success!
❤️
GREAT VIDEO!
Thanks!
Love this, going to look into the laser engraver!!!
❤️
The towel warmer… genius! Where did she get it? Thanks for the great Video
Hi Wade, I just watched this wonderful interview and it's so encouraging! She mentioned a website that she had purchased her towel warmer and engraver on and it sounded like she said BidSight but I can't find anything on the web. Do you happen to have the website? Thank you and thank you for all the great content you are providing.
You both have great prices for retail space rentals! Where I am in Massachusetts it's $15 a square foot! I was looking at one place that was 1,200 ft²... There is no way I could afford that right now!
May I ask where you got the storage cabinets from please and Ty? 😊
Hi Wade, how successful are soy bubble candles, mine completely melt in 3 hrs and the wax scatters completely, is there a way to help them sustain longer, plz advise coz they look adorable and i want to make them work.
This is a awesome!
😁
😃
thank you, very good :)
Hi Wade
I’m hoping you can help me! I’ve researched and researched but can’t find an exact answer 😫
I’ve been making candles with IGI 6006 wax and they keep sending off a horrid stream of black smoke/soot (not all the time, but more often than not).
I’ve tried going down wick sizes, keeping wick trimmed and also added less FO.
I’m still getting sooting. 😫😫
Do you think I should add stearic acid in??
I don’t know what else to do, other than go and use a whole new wax. 😢😢
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.
Wade, I used to make candles years ago, really only sold to friends. I'd like to get back into to making them for myself and maybe sell to co-workers and friends but when I think of all the testing I went through and money spent back then it makes me not want to go through all that again. I used to use Joy wax from Natures Garden, never wanted to use straight paraffin. Is there anyway to cut down on all the testing and throwing money out the window doing it? Maybe a good guide for a starting point? I'd love to use candle tins since that would probably cut costs when I have them shipped to me. Would love advice from you or any candle makers on here.😊
Grandes toneladas de éxitos te deseo desde España, y muchas gracias por abrir las puertas de tu negocio que se ve muy hermoso y próspero. Gracias, gracias, gracias.
😁
I have a question I am just getting started, today I made a batch and added way to much fragrance, so can I remedy those candles and more wax an re pour them?
very cool:)
❤️👌
thanks for this video. great job to you both. impressive!!I think the best follow up is to actually see what kind of money she is making after a year or so.. will that shop size be for a long time or will she expand? Im super interested because I'm in a small town too.. I currently am a vendor in someone else's place and I'm not selling much but I'm trying to expand.. I still have to keep a real job at the moment..
Great suggestion!
Wade hi. Enjoying your videos very much. I want to start making candles but it seems here in South Africa we lack some of the more expensive or specialized equipment such as the presto pots and really beautiful containers. I am looking online but feel overwhelmed. There are many items from the East but I am not sure about security or reliability. I suspect that th South African candle supplies stores could trace these items for me, but I don't want the extra time and expense that would entail. Could you recommend any reliable supply companies for me?
Wade, let me first say.. as far as I am concerned you are the CANDLE GURU! Thank you for your content and sharing your experiences and knowledge with us.
Question please. Making and selling candles is fun AND profitable.. in your opinion why doesn’t everyone do it?
Many just don't want to put in the work, or lack of time, availability, money, experience etc. Really same reason everyone doesn't do any other successful business. :)
@@BlackTieBarn Thank you! That gives me hope that with some hard work and proper planning and strategies I too can one day see success!
Goals! Just finding a nice storefront where I live runs $2500+. I couldn’t imagine finding a space that nice for $550.
Same. Lol
Have you done any videos for 5 minute crafts candle stuff? That would be an amazingly funny video
Tried. Got copyright strikesd Lol
@@BlackTieBarn of course 🤦🏻♀️ that sucks.
I've looked over all of your links below and I'm not seeing a link to her website or socials, am I just not seeing it and it's there or....?
Very interesting I love candles but I live in Texas! Is everything you use USA made? Some candle give off dangerous fumes, do you avoid that and only produce safe cafe candles?
Hi! I'm Kenzie's mom and work with her in the shop. Everything that we use are USA products. The wax is all natural wax with no hardeners or additives. All our scents are carcinogen free. We Source them with companies that will either formulate them special for us or with companies that only offer clean scents. They are very clean with a very smooth burn!
You are probably talking about the myth about paraffin waxes. google or use youtube and go look up paraffin vs soy wax, this channel has one and so do a few more candle makers, but Wade's is the best of course.
We simply choose not to use the additives are hardeners and our candles. We feel that we get a much smoother burn without any wax hardeners or additives.
As someone who is doing this as a hobbyist, can I sell the samples I’ve made to friends and co-workers without any type of insurance? I know if I’m a business I would need it, but I’m not close to being there yet.
I can't really advise on this legally. But it's common abd your call
I'm still in my testing stage. 3 months in!!
You got it!
First view, 30 seconds after the upload 🎉 😂 ❤
Boom!
It's so nice to see small businesses helping each other out instead of undercutting each other. Fat cat CEOs could take note.
✨🖤🤍✨🖤🤍👍🏽👋🏽
❤️
Great interview and shop! I dream of paying that $$ for rent!
You and me both!
