Thank you for this very helpful tutorial. I've been needing to make some bias binding for round placemats I'm making. I have one of those bias tape makers and now I know how to use it! Love seeing Jax all relaxed in your sewing room.
Love your quilt behind you. I bought your pattern last fall and made an adorable pillow with 1 of the blocks. I plan on making the quilt this winter. Thanks Erica. Everything you do is so cute👍😋
Erica, thank you for your helpful videos. I look forward to each one. I have made many of your projects and quilts. I would love to know more about your fabric storage around the comic book cardboard you talked about. 😊
Hi! What is the tape you have on your sewing machine for the 1/4" seam marker? I need it in my life! Also, your videos are so helpful for this new quilter/sewing lady!
I was going to ask too. I looked in the description box, if it is the cluck sew , the link is broken. I bought a folded corner clipper ruler and it’s come in so handy for joining strips and making half square triangles.
I have watched quite a few of your tutorials. You do a nice job explaining! Thank you! I have a question about bias tape. Why can’t you use it as binding? I understand that it’s more stretchy but why does that matter for binding? Do you make up bias tape and binding for yourself? Or do you just mostly use your own binding?
You CAN use it as binding for sure! Some people really like it because it gives a quilt a bit softer edge. I always use this for my smaller projects and anything with curves.
I learned to make a continuous strip of bias binding many years ago from the University of Nebraska Home Economics class. Whitney Sewshas a great tutorial from August 2016 here on UA-cam It only requires two seams and it is really easy to follow.
Thank you Erica; you always make everything look so easy and you are a very good teacher.
Thank you in case I decide to make some. I needed a refresher course. You are such a good teacher.

Fantastic thank you
Single fold bias tape can be used for applique vines, etc. Reduces bulk
A tip: watch series at flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Justus Jaziel yea, I've been using flixzone} for since november myself :)

Yep you can get it here: amzn.to/3hK1DS1
I prefer to cut using continuous cutting method - no sewing individual pieces together.
Gosh, I've never heard of that?
Erica, Missouri Star has a tutorial on it. It's an oldie but goodie from December 2011 😊

@@danaandcompany9636 Man sewing 2nd July 2016 is my favourite one to follow
Carol Curtis yes, that’s the way I do it only I like to press my seams open before I cut.
I ended up with 2 pieces but it worked!! i figured i must have started cutting too far in the middle🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
