A crack in the Castle of Glass just represents a cog in the machine. His purpose is not greater than the whole. It’s talking about loss in the military, understanding the sacrifice the father made for the greater good, and learning how to cope by following his example.
His father was a navy seal and died in action. Then he grew up and became a navy seal. At the end he was the one that had to tell the little girl her father died. It's a circle. Sad. My father was in world war 2, Korea and Vietnam. He was in Special forces in Vietnam. He came home, but he was never the same. He passed away from a heart attack when I was 18.

I think meaning of "I'm only a crack in this castle of glass" is like it's only a small crack, but if glass had even a small crack it will fastly ends up being whole crashed. I think it means when I became a crack, the whole life around me crashes
