When you said 12 intervals AT 28…My first thought was- I’ll do my best. I’m excited to say I was able to stay with you at 28! That broke me past the mindset ‘reaction’ - which was doubting I could do it. Thanks Shane!

Thank you, Thank you Shane. This work out was fantastic. I'm in my early 50s, been rowing for over 30 years. Strained my lower back multiple times. Your videos corrected that issue. And.....most importantly, on this work out, I got into the 1:30s split per 500m. I haven't seen that in about a decade. For some that probably nothing, but for those of us that are older, it is pretty cool! So, thank you again Shane. I will keep watching, and will probably take that next step to the Dark Horse group.

I've being following you since the pandemic started. Bought a water machine and here
I am. Still rowing with you. I have Asthma, lung emphysema and also a spine problem on my lower back, and let me tell you I left the Chiropractic couple months ago because I improve a lot just rowing and doing some weights at home and no more pain on my back. Ofcourse I do some stretching exercises. And I'm feeling better and better. Thanks a lot man.

Shoutout from France Shane. I’ve been rowing for a month and your speech during this workout just got to me so hard that I felt compelled to come over and share my experience. You just got me zoned in and you definitely got the best out of me today! I even got goosebumps as I was rowing towards the end and pictured myself finishing that race hard! I couldn’t have done it without you! Keep up with these amazing videos! Cheers

Thanks for this workout. I was a little intimidated my it, and I gave myself a target split in the first 2 rounds. I not only matched but beat that split by 12 seconds! I learned not to underestimate myself and that by focusing on the mechanics the effort was manageable but the output increased more than I expected. And thanks for not calling out the number until the last 2. That mind trick helped me.

Did this workout at 4am today and I’m proud of myself for sticking with it! I know I can do better, though - challenge accepted! I’ll be coming back to this one to leave today’s version of me in the dust (or water…you know what I mean!). As always, I love these videos and how strong I feel after doing them. To those who don’t like Shane’s coaching throughout - use your mute button and just follow him! I personally like his encouragement, and especially on days when I’m tired and not really feeling it. Great videos, looking forward to the next workout 👍🏼👍🏼

I honestly have been tearing up during cool downs lately because of the encouraging things you say. I’ve been really self conscious about my appearance and I’m doing this to lose weight, get fit and feel better about myself. Shane, thank you. I have been so tied up with family stuff that I forgot to put my O2 on first. This row got my attention back on myself so I can do for others.
I got off on interval 10 by .5 spm but killed it on 11 and 12. Of course, this after doing the first 3 and resetting with my PM5 set for the intervals and rest. 🤫. Always Data driven. Thank you again. Next time with a bit higher damper setting. Be well. And I hope you enjoyed Austin.

The last hard rowing workout I did was in May. Switched over to the bike for the summer and then dealt with plantar fasciitis the last 3 months. Just started rowing again about 3 weeks ago but real easy 5ks just to get the motion back and make sure my feet were going to be fine. When I started this workout I knew it would be hard but decided I would just chill in the 200 - 240 watt range while Shane and everyone else looked at the back of my head. But dammit Shane. You just keep talking. And as I’m rowing listening to you talk I’m thinking “there’s no way in hell he’s going to drop me as he just yaps it up.” So I ended up steadily climbing to over 340 watts on that last round. Thanks for the inspiration and the coaching as we continue to learn from you! As a former Triathlete and Cyclist I know that if you can keep talking while rowing hard, then I can suck it up and stay with you. (Well at least I think I am. Can’t see your monitor. =). -Danny

Commenting here for the first time but have watched and followed along many of your workout videos. This is awesome. I always thought I was a decent rower, but learning the about the small things that I never thought to notice has made my mechanics better.
I was just jumping in, damper set to 10, and rowing until I cry.
Now, because of you, I've learned that it's okay to take my time. It's not as stressful. Lol.

Lost 30 lbs in the past month just from doing the 30 mins beginner training workout of yours from months ago and 30 mins on the treadmill at a 3.4 pace.
Eating better and nothing but water and sleeping 8 hours a day. I'm feeling better than I ever thought possible!!

This what caught me to finish what ive started and i feel less sick. thanks buddy.

I absolutely loved this workout, great psychology. Actually you did say the beginner shouldn't be doing this for 8 weeks but I had a sneaky peek in my reflective window beside me and reckon my strokes look better when I'm working harder. I only did this one because I fluffed recording my earlier beginner row follow along and felt up to carrying on. Did the whole workout grinning like a Cheshire cat.😊. How do I feel now? FANTASTIC. I wasn't sure if I had it in me to be faster at the end but with your coaching and encouragement...I'll be damned if I didn't blow my first few rounds out of the water (no pun intended). This was a good one! Many thanks.

I sure hope I did this right, there’s no programming for this one, right? Or just Row? Thanks so much from Kentucky.

Hi, I love your videos. My rower has resistance on it but I never hear you talk about that, what should my resistance be on? Also what videos are the best for 30 min workouts to lose weight on only rower
