Had a great time visiting the Model Car Videos Headquarters. The Green Room was most excellent as was the hospitality. Hope we can do it again sometime soon! Now get that frame made! 😁
absolutely enjoyed the the build tou did w/the 67 Goat soo much inspiration 😁🤩scooter d😎criticsim is only unwelcomed when it comes frome anyone other than your friend and neighbor😂🤣😅💛🤗
Really enjoyed you hanging out!! I've got the styrene ordered and already cut the rear half off!!
Great video reminds me of when I get together with a friend and we try to figure something out. I like Tim’s GTO well planned and executed and that cool little boat thing is just too much! Great video, Matthew, take care.
That was entertaining 😄. I went through the same learning curve with this 49 Ford kit bash. Thinking it would be easier to marry a 1988 NASCAR chassis than fabricating my own tub/chassis mods.🤣🤣🤣Boy was I wrong. I just put the tires and rims on this morning. They all touch down at the same time 👏. You and Tim make a good team 👍. Beautiful GTO he showed 👏👏👏. Enjoy your day
Thanks Edwin! It was a lot of fun!
Two cool builders hanging out and talking shop. I like it!
Thanks!
That was fun, Matthew and Tim!
Thanks Billy!! It was a blast
That looked like alot of fun Tim is a great dude and awesome builder! Thanks again for another great video
All we needed was you to add to the fun Mike!!
Your space looks both amazing and claustrophobic at the same time. Good stuff.
Lol!! For sure Jason!!
Thanks for the fun. It's a great idea. You guys were entertaining. I am starting a channel and will have content and shop cards as quickly as possible.
What me and friends of mine done over the years is taking the small testers spray paint and cut the inner circle of the cap top out which gives a nice 24th scale
Cool subbed to you looking forward to seeing your builds.😊
Awesome video when I scratch build a back half I sometimes use a socket just a bit bigger then the rear tires to build the wheel tubs starting with the half round inner tub then heating the evergreen around the socket to shape out the tub then build the frame rails tricks of the model trade
Great idea!!
@modelcarvideos5829 sockets work real good glad to help I've done that on lots of 30s and 40 pro street builds but when it comes to large scale I gotta think outside the box sometimes having to use the spray can lids as the wheel tubes
What a cool video! You can't go wrong taking advice from Tim.....I've known him for many, many years and shared many wonderful experiences with him! Keep up the good work, Matt!
Thanks John!! He's got a lot of knowledge between those ears for sure!!
Great video Matt and Tim. Learned a few new tips to use when detailing my builds. Thanks again guys.
Good vid !!! Scratch building is fun !!! Pill containers are good for wheel tubs .
👍🏻👍🏻
Matt & Tim - Loved it, you all should think about starting a Tim & Matt Show together along the same lines as you did this video. Loved the skratch building part along with Tim's Show & Tell! You could go back and forth with built model features and highlight what's what and what you were thinking when it was built! Iron sharpens Iron, maybe Tim can get you sharpened up! LoL! You're doing great already, otherwise I and many others wouldn't be watching your channel. Thanks!!!
Entertaining and helpful
It was a lot of fun having Tim over!
Great video ! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks!!
Good job boys. Very fun video.
It was a blast!!
Using evergreen is a must. That boat street rod is really cool! Ian Roussel would be proud!
👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome video ❤😊
Thanks Shawn!
This is awesome ❤
Met both of y'all in Roanoke Virginia at the MDA show
Thanks James!! Maybe we'll see you again this March
What an awesome visitor! Give him a kit and some awesome MCV Products and send him on his way home! Lol
Lol!! Fred if only you'd have been there!
@ sounds like a invite to me??? LOL
Excellent video Matthew! Now you know scratch building isn't as hard as you thought. You just have to think outside the box and use your imagination. I've been a subscriber to Tim's channel for a long time too. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍
Great video! Tim is a super talented modeller and an asset to the hobby.
Thanks Woody!! I agree 100%
Cool, fun video Matt!! Your friend Tim is a talented builder! A great way to start the new Year! Keep up the great work guys!🎉🎉
Thanks Daniel! Tim is a blast to hang out with!!
One of your best Matthew, Tim is a hoot and excellent builder as we all know. Very informative and entertaining....
Thanks my friend!! It was a blast!
How Fun! Cool Calab video.
THIS IS AWESOME! Wish ya'll could team up regularly.
Thanks!! I'd love that
That was a great video guys.
Thanks! I had a blast hanging out with Tim!
Great video, Matthew!
This is what I'm doing to the Chevy II wagon and the Opel GT. The Ford Courier I was a leg up on because a friend and I built a real one out of a brand new Courier. He actually took it back to the dealer for it's 1st oil change. You should have seen the mechanics eyes when he saw that straight axle and V8.
I'm still fussing with all 3 builds trying to get them the way I want. You wont see them at any shows.....yet.
The big thing is if you mess up the frame, build your own.
That filler putty hides a lot of mistakes too.
Still looking forward to Spartanburg in a couple of weeks!
Thanks, Tim for stopping by!
Cheers
Terry
Thanks Terry!! See you soon!
great video y'all guys are the best.
Thanks Leon!
for wheel tubs you can use a old prescription bottle cut the bottom off and split it cut to fit
What happened to the old steering wheel pack on mcv products? I like the old 5 pack better
Great video, very enjoyable and informative. Also if you put the leftover super glue in the freezer when you're done it'll keep much longer. I buy medium and thin glue in the pint size and never had it go bad, even after 2 years. Thank you for sharing, keep up the good work!
Thanks! I've heard about putting it in the freezer. I need to start doing that!
Great video. Maybe Tim or someone should do a scratch building story for one of the mags. I think we rely too much on aftermarket these days. Shoot I've got boxes of parts from the 90s that I've never used. Even though you know a I never finish anything I have spent innumerable hours scratch building different parts for a number of projects that I've thought up. It's fun and a challenge and very satisfying. Hope you pick up this skill permanently.
Great entertaining video
Thanks Chester!!
Awesome video.👍 Tim has some great builds.
Thanks John! He sure does!
awesome vid Matt dont put yourself out dou chu r da man😁🤩😎scooter
Thanks!!
USe REVELL Pro street Willy's chassis
Good idea!
On site tutorial from the Mad Scientist himself! Someone's got connections!
It was a great time Kelly!
Oh and thanks to Tim for the super glue tip. I've been cussing my super glue for years wondering why it doesn't dry fast anymore. Now I will buy the cheap stuff.
Cool video, interesting about cheap super glue.
For sure! It just feels too cheap to me but maybe I need to try it!
This video proves that anybody can start a car modeling UA-cam channel.
Fantastic video!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun!
Very cool hang out video with Tim K.
It was a blast!!
I’ve asked a couple times in my videos what should I do with something I can’t figure out. My subs come up with great ideas.
cool show. i use 2 by 4 for most of my drag car frames and round stock for chrome molly frames
👍🏻👍🏻
Who woulda thought that you could be a cheapskate and still be a Master Modeler? 😮😂 But… does he use Rustoleum to paint his models? 🤔🤣 Great video! Peace and love.
Lol!! TJ I don't think he does!
I just received a order excellent product but I have a question I ordered a gasser front set up the w48 wheels.how do you attach the wheels to the front suspension
I watch real car modification videos and try and think like a welder/fabricator.
For sure!
BORING
Very cool hang out video with Tim K.
Donnie it was a blast having Tim over!
